The modification of spasticity and functional abilities of patients with infantile cerebral palsy by selective dorsal rhisotomy
Vašíčková, Hana ; Kraus, Josef (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Selective dorsal rhizotomy is a neurosurgical procedure for treating carefully selected patients with cerebral palsy. The aims of this thesis are to assess the influence of this treatment on changes in spasticity, functional abilities, locomotion and activities of daily living of these patients and also to assess the changes in these parameters in patients who were treated using this method at the neurosurgical department in University Hospital Motol in previous years. Six patients with CP diagnosis were tested - five 6 to 21 years old boys and one 35 years old woman. Ashworth and modified Ashworth scales were used to assess spasticity, goniometry was used to measure the range of passive movements. The Barthel index and Global care impairment scale by Dressler tested activities of daily living. Penn Spasm Frequency Score and Peacock's scale of locomotion were also used. The results showed a reduction in spasticity in lower as well as upper extremities, an increased range of passive movement of lower extremities, reduction of clonus the tendon of Achilles and an improvement of speech. Decreased pain and improved ability to perform activities of daily living were noted and hygienic care of a child was made easier thanks to this treatment. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

AnotaceEN Petr Limburský: Tři kapitoly z problematiky konce eneolitu a počátku starší doby bronzové ve střední Evropě. / Three chapters from the Late Aeneolithic and the EarlyBronze Age Transition in the Central Europe/ Encompassing the inconsistence of period of the Late Aenelithic and beginnings of the Early Bronze Age that has been widely discussed in its entirety in the literature is limited on one side by the detailed analyses of archaeological materia! at the levels of regions or find collections, and by the existence of supra-regiona! models and interpretative schemes on the other. Salavová, Petra ; Žikovská, Petra (advisor) ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (referee)
11. Závěrečné shrnutí v anglickém jazyce Conclusion The topic of this degree work features copyright, which is developing very fast during the past years. In the year 2000 a new Copyright Act was enacted, which meant a necessary recodification of copyright in Czech Republic and already was amended many times. In the international copyright territory were enacted two universal contracts by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In the year 2004 Czech Republic joined the European Union, which meant a harmonization of Czech Law with Community Law. In the course of time the copyright spere is more and more well-developed, which is caused by the society evolution, new technologies and the possibilities of use of the results of the author's creative activity. A major change has been made in the contemporary legislation concerning the change from the monistic law conception to the dualistic law conception, resulting the separation of personal rights and proprietary rights. In effort to harmonize the Czech Law with the Community Law a reinforcement has been made of the legal certainty of copyright subjects. Authors are better protected and the law respects not only their interest, but also the interests of the author work's users. Resuscitation of the newborn and its subsequent treatment till the arrivel of the transport service
Tvrdíková, Barbora ; Stejskalová, Veronika (advisor) ; Marešová, Jana (referee) ; Vachková, Eva (referee)
A newborn with the disorder of early adaptation demands cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This is a very demanding and important medical output. The stabilization of physiological functions of the newborn after delivery and the subsequent transport into a specialized centre can critically influence the baby's prognosis. The goal of this work was to find out the readiness of infant departments for resuscitation, how they manage it and how they secure the newborn before the arrival of the transport service. The theoretical part of this work is dedicated to the process of cardiopulmonary resuscitation itself. In the first empirical part the questionnaires from the infant departments of the regional hospitals which belong to the perinatological centre of the University Hospital Hradec Kralove were analyzed. In the second empirical part the analysis of the data from the group of resuscitated newborns brought by the transport service between 2005 and 2007 was carried out. The aim of the empirical part was to compare the performance of resuscitation and the security of the newborn before the transport into a specialized centre. The comparison was based on the results of the questionnaires and the documentation of the transport service.

The goal of my work is to develop a financial analysis of the Trinecke iron Co. Ltd., and explore its financial health from the external point of view. The main reason for my decision to choose the company as Trinecke iron Ltd. is that the company has a strong competitive advantage in the Czech economy. In the theoretical part I will bring the wording of the calculations and procedures. The application part will be dealing with data and these calculations I've got, and also bring you the detailed descriptions. Overall, the analysis will be concerned with the six years period, from 2002 to 2007

Analysis of usury legislation
Červenková, Tereza ; Lechner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jurčík, Radek (referee)
The project analyzes current legislation on usury in the Czech Republic and the financial literacy of the adult population. On 1 Dec. 2016, an amended Act on Consumer Loans entered into force and this project examines it. The project compares Czech legislation on usury with selected European Union countries. Czech legislation is similar with German and Portugal legislation, especially in terms of civil law. The most effective legislation can be considered in Spain, which explicitly stipulates allowed interest rate limits. Based on that, Czech legislation on usury should be adjusted. The research results show a correlation between respondents' highest-achieved level of education and their financial literacy levels. The research also finds that the number of court distraints (property seizures) and the willingness to borrow money is lower among respondents with university-level education than for respondents with secondary and basic school education. When comparing our findings with research by STEM/MARK dating from 2010, it is clear that the financial literacy of the adult population in the Czech Republic has not changed significantly since that time.

Influence of H2O2 treatment on morphological and photoluminescence properties of hydrothermally grown ZnO nanorods
Yatskiv, Roman ; Grym, Jan
We report photoluminescence properties of hydrothermally grown ZnO nanorods (NRs) before and after hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) treatment. The H2O2 treatment introduces oxygen related defects and thus enhances chemisorption processes in ZnO NRs. These effects amplify interactions between the gas species and adsorbed oxygen and thus can influence sensing properties of ZnO NRs
