The Attitudes of Younger Pupilage Children to Health Nourishment and Vending Machines at Elementary Schools

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out what attitudes 8 up to 9-year old - children have to health nourishment taking into consideration family habits, leisure time activities etc. The aim was also to find out whether they have a significant interest in buying various foods from vending machines. The thesis consists of a theoretical, practical and research part. The observed group is comprised of pupils attending the third class at 11 elementary schools in Brno. Altogether 261 respondents took part in the research, which makes 9% out of the total number of children (2,835) attending the third classes at elementary schools in Brno. The research was carried out from December 2009 till the end of February 2010. Headmasters, teachers of the selected schools as well as respondents' parents took an active part in the realization of the research. In total, 1,800 questionnaires with 15 questions in each of them on average were available for an analysis. Large number of acquired datas enabled elaboration of two separate studies. One study is focused on undifferentiated research and the other study compares differences between girls and boys. Bohumil Snizek´s combat mission. From the Protectorate and back to the Czechoslovakia (5th May 1942 - 20th May 1945)

In my thesis I deal with the personality and life of Bohumil Snížek. He was one of those who did not reconcile themselves to the fascist Germany occupation of Czechoslovakia. Bohumil Snížek decided to take part actively in the restoration of his motherland. The circumstances compelled him to undertake a long journey through all Europe whose final destination was Great Britain. After a dramatic stay in Switzerland at Dr. Kopecky´s place and imprisonment in the concentration camp Miranda de Ebro he really managed to achieve his final destination via Gibraltar. It took him nearly one and half years. He joined there the newly being born Czechoslovak Foreign Army. He went to the Czechoslovak brigade which was trained for the fight with the enemy from its very establishment. Yet, the Czechoslovak brigade was not provided with the possibility of at least a little intervention in fighting for the liberation of Europe. Bohumil Snížek was detached to Europe by the end of the September 1944 together with the 2nd Armoured Regiment Czechoslovak Brigade. It was the time of the siege of a French port Dunkerque which was considered the battlefield of the second rank by the Czech soldiers. There was an attack on 28th October 1944 planned for the anniversary of the establishment of Czechoslovakia which became the greatest success of the Czech Army in combat. Bohumil Snížek also took part in this battle and was awarded the Czechoslovak Military Cross for his personal bravery. The Czechoslovaks would not mind that they did not manifest themselves in combat after this great success anymore but what they did mind was to connive helplessly at the events happening in Prag in May 1945. Along with the others, Bohumil Snížek came to the liberated Czechoslovakia in the middle of May 1945. His postwar destiny was quite similar to the destiny of the rest of "those from the West". The regime condemned him "only" to be rolled over by the waters of oblivion. Essentially, only his withdrawal from the Army and departure for the West borderland might have rescued him from even severer sanctions. Bohumil Snížek died of the sequel of injuries from Dunkerque in Aš 1959.

Hlavní náplní této práce jsou 3 archivní pomůcky - inventáře vytvořené ke třem fondům obecní samosprávy, je~ž jsou uloženy ve Státním okresním archivu v Jablonci nad Nisou. Jedná se o Archiv města Šumburk nad Desnou, Archiv města Tanvald a Archiv obce Velké Hamry. Tyto tři fondy se nacházely v nedůstojném stavu. U všech sice již v minulosti proběhlo zpracování i inventarizace, z důvodu dalších nových přírůstků však původní inventáře zastaraly a nezachycovaly tak skutečný fyzický stav. Rovněž vlivem vývoje archivní teorie neodpovídaly moderním archivním požadavkům. Proto byla jejich reinventarizace přímo žádoucí. Počátky této práce spadají již do února 2004, kdy jsem absolvoval povinou archivní praxi v SOkA Jablonec nad Nisou. Během ní mi byla nabídnuta možnost reinventarizace AO Velké Hamry. Protože mám ke zdejšímu regionu a zejména k této obci bližší vztah, nijak jsem neváhal a příležitost využil. Fond jsem nově uspořádal a vytvořil nový inventář, který již prošel schvalovacím řízením a je platnou archivní pomůckou evidovanou na odboru archivní správy (Číslo listu NAD 0040, evidenční číslo pomůcky 535).

