The theoretical part contains information about risk in projects, basic division and control. The practical part solves risks on a particular construction contract in a particular company. The part includes identification and risks assessment with a proposal for preventive measures to reduce or complete elimination.

The aim of this diploma thesis is a construction order preparation and management from aspect of investor. The diploma thesis is divided on the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains information about life cycle of the project, the legislative environment, financing and about contractual relations between projects. In the practical part, these theoretical knowledge are subsequently are applied to a particular public contract where the investor is the town of Mohelnice. A target of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze the entire course of the implementation of the public construction contract from preparation to completion and putting into operation.

From Ghostly Hooves to Phantom Voices: Sound as a Source of Anxiety in Selected British Ghost Stories

The thesis discusses the use of sound as a means of inducing anxiety in four selected British ghost stories that were published either during or closely after the Victorian period. Each story was analyzed focusing on the kinds of sounds the author employs, the nature and cause of the haunting, the response of the characters, also with the references to the historical background and context. The primary texts were selected according to the diverse types of sounds that the authors use in them. The first chapter deals with "The Open Door" (1881) by Margaret Oliphant in which she employs a weeping child ghost looking for his mother, that haunts another child and his family. The following chapter comments on William Hope Hodgson's "The Horse of the Invisible" (1910) where an allegedly cursed family is haunted by the sounds of an evil horse galloping and neighing. The story, which is part of the series which features the occult investigator Thomas Carnacki, combines detective and ghost story elements. The third chapter analyses "The Mass for the Dead" (1893) by Edit Nesbit, which follows a couple being haunted by choral music, told from the point of view of one of the lovers. Library of Karel Teige - the source for studying literary history

(in English) The paper analyzes the personal library of Karel Teige, the leading theorist of the Czech avant-garde, with respect to its cultural and political context. It presents the available information on its history and its role for studying literary history, surrealism in particular. The literary estate of Karel Teige is currently located in the National Museum Library (3828 items), Museum of Czech Literature (PNP; approx. 290 items), and partly in private ownership. Its composition reflects Teige's lifelong active participation in Czech surrealism and incorporates valuable samizdat books from the wartime period, when surrealist activities were illegal.
