Žižková, Šárka ; Křesťanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
94 Abstract The purpouse of my thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the issues of copyright in architecture. I tis very complex topic and orientation in it brings many difficulties not only to public. As revealed in my work, there is very few litigation on this issue, but that doesn't mean that they doesn't exist at all. However, architects or architectural ateliers mostly aren't interested in venturing into protracted disputies and the vast majority of these disputies ends with out court settlements. This behavior is understandable, since building design represents architect's livehood, they rather abates in their opinions rather than undergoing the time and economically disadvantageous battle with the investor. My diploma thesis consists of six chapters, each of them examines architectural work from a different perspective. The purpouse of the first chapter is to clarify the concept of architecture and traditional architecture, which the Copyright Act concieves just very briefly. The second chapter analyzes the characteristics of an architectural work, including the urbanistical work. Another part focuses on legal conceptual characteristicss that work must fulfill to be under the protection of copyright law. Beside that, I describe concept of authorship, co-autorship and employee work issues....

The recent legal form of compulsory vaccination in the Czech Republic and the consequences arising from its rejection.
STRACHOŇOVÁ, Jitka
A new decree of the Ministry of Health No. 537/2006 Coll. On Immunisation against Infectious Diseases came into effect on 1st January 2007. Every individual residing in the territory of the Czech Republic is obliged to undergo a given kind of regular immunisation pursuant to Act No. 258/2000 Coll. On Public Health Protection as amended. Thus, my thesis is aimed at the current legislative arrangement of vaccination and its goals are: to find out about benefits of the amendment of this Decree in the sphere of public health protection and to map legal and health consequences of refusing regular immunisation. The goal of the thesis was met as both positive and negative aspects of the amendment of the Decree as well as legal and health consequences of refusing regular immunisation were described. In future, an open dialogue between parents and paediatricians explaining the need of vaccination as primary prevention against emergence and spread of infectious diseases should be supported

Sýkorová, Barbora ; Žikovská, Petra (referee) ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (advisor)
Unlawful Use of Copyrighted Work (and the Author's Fee) This graduation thesis is devoted to the issue of unlawful use of copyrighted work and to the author's fee. Currently the issue of unlawful use of copyrighted work as well as legal protection of that work is becoming much more interesting than approximately twenty / thirty years ago. This situation is caused by three main circumstances - the growth of piracy (copyrighted works like books, films, sound recordings, computer programmes and so on are widely used now, and in some states it is even very important business), the advent of satellite communication (increasingly entertainment and information services are more available) and the advent of the Internet (because of the worldwide linking of the millions of computers it is very easy to access to, copy and distribute copyrighted works). Thanks to that development the current society is going to resolve the question whether it is possible to maintain the established protection and the sources of renumeration for rightowners, or whether copyright will be engulfed in the ever-increasing electronic use of protected material. Having in mind this question the goal of this thesis is to map the system of possible legal means of protection against the unlawful use of copyrighted works in the Czech...

Kašková, Katarína ; Vondráčková, Pavlína (referee) ; Novotný, Petr (advisor)
70 RESUMÉ Legal Aspects of the Protection of Investments in the Czech Republic. The most important and also the most dynamic branch of the International as well as the Financial Law these days is considered protection and support of the international investments. The international protection of investments is based on the treaty basis, which eventually evokes in the effect that every single state takes over the obligations related to the international investment among each other, with the aim of securing most positive investments conditions for their own private investors situated in the foreign states. Due to the fact, that there has not been found an universal multilateral treaty in the sphere of the Investments Law, which could uniformly regulate this kind of questions, the gist of the legal regulation of protection and support of the international investments is based on the bilateral investments treaties. The whole process of conclusion of the bilateral investments treaties was started in the sixties and the seventies and continues fluently since today. In the nineties, the Czech Republic as many others states depended on the inflow of foreign capital into the country for purposes of the recovery and development takeoff of its economy. Therefore, the Czech Republic followed others states in conclusion...

Surface relief evolution in cast superalloy In738LC fatigued at room temperature
Samek, Petr ; Obrtlík, Karel (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
Low cycle fatigue is an important valving parameter of materiale which are exposed random alternate strain during their operation. The alternate strain in that material is caused by temperature fluctuations during operation and outages such as aircraft engines. Tests of low cycle fatigue were performed on samples of superalloy Inconel 738LC at stable room temperature at 23°C. The actual experiment took place at certain intervals, consisting of cycling itself, and observing changes in surface relief by light and electron microscopy. There was observed significant surface relief at an early stage of low cycle fatigue. We compared results of measurement with other different observation methods.

Bad loans' development in the Czech Republic
Bachtík, Richard ; Pečená, Magda (advisor) ; Hájek, Filip (referee)
Aim of this paper is to estimate credit losses from lending business of Czech commercial banking sector in upcoming 2 years (2010 and 2011). Uncertainty about future development of credit losses has been the main impetus for such estimation since Czech economy found itself at the bottom of business cycle in mid-2009. Hence I build a system of equations based on CreditPortfolioView which enables me to estimate distribution of credit losses by Monte Carlo and to link macroeconomic development to default rates. In addition, I justify the choice of my model when alternatives do not show up in a better light. The paper forecasts stabilization of default rates between the end of 2010 and third quarter of 2011. It warns about severe repercussions for default rates and thus losses if the economy were not able to get to positive values of changes in quarterly real GDP.
