Procedurally Generated City
Hájíček, Lukáš ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Šolony, Marek (advisor)
This work is about procedural generation of cities. There are defined the different stages of city development and existing methods used to achieve them. The following describes the procedures used to implement a system capable of generating cities. The resulting generator is able to generate cities based on given parameters such as density of streets.
Use of Augumented Reality to Teach Guitar/Bass Playing
Kajan, Miroslav ; Zachariáš, Michal (referee) ; Šolony, Marek (advisor)
This final work deals with a design and implementation of a system suitable for teaching guitar playing by using the technology of augmented reality. A webcam and the musical instrument itself are necessary for a guitar player to achieve the main aim. The system is based on a principal of homography and other techniques to work with the image. The system also renders the tones of a chosen trained element (an accord or a scale) right into the image captured by a webcam.
3D Reconstruction of Human Body Motion (MOCAP)
Černák, František ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Šolony, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with object recognition in image, motion capturing and his transformation into 3D coordination system and 3D reconstruction. The problem was solved by building stereo camera system, detection of markers on a moving object and getting his position in space using triangulation. Hit rate of 95%  was achieved in marker detection at close range and accuracy of 3D reconstruction answers to reality at certain extend. The main finding of this work is that it is possible to reconstruct body motions with a pair of simple web cameras.
Braille Reader
Mezírka, Martin ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis concern with problem transforms Braille's documents into text form. At first focus on Braille alphabet and principle of the scanners. Next is represent design of potential method of recognition Braille's documents. At the end is situated description of program's implementation with used library    OpenCV and Qt framework. Conclusion discusses reliability and some program's extensions.
Team-Based Microblogging Service
Krutiš, Tomáš ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on the creation of microblogging services for teams. The thesis describes the research and analysis of current microblogging services and finding their strength and weaknesses. Based on the analysis is designed new service which focuses on communication between team members. It is also discussed implementation of the proposed service and on the conclusion are summarized future extensions to improve this service.
Orchard Module Development
Mecháček, Ondrej ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with creating a new module for Orchard CMS. A new module is based on the original module Media for file management, which supports only a very limited number of file types. The work was written in C # language using Microsoft. NET Framework version 4. The aim of this thesis was to create the new module and publish it on the website of The Orchard project.
Button Search in Forms
Dyk, Tomáš ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis describes a system for automatic detection of buttons from a screen photo. The system is used together with a robotic arm and a camera to detect buttons on the screens of embedded devices. After detecting buttons on the screen, the algorithm commands the robotic arm to click on the position of the detected button. The algorithm creates a navigation map in which all screens of the device are visible by systematically clicking through all buttons on all screens. For each screen, the positions of the detected buttons and the destination to which the screen points are stored.
"Sci-Fi" Music Library
Holas, Jan ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with usage of computer vision as a way of interaction between human and computer. It introduces implementation of music library and audio player which is controlled by showing CD jewel cases of music albums and audio player paper control cards on a camera connected to a computer. This thesis describes algorithms for segmentation of an object from scene based on object's rectangular shape and matching that image with image database (music album database) using SURF feature detector. In conclusion, it summarizes achieved results and mentions some ideas and possibilities of further development.
Software Keyboard for Android
Šilhan, Jan ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Zachariáš, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a unique software keyboard for Android framework. First part of the thesis is the overview of current keyboards on the market, where I also mention a difference between them and my concept. In the next chapter I describe how the pattern of custom keyboard works and what components I used to build the application. After that I explain my steps during the process of implementation and how I solved particular problems. Finally I deduce usability, possible expand of keyboard among the Android users and potential future features.
Advanced Notes for Android
Máca, Michal ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis deals with a proposal and an implementation of an application for work with notes on the Android operating system. This application uses the sensors of a mobile platform for advanced functions of the application. The first part of thesis deals with the theoretical information about the Android operating system and information about application develop for this operating system. The theoretical part contains proposal of the application, her implementation and the testing.
