Main Aspects of Church-State Relations in Luther and Calvin Thought
Matulová, Lucie ; Kučera, Rudolf (advisor) ; Müller, Ivan (referee)
My work is focused on a special type of relation between the Church and the State in Luther's and Calvin's thought. Man stands under a double government, spiritual and political, and these governments require to be separately considered. Thus, I consider them as two sovereign powers. They are not separate, for they cooperate. I examine the doctrine of the Church as an essential part of my work. The Church, in Luther's tradition, is a community of believers. The pure preaching of the Word of God creates the most important mark of the true Church. A teaching of justification by faith is a pillar of protestantism. A man is justified by the grace of God. He is flesh and spirit, he is "simul iustus, simul peccator." The Church, in Calvin's tradition, is considered as the pillar of truth. The visible marks of the Church are the pure preaching of the Word of God and the right administration of the sacraments. The invisible Church is created by people who belong to God and only He knows those who are his own. I attempt to demonstrate that the impact of the doctrine of predestination on life of a Christian is decisive. Belief in personal election becomes a strong motivation toward greater effort. The doctrine of predestination brings assurance that God would not allow the elect to fall. There are four offices...

Morphological characterization of monolithic columns
Širc, Jakub
1 High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is currently one of the most widely used analytical separation techniques. Although the most of applications use standard chromatographic columns packed with particles, these stationary phases has some disadvantages and limits. A promising alternative are monolithic columns. In contrast to the packed stationary phase consisting of many particles, monoliths are composed of one block of porous material. Monoliths are characteristic with communitating macropores, instead of the interparticle spaces of packed columns, which allow the flow of mobile phase carrying the analyte molecules, and small mesopores providing sufficient surface for active sites of stationary phase. The character of the porous structure of the monolith, its specific surface area, quantity, size and shape of pores significantly affect the properties of monolithic columns. The aim of this thesis is to manage the preparation of monolithic chromatographic columns by in situ polymerization within the columns and a description of factors influencing the morphology of the resulting monoliths. Second part of the work is focused on the characterization of the morphology of prepared monoliths, which is essential for the understanding of chromatographic processes that run through them. Describe the...

Ten Years of the Welsh National Assembly: Closer to the Scottish Model?
Pospíšilová, Alena ; Rovná, Lenka (advisor) ; Hubáček, Filip (referee)
Diploma thesis "Ten years of the Welsh National Assembly: closer to the Scottish model? (1999-2009)" deals with changes that took place in the last ten years in Welsh devolution settlement. The thesis works with the concepts of Scottish and Welsh models of devolution that arrouse as a consequence of assymetric devolution settlements that the Labour government established in the both regions in 1999. The assymetry derived from historical, political and practical reasons. Meanwhile the Scottish Parliament has been established as a parliamentary institution with separate legislative and executive, the Welsh Assembly took form as a elected institution with a corporative structure. At the same time, the Scottish Parliament obtained general primary legislative powers compared to the limited executive powers of the Welsh Assembly. From the beginning of its existence the Welsh Assembly seeked to change its devolution settlement to match the Scottish model of devolution. The Welsh coalition of Labour party and Liberal Democrats established the Commission on the Assembly's Powers and Electoral Arrangements under the leadership of lord Richard, which was active from 2002 to 2004. The Richard Commission recommended radical changes to the settlement in line with the Scottish model. Consequently, the British Government...

Nanofiber Membranes as Drug Carriers 5.
Beneš, Michal ; Vachek, Josef (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
M. Beneš Abstract The theoretical part of this work deals with chitosan polymer and its derivates. A polymer molecule is described in more detail, its solubility and chemical modifications are described separately. In the next part biocompatibility and biodegradability of chitosan are dealt with. Parameters of the electrospinning of chitosan end this chapter. The experimental part is first dedicated to the determination of aquosity in the samples of 3 different nanofiber membranes and to their gravimetric changes by keeping in the desiccator. The samples of membranes absorb water at the most up to 1,5% (m/m) and there is not a big difference among them. The second part quantifies changes in the composition of the saturated excipients which were used for the impregnation of the samples of nanomembranes. The highest amount of caffeine was absorbed by the membrane 3, namely in case of both saturating media. The evaluation of the amount of caffeine which the tested membranes are able to release from their surface in vitro follows. In case of the saturation of membranes by the aqueous solution of caffeine and by the caffeine suspension is the maximum of the subsequent liberation into the acceptor phase reached from the 120th minute. In case of the ethanolic and chloroform saturated solution is the maximal...

