The Notion of Social Sin in the Texts of Liberation Theology and the Documents of the Magisterium
Gabrielová, Anna ; Jandejsek, Petr (advisor) ; Noble, Timothy (referee)
In the second half of the 20th century, Latin American liberation theology has enriched the theological debate with the notion of social (alternatively structural) sin, which means a non-individual form of evil, often connected with institutions or social structures. The aim of this bachelor thesis The notion of social sin in the texts of liberation theology and the documents of the magisterium is to describe and elucidate the concept of social sin and to compare it with the similar thoughts developed in the documents of the magisterium. However, the thesis also points to the more general considerations about the nature of sin and evil, seeks the relation between the images of social and original sin and sketches the consequence of the concept of structural sin for social work. The effect of Pilates on stability and walking parameters in patients with multiple sclerosis.
Gabrielová, Anna ; Novotná, Klára (advisor) ; Kövári, Martina (referee)
The thesis investigates problems of walking and balance disorders in patients with multiple sclerosis and the effect of group Pilates lessons. The theoretical part provides an overview of the current knowledge about the disease - etiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics, types and symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS) and the possibilities of therapy. The Pilates method, its history and principles of exercise are described. The aim of the practical part was to evaluate the effect of the Pilates program on walking and balance in MS patients. The group included 32 patients, 21 in the experimental group and 11 in the control group. The experimental group participated on the 10 - week Pilates program. Standardized gait and balance functional test were used for objective assessment; patient outcome measurements were used for subjective evaluation of exercise effect. More detailed gait parameters were obtained using the GAITRite instrument. Measurements were performed before and after therapy. Significant change - improvement (p < 0.05) was observed in some values of balance parameters, walking parameters and even in some subjective questionnaires. Therefore, we suggest, that group exercise lessons supervised by experienced instructor may be beneficial exercise therapy for people with MS and mild disability....

The Culture of Speech in Adolescents
Gabrielová, Anna ; Tichá, Alena (advisor) ; Volavá, Iva (referee)
Voice plays an important role in the life of man. Its correct use depends on various situational contexts as well as on human personality. The quality of voice is directly connected with the quality of oral expression. An important aspect to be considered when discussing the issue of voice (vocal expression) is psyche. The quality of voice is influenced by the general life attitude. When the problems typical for the age of adolescence are taken into account, teenagers apparently belong to those whose vocal health can be easily harmed. The research has proved the obvious connection between musical education and the relation to the issue of voice. Moreover, the correlation between voice cultivation and the style of oral expression, specifically the use of standard Czech, has also been confirmed. The use of standard Czech language positively influences the awareness of voice using. According to the research findings, the quality of voice is closely connected to the meaning of spoken word. The relation between voice quality and psyche has also been proved.
