Šarapatková, Anna
This thesis deals with the evaluation of selected utility parameters that were monitored in a specific small farm engaged in pig fattening. The first part of the work contains a literature review. Firstly, the situation in the field of pig breeding in the Czech Republic is described, including pig breeds and their utility properties. The method of housing, nutrition, and care for pigs during fattening from piglet to slaughter is then described. In the second part of the bachelor thesis, the specific small farm is described and the monitored values are presented. These include average daily gains, average feed consumption, and feed conversion. These parameters are evaluated, and measures to improve production efficiency are proposed for the farm.
Measurement of (anti)immigration Attitudes from the Methodological Perspective. Quality of Measurement with the Special Focus on Measurement Equivalence
Šarapatková, Anna ; Remr, Jiří (advisor) ; Soukup, Petr (referee)
Opportunities that we have in today's world are sharply evolving, and the world is changing all together with these changes. This development is noticeably observed within the topic of global movement of (not only) population, which has changed fundamentally, both economically, politically and socially. Today's so much diversified form of migration, which has lost its transparency it used to has, is a very up to date and debated topic currently almost all over the world. Because of high importance of the topic "migration" it is often subject of research and number of surveys. One of the most examined area within the topic migration is attitudes of people towards immigration and immigrant, oftentimes together with investigating cause leading to particular attitude. Due to the international reach of the topic, these attitudes are often subject of cross-national research or national research, which, however, use data from international surveys. There is a clear disparity across European states in these attitudes towards immigration and, above all, the immigrants themselves. Given this nature of cross-national surveys measuring attitudes towards immigrants, it is important to focus on the measurement quality, which is becoming increasingly complex in the perspective of international research. It is...
Individual Pregame Rituals and Their Interpretation by Athletes Themselves
Šarapatková, Anna ; Hájek, Martin (advisor) ; Märzová, Hana (referee)
This thesis examines ritualized behavior, further more widen on the issue of ritualized behavior in sport. After describing the theoretical framework of this problem, the research, which is a part of the thesis, focuses on the rituals more specifically. Attention is paid to ritual behavior that athletes practice in relation to their sport and especially to performance they bring. Research is concerned about behavior which is individual. The main aim of the research is to create a classification of ritualized behavior based on individual reasoning of this behavior by its participants and at the same time based on Max Webers theory of behavior. Other findings show what are the functions of this specific behavior of athletes or how the ritualized behavior varies across different groups like gender and if the sport is individual or collective. Research has showed up that classification of the ritualized behavior is dual because the reasonings of athletes are dual, too. In the first case athletes do rituals because 1) they saw someone to do that or someone told them to do it, or 2) they did it once and it proved to them so they started to do it every time. The second way of reasoning says that athletes behave this way to 1) win or do the best, or/and 2) optimalized their psychological state. The function of...