HPLC Method Development for Determination of Vitamin E in Geladrink Preparation
Švestková, Petra ; Chocholouš, Petr (referee) ; Šatínský, Dalibor (advisor)
A HPLC method was developed for the determination of content of vitamine E acetate in preparation Geladrink Forte pulverized drink - pineapple. The method is based on using Chromolith Performance RP-18e column (100 x 4.6 mm) and UV detection at 290 nm. The vitamine E acetate was separated in the presence of internal standard tocol from ballast matrix. It was used isocratic elution of the mobile phase methanol:water (98:2) at a flow-rate of 1.5 ml/min. There was temperature 30 řC during the measurement. The system enabled successful separation in time less than 5 min. The retention time of tocol was 2.337 min and the retention time of vitamine E acetate was 4.271 min. The chromatographic resolution between tocol and vitamine E acetate was 7.515. The method was applied to analysis of vitamine E acetate in preparation Chondrotin - MSM 2600. Developed concentrations of vitamine E acetate were re-count on content of vitamine E that the producer declared. Keywords: vitamine E acetate, HPLC, Geladrink, Chondrotin - MSM 2600

Tectonic evolution of the Mariánské Lázně Complex and of surrounding units
Hafoudh, Shumran ; Konopásek, Jiří (advisor) ; Franěk, Jan (referee)
Tectonic evolution of the western margin of the Bohemian Massif is the result of southeastward Devonian subduction of the Saxothuringian Ocean followed by collision of the Saxothuringian continental crust with the easterly lying Teplá-Barrandian Domain during early Carboniferous (e.g. Franke 2000). Northwestern flank of the Teplá Barrandian Domain is represented by mafic and ultramafic rocks of the Mariánské Lázně Complex usually considered as an ophiolite complex documenting the closure of the Saxothuringian Ocean (e.g. Kastl &Tonika, 1984, Beard et al., 1994). Mariánské Lázně Complex is in the NW thrust over medium-grade metabasites and metasediments of the Kladská Unit with suggested Saxothuringian affinity (Kachlík, 1993), and in the SE it is overthrust by medium- to highgrade metasediments of the Teplá Complex (Cháb & Žáček, 1994). Geochronological data show that the northwestern flank of the Teplá-Barrandian Domain was exhumed already during Upper Devonian (Dallmeyer & Urban, 1998) and suggest apparent lack of deformation and metamorphism associated with Carboniferous collision. Our study has concentrated on structural record along the profile from the Kladská Unit to the Teplá Complex in order to separate structures produced during Devonian subduction and exhumation from those developed during...

Criminal defences in Czech and Irish criminal law
Kubíčková, Tereza ; Vokoun, Rudolf (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Criminal defences in Czech and Irish criminal law This thesis deals with the analysis of individual elements of criminal defences under the Czech and Irish criminal legal statutes with respect to the conclusions, which are therefrom drawn in theory and practice. The aim of this thesis is to render an overview concerning the distinctions and similarities in understanding, importance and operating of the defences in different law systems, rather than to present an exhaustive commentary on all legal institutes which exclude illegality and as such come into mind. Regarding the fact that Czech and Irish systems of law are subsumed under different legal systems, particular institutes of criminal defences cannot be based on the same rules, principles and theoretical grounds. It shall be noted, that while Czech criminal law is mainly to be found in a single piece of legislation known as the Criminal Law Act, Irish criminal law on the other hand not only has a separate statutory legislation, but also mainly depends on common law. The subject has been processed under consideration of the present-day legal regulation, whereas particular legal institutes are structured in compliance with the structure of the Czech Criminal Law Act. The topics of origin and development of defences has intentionally not been...
