Great Carnivores and its Acceptation in Selected Region

The diploma thesis is focused on finding the relationship of primary school pupils and secondary school students to the carnivores of the Czech Republic in the Lusatian Mountains and Ralsko Upland. Among the selected carnivores are brown bear (Ursus arctos), lynx (Lynx lynx) and wolf (Canis lupus). Fox (Vulpes vulpes) is used in the thesis for comparison. The thesis collects the opinions on these carnivores and compares them. The survey was realized by questionnaire survey. The thesis includes the characteristics of carnivores and their extensions.
Coeliac Disease and its Effect on Everyday Life

Coeliac disease is an autoimmune digestive disease that damages the villi of the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food, and which is among the most common disease of the immune system. Essentially the body is attacking itself every time a person with coeliac consumes gluten. Currently is coeliac untreatable, the only treatment is a lifelong gluten free diet. Low public awareness and frequent late diagnosis usually causes unnecessary discomfort. For this reason are the most important aims of my work define basic knowledges about coeliac disease, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. At the same time it should also provide an information, especially to general public about the effect of the disease on the quality of life.

Analysis of pharmacist's opinions due to generic drugs and generic substitution Author: Hadravová P. Tutor: Vlček J., Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic Background: Generic substitution (GS) came into force by the law in the Czech Republic in January 2008. Followed by a huge discussion about quality and safeness of generic drugs among health professionals. They discussed not only the safety of generic substitution but as well its contribution to the society. However, most of the discussions, were based on unsubstantiated information. Aim of study: This study was focused to gather and analyze the opinions, experiences and knowledge of pharmacists on the issue of generic substitution and generic drugs. Methods: The survey was conducted as a prospective observational cross-sectional study by using questionnaires. Data were collected from November 2008 till April 2009. 7665 members of Czech Chamber of Pharmacists were approached. The collected data were evaluated by descriptive statistics and for evaluation were used selected parametric and nonparametric tests. Results: Six hundred and fifteen pharmacists responded.
