New Synagogue in Brno

The diploma thesis "New Synagogue in Brno" is processed in the form of architectural studies and containing all requirements in accordance with applicable regulations. The proposed building´s are located between the streets Dornych, Spálená, Přízová and Mlýnská. Object’s are closing city block and completing the look of the street Dornych. The synagogoue was rotated to the west compare to the street line about 17°. Synagogue is a two-storey building without a basement and it´s used only for worships. Jewish Community building is a three story building with three underground floors. The building contains a museum of Jewish culture, kosher restaurants, mikveh ritual bath, library and administration. In the basement is a parking stackers and technical equipment of buildings. Supporting structure is concrete frame construction. Facades are designed like structural glazing system. Part of the processing work was the development of facade section, section thru the diffusing glass and architectural detail.

The diploma thesis was developed as an architectural study. The subject of the proposal is a new synagogue for Jewish community of Brno, which is designed in the plot where the original The Great Synagogue was located. The object of the synagogue is supplemented by a museum and a community centre and all buildings together create a comprehensive complex of buildings. A new urban public space is created among these objects. By this is the Jewish centre integrated into the structure of the city. The base of architectural and constructional design is simplicity and functionality, but the proposal also respects Jewish traditions and typology.

The subject of the diploma thesis is to design a new synagogue and Jewish community center in Brno. The construction program consists of a synagogue, office building of theJewish comunity center, the Museum of Jewish Culture and a kosher restaurant and housing of permanent and temporary nature. Generally, the thesis deals with parking solutions in the form of a public three-storey underground garage.
High-rise building in Brno

The subject of the diploma thesis is an architectural study, proposing a high-rise building in the city of Brno, located at the intersection of Veveří and Šumavská street. The building is designed as a Creative center, bringing together all the creative professions. To present the art to the general public is proposed a Gallery as an important part of the project. The building height is 143,2 meter with a cubic shape and minimalist facade. A part of the proposal is a an exterior exhibition space.
Skyscraper "EVO"

The subject of this diploma thesis is the architectural design of Skyscraper "EVO" (experimental high-rise building) located in Brno. The building integrates various functions (residential, restaurant, shops, office space and gallery) at relatively small built-up area. The aim of the thesis is to create the design of a high-rise building with appropriate scale and which creates space for interconnection of different functions and will become new dominant of the city. The proposed building is located in the part of the city called Veveří. The building site is defined by Šumavská and Veveří streets. The building is designed as a single rectangular prism shaped volume. The entrances to the building are at the level of surrounding terrain. The building has 31 aboveground floors and 9 underground floors. The simple shape of building is structured by horizontal bands of consoles which create shields against excessive sun exposure and vertical atriums embedded in the main volume. These atriums connect interior and exterior. This atrium create connection between interior and exterior and ease the penetration of natural daylight inside the building. The dominant material used is glass, which is applied both in exterior and interior. The glass used on glazing of atrium sis colored transparent photovoltaic glass. Bands are in white color.
Skyscraper "EVO"

The study offers a solution of a high-altitude object in Brno in the city part called Veveří. There are proposed two towers which are designed in a simple cubic form ( their heights are 154 a 80 metres ) rising from the surrounding buildings. Towers are mutually interconnected by lower object in the same morphology. In the object are situated administrative spaces, hotel, restaurant, coffee bar, penthouse, congress hall, vertical gallery, painters´ incubator and parking house. Particular functions can be connected because of layout plan, or can be used as separate units. The interpretation of the facade of the object is to highlight verticality, due to the raster and increasing reflecting surface of glass segments verticality and evoke by this a feeling of a tower ending in the middle of clouds.

Thesis is a study of architectural skyscraper „EVO“ (experimental high-rise building ) in Brno. Building site is on the corner the street Veveří and Šumavská. The objective of the study is to create a high-rise building near the center of Brno. Building contains administrative, gallery and luxury housing. The proposal is based on the tradition of architecture in Brno – clean lines and simple shapes. Another inspiration is green. The green place arises around the skyscraper, but also inside skyscraper. It becomes a natural part of its. In other words : the green grows through the building.

CENTRE EXPANDS POSSIBILITIES OF SPORT AND RELAXATINO LIFE ON THE BRNO RESERVOIR. MAINLY IS FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE WATER SPORTS - ROWING AND DIVING CLUB. BOTH CLUBS ARE DESIGNED MAINLY TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN BRNO, FOR WHICH IS OFFERED THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCOMMODATION. ALSO ARE IN BUILDING LEASEABLE AREAS FOR taking LECTURES, WORKSHOPS, RECEPTIONS ... CAFETERIA AND RESTAURANT ARE OBVIOUS. "WIND FACADE" - MOBILE ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENT - SLICES OF BRASS SHEETS ARE MOVING IN THE WIND AND REVIVES FACADE. WAREHOUSE FOR BOAT BEHIND FACADE IS PERMMANENT VENTILATED BUT INACESSIBLE FOR PUBLIC.

The proposed leisure center building Rowing Club bellows is located in southern part of the Brněnské přehrady between section Rakovec and Kozí horka. The building stands on existing club Lodní sporty Brno in the parcel čp. 1236. The idea of building is a ship sailing on the mainland, whose sails it look like waves. Student accommodation is designed to the second, third and fourth floor. Restaurant and administrative facilities connected to the terrace is designed in the basement. In the first underground floors are designed locker rooms, athletic facilities, kitchen and in the second underground floors is designed rowing pools and rowing boatyards connected to the ground. On the eastern side is a wooden rack tribune. Roads and pavements around the building are designed with simplicity and function.

The new proposed building Leisure time centre Brno is to create a dignified place for leisure activities, especially for water sports and more attractive place around the Brno dam. Rowing sport has a long tradition near Brno and also today there are two rowing clubs and this sport is in great demand. The new center will offer more options, greater capacity and more advanced technology. The basic idea of architectural design is to incorporate the object into the environment so as not to interfere with the character of the surrounding landscape and doesn‘t protrude from the surrounding buildings. Leisure time centre consists of two buildings, rowing club and accommodation for students. Both objects are separated by different shapes . The building of Rowing Club consists of four masses whose shape is inspired s of rowing sport, especially shape of oars. There was effort to create an architectural form that will be close to the sport, its curves will be resemble the motion, grace and speed…..they are characteristics of rowing sport. In the building is located restaurant, administrative part, sports part and boathouse. Accommodation for students is in the form of rails, offers accommodation for students who represent their faculty in the rowing sport.
