Campaign for the same-sex marriage in the Czech Republic and its presentation in Czech online media

This thesis defines the basic terms concerning not only the homosexual minority but also other sexual minorities, and maps the historical and social development of primarily Czech gays and lesbians from the late 19th century to the present. Based on the study of selected Czech literature dealing with the history of homosexuality, the author presents the first preserved mention of people with minority sexual orientation in the territory of the Czech lands, describing their situation during the First Republic, World War II and Totalitarianism. The author devotes substantial part to the associations and movements that could be legally founded after 1989 and also presents a list of various radio and television programs and printed periodicals. At the same time, the thesis illustrates the efforts of this sexual minority to improve its social acceptance and its rights. It also describes specific milestones that led to the removal of homosexuality from the list of diseases in Czechoslovakia and subsequently the Czech Republic, through the adoption of the registered partnership act to the same-sex marriage campaign. Media education in Leisure Education: Social Networking Sites as a Challenge for Educators

The master thesis deals with educational approaches and attitudes to social networking sites in leisure education in Czech Budweis. The theoretical background describes current social networking sites and benefits for their users. Next there are descriptions of puberty years, of leisure time as a time when social networking sites are used the most and of leisure education. The thesis includes comparison of Czech and Dutch approaches to media education in their educational systems. The research part includes opinions of leaders working in leisure education in Czech Budweis about an educational influencing of using of social networking sites and their experiences. Into research were joined 9 schools and school institutions for leisure education from Czech Budweis. The first part of the respondents do not devote to education of using of social networking sites. The second half of the respondents is trying to educate children to be conscious about risks, to understand to rules of social networking sites. Leaders talk with the children about a content which the children see on their accounts. But the leader´s influence causes just that the children know theoretical informations. So it is important to find a way how to teach children in a way that leader´s educational approaches make them behave differently and make them know about other possibilities of using social networking sites.
Media influence on upbringing and personality of children 1st grade of primary school

Into mass media of current modern time belong periodical press (newspapers, magazines), broadcasting and internet. It´s one-way form of social communication available to everyone and significantly participate on human socialization. Thanks to diversity of their contents, provides many kinds of using (spending free time, education, entertainment, relax). But in the most of these subjects we can find besides actual information, factors, which can have negative influence on upbringing and children personality development. These factors include information but also elements of violence, aggression and erotic. Media influence on children depends with their age, which reflects the level of cognitive functions, critical thinking and intellectual abilities.
