Development of the mammal assemblages during Quaternary climatic changes
Havlová, Tereza ; Mazuch, Martin (advisor) ; Nývltová Fišáková, Miriam (referee)
During the Quaternary there was a cyclical alternation of warm and cold periods - interglacials and glacials. Over the past 2.5 million years there was eighteen or twenty these cycles. These climate changes influenced by, except other, Milankovic cycles caused at sea level, extent of glaciation or distribution of vegetation zones. All these factors affected the communities of mammals, their distribution, migration and extinction of some groups of mammals. Area of continental and mountain glaciers expanded as well as levels of the ocean decreased during the glacials. Many species of mammals penetrated into new territory with the emergence of land-bridges a mammals from isolated areas could interact during cold periods. There was a retreat of glaciers and sea level rise and the migration routes through the land bridges was interrupted during the interglacials. Many, mostly island, populations were isolated and they were often developed to new endemic species. Key words: glacial, interglacial, climate changes, distribution, migration, extinction
Uplatnění zahradní a krajinářské tvorby v přeměnách historických prostorů. Valdštejnská lodžie v Jičíně
Havlová, Tereza
The first part of the thesis explores various possible approaches to solutions for historical spaces from the perspective of garden and landscape architecture. Furthermore, these spaces are divided to several categories that allow an architect to determine the methods employed in a work with a specific space. Principles and possibilities of changes are then exemplified using reference works realized in the Czech Republic as well as in other countries. Second part of the thesis proposes a solution for renewal of Valdštejnská lodžie in Jičín. This is a historical object with gardens, park and a game enclosure which is a part of composed landscape from the beginning of the 17th century. The proposed solution was based on a proper field research. The solution was then based on the results of the analyses. It respects the history of the object while offering a perspective of a contemporary landscape architect.
Preventive educational activities within Volunteer fire brigade in Kašperské Hoty
HAVLOVÁ TYMICHOVÁ, Tereza
Knowledge of the population to ensure its own security and in areas of population protection and fire protection are the basis of a secure society. For this reason, the implementation of preventive educational activities is one of the tasks of entities active in the field of population protection and fire protection. The diploma thesis focuses on the preventive educational activity realized within individual volunteer fire brigades. Population education and prevention themselves are not, by reason of the great demands on the knowledge and abilities of members, areas that volunteer firefighters would actively pursue. The aim of the thesis is to make preventive educational activities more attractive and to facilitate their implementation, for example by organizing a entertaining educational event for the public. That could be a demonstration of the VFB itself or demonstration of other rescue teams for the public which would contribute to increasing the knowledge of the population in the areas of safety. The fulfillment of the goal of the thesis was accomplished by own realization of a fun learning day and incorporating knowledge from the organizational process, including the planning, preparation and implementation period into the methodological manual, which become a guide for members of voluntary fire brigades, how to organize a preventive educational event. This methodical guide is the main output of the work. The actual realization of the event was preceded by investigation of the legal regulations and other available documents and materials, including an analysis of the historical development of education in the field of population protection. These were then compared with my own knowledge and acquired experience within the event organization, evaluation and advices from those who are engaged in preventive educational activities.

Evaluation of the building fire safety of the selected subjects in South Bohemia at the beginning and during their use
HAVLOVÁ TYMICHOVÁ, Tereza
The theme of the Bachelor thesis is to evaluate the fire safety of buildings of selected subjects in the South Bohemian region in the beginning and during its use. I have chosen this topic and this issue to rise awareness of its importance. The aim of the thesis to evaluate the current state of the fire safety of chosen subjects and if it is consistent with the requirements that were given in the beginning of its use. The statistics concludes that despite the best effort of the authorities of fire prevention, there are still cases of buildings' fires causing not only material damage. Those fires are caused mostly because of technical faults or negligence. It leads to the hypothesis, that given fire safety regulations are not met. There is rising number of negligence and reluctance to finance the prevention. This problems are in the area of interest of the offices of fire safety supervision. They are supposed to ensure that the building are in the same state of fire safety before they are put into use as well as during its use. In the first chapter is the summary of historical evolution of fire safety, following with current norms dealing with fire safety regulations as well as with construction norms. At the end is the explanation of state fire safety supervision. Third chapter deals with the research and with the conclusions. The research was conducted by observation of the state of fire safety in selected subjects of interest and interviews with their representatives. The result is the evaluation of strengths and weaknesses. There is also a consultation of the state with the expert in this area. The research has shown, that the state of fire safety is not in compliance with the state in the beginning of its use, taking in account that the buildings met the regulations valid in that time. Every subject has shown deficiency, and as the interviews had shown, the reasons are mostly lack of information, time and finances. Another result is, that state fire safety supervision conducts controls more likely in high risk building, such as big buildings and those who are in high risk for fire. The solution might be in larger involvement of volunteer fire brigades into the issues of fire safety prevention of buildings. It might promote this area to those of interest. The results will be offered as information for Fire rescue service of South Bohemia region or to the Ministry of Interior General directory of Fire rescue service of Czech Republic for the purposes of improving the quality of the controls conducted by state fire safety supervision.
