The development of rail transport and its infrastructure

Investment projects of companies can be assessed by various methods. There are methods non-profit character, as well as static methods, dynamic methods and real option methods. The basic requirement for the method should include liquidity factor, time factor and the risk factor in the evaluation. Methods that do not respect these demands, we can consider the approximate methods. However, there are areas where these methods can not be simply used. The main objectives of this thesis are the specifications of the problems of development of transport, especially railway transport in the Czech Republic and its comparison with neighboring countries and the characteristics and assessment methods to evaluate investments in transport, which are used for the assessment of transport projects in the Czech Republic.

Financial analysis of BEST, Inc.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the development of the financial position of BEST corporation from the year 2005 to 2010, to evaluate the financial health and to identify the causes that influenced the changes in financial indicators. The financial analysis was conducted from the perspective of external users based on publicly available information. The methodological part explains the financial analysis tools, methods and indicators that are applied in practical part of the analyzed company. The financial health of the company was assessed on the basis of horizontal and vertical analysis of balance sheet and income statement, financial ratios, creditworthy and bankruptcy models. The compliance with the balancing rules and normal relations was also assessed. Finally, the financial situation was evaluated in terms of economic value added and the results of analysis of the ratios compared with values in the industry. The conclusion summarizes the most important lessons from the practical part and evaluates the overall financial situation of the company.

Analysis of the specific business in road passenger transport

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze business specific on the bus service market. The theoretical part analyzes the characteristics of transport services and transport market. In addition, this part is devoted to marketing, transport, financial management of the transport company, transport indicators, indicators of the transport quality and transport policy. The practical part of this thesis is focused on the situation on the transport market in Karlovy Vary region and in particular bus route Karlovy Vary - Prague. It's calculated the break event point of occupancy and then is calculated the momentum of population within the whole transport sector, but also directly for the bus service. The last part is devoted to the optimization and integration in the transport sector.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is the financial analysis of the company Arval, Ltd. for the period 2006-2009 to establish the financial situation of company from the perspective of manager and determine its position in the market of the leasing company. In the theoretical part is characterized the nature of financial analysis, the users and the methods the analysis of absolute indicator, financial ratios, evaluation of business performance and methods used in inter--company comparison. In the practical part is analyzed leasing market first, then presented the company and next selected methods applied. Values of indicators are compared over time and compared with competitors. Selected competitors are LeasePlan, Ltd., Business Lease, Ltd. and Škofin, Ltd.

Zdůrazňuje priority při poskytování přepravních služeb v silniční dopravě a nastiňuje praktické kroky vedoucí k jejich dosažení.

City logistics and simulation in city logistics

One of the biggest problems of today is transport, especially in the cities. The transport has many negative effects, like congestions, pollution and others. The solutions of this situation are very hard and they have no integrated methodology. This doctoral thesis has two theoretic objectives: 1. set up new concept of city logistics, which means the integration of several disciplines, important for integrated admission to soluted problems 2. validate the pertinence of simulation in the new koncept of city logistics, created in objective 1 The thesis has also one concrete objektive, which is the validation of effectiveness of one project. The investigated project is removal of the train station in Brno.

Finanční řízení zahraniční mise neziskové organizace

Práce ověřuje pracovní hypotézy: (i) finanční řízení zahraniční mise nestátní neziskové organizace je specifickou oblastí, která si zaslouží vlastní metodologický přístup a (ii) požadavky na finančního manažera zahraniční mise jsou odlišné od běžného finančního manažera nestátní neziskové organizace Popisuje poslání, hodnoty a vize nestátních neziskových organizací, strategické řízení, finanční plánování, project cycle management, rizika v neziskovém sektoru a finanční zdroje. Praktická část definuje humanitární a rozvojovou pomoc, vysvětluje pozici organizace v tomto kontextu a vymezuje charakteristiky zahraničních misí, dále popisuje finance v organizační struktuře, vysvětluje finanční plánování, ekonomiku misí na Kavkaze a ukázkový rozpočet projektu, nakonec popisuje pracovní náplň finančního manažera mise a specifika života a práce v rozvojovém světě.

Strategic analysis of Airbus and Boeing

The market for large commercial aircraft is in turn dominated by the duopoly of Airbus SAS, a division of EADS, and Boeing Commercial Airplanes, a division of The Boeing Company. My Aim is to describe the current strategic and financial situation of the two largest companies in the aerospace industry with a particular focus on the divisions supplying Large Commercial Aircraft. I describe the production of civil airliners in the whole context of the current global economic situation and the future of aviation. Strategic analysis using methods like PESTLE analysis, PORTER 5F and SWOT focuses mainly on the analysis of macro environment in relation to the companies and aviation business as it is the main driver of aviation expansion. The success of business strategies of both companies will influence the air traffic in the future, determine its nature, quality and availability for customers. Strategic analysis of the intense mutual competition will summarize the main company strategies and their current financial situation. Air traffic development is closely connected to the subject and is also analyzed. Source materials for the analysis are Airbus and Boeing annual reports, public corporate documents, press articles and journals on the topic of aviation and transportation, public IATA reports and other expert studies and forecasts are also used.

Financial fundraising

This thesis deals with the financial fundraising, whose task is to find for a non-profit organizations from various sources with sufficient funds to fulfill the mission of serving.The goal is to characterize the possible sources of funding non-governmental organizations and describe the ways how to gain support from different sources. They also point out other activities related to fundraising and supporting its success. The practical part shlould serve as the application of the fundraising practices of civil associations and also specific explanation of reasons for not using certain types of fundraising that other non-profit organization uses. In the theoretical part, there are explained the sources of funding, different types of fundraising methods and approaching donors (fundraising methods). Because of the close relation to fundraising, there is also the issue describes the budgeting. The thesis also deals with relationships with potential and existing donors. Later there is an issue of PR as Public Relations influence the views of potential donors to the organization and the decision granting or with holding allowance. Practical part serves as a practical application of usability practices in fundraising.

Financial Analysis Aero Vodochody a.s.

The main objective of my graduation theses is to analyze the financial and economic situation of Aero Vodochody Corporation between 2005 and 2009. Another goal is to review the entrance of the strategic owner into Corporation in 2007 including its steps taken during the restructuring of the company. I am focusing on the theoretical fundamentals of my financial analysis and its defined basics of method in the first part of my theses. Those are applied in second part of theses. Results of economics situation of corporation is summarized in conclusion of this theses.
