Water resources and water pumping sites for fire equipment in Písek district.
VIKTORA, Vladimír
In my diploma thesis I have created the updated version of water sources and pumping sites for fire equipment in the Písek district. I acquired large volumes of data by a detailed physical inspection of possible water sources in all villages in the Písek district. In my thesis I have mentioned water sources only in those villages that are classified into fire protection units, category II and III. The complete summary of all water sources and water pumping sites is on the attached CD. The data contain the name of the village, type of water source, GPS coordinates, additional information about the water source and any additional notes regarding repairs, distances from the village, etc. Photo documentation and the map section were produced for each water source. In many villages, there are hydrant networks which, in those villages where there is no water source, can have a substantial effect on fire safety. The thesis also includes the list of all hydrant networks in the Pisek district, including the owners and operators. The thesis can be used for the Operating and Information Centre of the Fire Brigade for the South Bohemian region which, for the demand for water for rescue and liquidation can send the unit directly to the water source according to the ascertained data. For some water sources, below the table in the note, there may be corrections or improvements that lead to a better use of these sources. The thesis monitors the existing status of the water and pumping sites for fire equipment in the Pisek district. I compared the acquired data with data from South Bohemian Region Regulation No.4/2003 at 2.12.2003. It results from the compared data that permanent updating and communication on the part of the municipalities with the Fire Brigade is necessary. In many places, water sources are closed and new water points originate with the possibility to pump this basic and main extinguishing agent.

Independent monitoring of Nuclear power plant Temelin environs by Regional centrum of SONS České Budějovice. Project of independent monitoring NPPTE in the case of Emergency incident.
ZEMAN, Karel
The State Office for Nuclear Safety (SONS) and the National Radiation Protection Institute (NRPI) are involved in independent monitoring of surrounding areas of nuclear power plants (NPPs), in accordance with the Czech legislative requirements (Decree No. 319/2002 Coll. on radiation monitoring network (RMS), as amended by Decree No. 27/2006 Coll.). The monitoring includes surveillance of environmental samples, in which radionuclides can be detected in case of emergency event, i.e. radioactivity release from the NPP. Another part of the monitoring is measurement of photon dose equivalent, continuously in the air (early detection network - SVZ) or using thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLD) placed in SONS monitoring points in the NPP vicinity. Environmental sampling and evaluation of photon dose equivalent in the air is carried out in regular intervals. The 137Cs and 131I activity is measured by gamaspectrometry method used with Gamat evaluation program, according to SONS internal procedure (VDMI). Tritium activity in surface water is measured by liquid scintillation spectrometer Beta TriCarb made by Canberra Packard Company, according to methodology CSN ISO 9698 (757635). Evaluation of dose equivalent rate is carried out continuously by LB 6360 proportional probe and LB 6500-3 Geiger-Muller tube located in RC Building in Ceske Budejovice. TLD evaluation is carried out by NRPI laboratory in Prague and the results are sent to SONS RC Ceske Budejovice. Goal of this work is to provide a set of results of the independent monitoring in surrounding areas of Temelin NPP (ETE) carried out between 1999 and 2009, by determination of volume, mass or surface activity of environmental samples (137Cs and 131I) and spot samples of water (3H) taken from SONS monitoring points near ETE . The set of such results should provide a baseline reference values for normal (pre-accident) situations. Additionally, based on the long term of the ETE surrounding surveillance, it can be shown that the ETE operation represents no threat to the health of the critical population group, and that the radiation situation in the ETE surrounding is stable. It can be also shown that the ETE operator meets requirements and conditions of authorized limits for discharging radionuclides into the environment. Procedures and method of independent environmental monitoring in the ETE surrounding during emergency events can be proposed on the basis of many years of experience with proven methodologies, experience with sampling locations, staffing and organization of measurement.

What aspects make life with handicap different? And is it actually different at all?

Autor: Monika Nováková Instituce: Ústav sociálního lékařství LF UK v Hradci Králové Oddělení ošetřovatelství Název práce: What aspects make life with handicap deifferent ? And is it actually different at all? Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Mariana Štefančíková, PhD. Počet stran: 87 Počet příloh: 10 Rok obhajoby: 2012 Keywords: physically handicapped person, polio, relationships, upbringing, difference Our thesis tries to provide an insight into the life of a woman who has been afflicted with polio since the age of 18 months. We deal with how she herself evaluates the impact of a physical handicap on her life. To what extent her life and the lives of her family have been influenced by the fact that they lived, and some still do live, in a common household and were thus, or still are, participants in life with a physical handicap. We try to show that it is possible to be a fully-fledged member of society even with a physical handicap, to be of benefit to society and in the case of our protagonist, also to be a good mother to your daughter. We try to show that many obstacles, which a physical handicap is credited with, may only play out in the mind of the handicapped person or in the minds of his or her fellow citizens.

Mycorrhizal and endophytic roots of aquatic plants
Borovec, Ondřej ; Vohník, Martin (advisor) ; Kolařík, Miroslav (referee)
Interactions between fungi and plants can be found all around us. We would hardly find a plant neither containing a single hypha in its rhizosphere nor infested with a fungal pathogen. Whereas interactions of these organisms are well and described in terrestrial ecosystems, situation below the water level is completely different. The status of aquatic fungi and their relation to aquatic plants is to date not clear at all regarding difficulties of reaching them and huge value of terrestric interactions, which occupy most of the experts. All the basic plant-fungus interactions have been detected also underwater. As well as on the land, the most widespread aquatic mycorrhizal association is arbuscular mycorrhiza. On the contrary, the other well known mycorrhiza types such as orchid or ericoid mycorrhiza do not occur in the aquatic environment where their hosts are absent. On the other hand, endophytism is relatively frequent. Ascomycetous fungi with dark septate hyphae, collectively being referred to as "dark septate endophytes" (DSE), seem to be as abundant in the water as on the land. Additionally, aquatic plants are being challenged by numerous fungal parasites. AMF may play an important role in nutrient uptake of some plants from the aquatic environment. However, many species of aquatic plants are...

The Transformation Process in Algeria (1988 - 1999)
Nečekaný úspěch islamistické strany mobilizoval konzervativce a protiislamisticky zaměřené armádní velení. Zrušení voleb kvůli jednoznačnému vítězství islamistů v lednu 1992 vedlo k eliminaci islamistické i sekulární opozice. Obnovený autoritářský režim dokázal dostat pod kontrolu islamistické povstání a s pomocí MMF i kritickou ekonomickou situaci. Jisté limity má i svoboda tisku. Došlo k posílení soukromého sektoru, postavení státu je však stále výrazné a ekonomika je závislá na vývozu ropy a zemního...

Intracellular Concentration of Methotrexate in Erytrocytes and MTHFR Polymorphisms: Possible Association with Methotrexate Efficasy and Toxicity in Patients with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Tuková, Jana ; Doležalová, Pavla (advisor) ; Slanař, Ondřej (referee) ; Pavelka, Karel (referee)
Objective: To investigate whether methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) C677T and A1298C polymorphisms and erythrocyte concentration of methotrexate (EMTX) could serve as predictors of methotrexate (MTX) efficacy and toxicity in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods: Genetic analyses and EMTX and folate assessment were performed in 69 JIA patients treated with MTX and classified as full responders (n=51, disease inactivity) or nonresponders (n=18, less than 30 % improvement in paediatric ACR30 criteria while on 15 mg/m2/week parenteral MTX for at least 3 months). Results: Nonresponders were treated with the higher median MTX dose (17.2 vs 12.6 mg/m2/week, P<0.0001), and accumulated more EMTX (217 nmol/L vs 106 nmol/L, P<0.02) and erythrocyte folates (763 nmol/L vs 592 nmol/L, P=0.052) than responders. Analysis of MTHFR allele and genotype frequencies in relation to response failed to detect association. The frequency of any adverse effect was 29.4 % in responders and 33.3 % in nonresponders (P=0.77). The frequency of 677T allele was elevated in patients with adverse effects (52.4 % vs 20.9%, OR=3.88; 95% CI: 1.8-8.6; p<0.002). The probability of any adverse effect was significantly higher in patients with 677TT when compared to 677CC genotype (OR=55.5; 95-% CI: 2.9-1080;...

A work produced by an employee, upon the order, and a collective work
Konečná, Miluše ; Dobřichovský, Tomáš (referee) ; Císařová, Zuzana (advisor)
A work produced by an employee, upon the order and a collective work Shrnutí / summary This thesis deals with juridical institutes of works produced by an employee, works upon order and collective works. Such institutes are characterized by entitling other person than author to rights to the author's work. These persons contribution to creation of the work rest on a noncreative investment into the development of original work - examples of such entities are employer or order party. Czech author's law belongs to civil law system of author's rights, which recognizes the natural person that created the work as the author. However, the protection of other person's private interests besides the authors' is strongly influenced by copyright system, which is characteristic for Anglo-American legal system. This thesis handles the Czech legal institutes in detail. Since the three institutes are interconnected they are dealt with the historical and comparative perspective. Furthermore, the approach of the Czech institutes is compared to analogous legal approaches of foreign countries. Employee's work is created by an employee within the scope of employment or similar relationship. The employee is the author of the work, and both moral and economic rights are vested in the author. However, the employer executes the...

Comparison of ontogenetic and phylogenetic development of understanding of phenomenon infinity in the geometrical context

Tato kapitola mi jednak umožňuje vytypovat hlavní zdroje epistemologických překážek a dále konstruovat...

Treatment of Deep Chondral Defects in the Knee with Autologous Chondrocytes Fixed on a Scaffold Form of Hyaluronic Acid Esters (Hyalograft C) Abstract Aim of the study In the past few years we have seen further progress in the treatment of chondral defects by transplanting autologous chondrocytes. Different biomaterials are used as temporary carriers for fixation and an even distribution of chondrocytes in the defects. Since 2003 we have implemented a clinical trial for the treatment of deep chondral defects in the knee by transplanting autologous chondrocytes fixed in a scaffold from hyaluronic acid esters (Hyalograft C). This material has been evaluated in a prospective study. Material We evaluated results in 8 transplanted patients (7 males and 1 female, average age 31 years) with a minimal follow up of 9 months after surgery. Defects of an average size of 3,9 cm2 were localized on femoral condyles. Method We evaluated the functional outcomes (IKDC, K.OOS, Lysholm score) and performed MRI before and 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery. The newly formed cartilage was controlled visually (ICRS visual score) during a second-look arthroscopy at 9 to 12 months after transplantation. We compared the stiffness of the repair tissue at the site of the original defect with the surrounding cartilage using a specially...