Loyal Guard in years 1946 to 1948, a weekly magazine of the Association of the Czechs from Volhynia

This disertation called "Loyal Guard in years 1946 to 1948, a weekly magazine of the Association of the Czechs from Volhynia" describes the development of the interest magazine of the Czechs from Volhynia in its first three years. The paper shortly portrays the history of the Czech from Volhynia - departure from the czech country, their lives in Volhynian part of the Ukraine a postwar re-emigration to the Czechoslovakia. Main part of the disertation centers on establishing nonpolitical and nonparty organisation called the Association of the Czech from Volhynia and its official magazine as a reaction to the topical problems of the Czechs who returned after the World War Two. It focuses on the content of the magazine, the profile of its regular sections, the most important subjects it printed (re-emigration, settlement a adaptation) and major anniversaries of the Czech from Volhynia (the burn-out of Český Malín, the battle of Dukla). The paper emphasized its irreplaceable part as a source of important news in the lives of the Czechs From Volhynia. It follows the how Loyal Guard informed on the subject of the oncoming eletions in 1948 and the stand it took after the events in February 1948. Higher education in Austria: the rule of law , case studies and implications for Czech Republic

In 2015, Wien Wirtschafsuniversität ranked among economic universities regularly disclosed on the Financial Times in position number 42. The University of Economics last three years, around 80th place. Why is this so? In the context of this thesis is to analyze not only the legal prerequisites for successful graduates of the master's program Finance and Accounting, but also deals with the practical use of knowledge on the labor market resp. As well as the current unemployment of graduates in what fields they can work, etc. In this work also deals with the human capital theory, which explores the motives for higher education. They are given different conditions during their studies at WU and Economics, as well as development starting salary after graduation. The last chapter contains examples that would be good to apply in the Czech higher education system. The question remains, why WU placed on better positions than ALL? According to the author's investment in science and research in Austria - currently invest nearly 2% of GDP, as well as 100-year-old development WU, when no interruption to develop economic theory and their application in practice, as well as linking university knowledge with practice.

Mark of origin Product and Consumer Protection

1. The aim of the work is the analysis of consumer protection in the food industry with a focus on the new rules of product labelling according to the new law on food labelling. Work involves evaluation of current laws and organizations which are relevant to the product labelling. In case of an inconsistency, a solution is proposed which leads to improvement and simplification of the customer orientation when buying goods. 2. Part of the study is a further explanation of basic concepts, rights and obligations under the new legislation and the evaluation of these new provisions from the consumer's point of view. At the same time examples will be given when there is a violation of these rules. 3. The subject of the study is mainly to analyse the current problems relating to the product labelling in order to identify the origin and contents of the product following the new legislation. There will also be shown examples of unfair competition as part of the study. 4. The study also aims to identify what can the customer can demand from the food labelling and to inform about the organizations used for consumer protection.

The old house - Ruin or Home?

The main topic of this diploma thesis is the reconstruction of an old house. This is concepted in the perspective of "material culture studies", where the material object (a house) works as a starting point for the understanding of the human values, relationships, feelings and attitudes. These characteristics were studied in the qualitative research (the fieldwork), in the area near Prague. The dynamics of this area corresponds to the context of my work which is based on the background of the relationship between "the Old and/ versus the New" and the relationship between "Town and/versus Country". The work starts with the theoretical part, which is orientated on the actual phenomenons of "suburbanization" and "dream about the family house" and on the contrast of an old and a new house. Then a study of the "ruin" (and its social signals and contexts) follows. The "core" of the work can be found in the practical part. It describes the stories of the concrete reconstructions and with the analyses of the meanings that have emerged on the surface. We observe a specific "transformation of the ruin in the home", a mutual "taming" between the man and the old house and the inner dynamics of this process. The main aim of the work is to develop recommendations for particular Czech company in the field of educational programs for staff, implementation of which implies the subsequent increase of motivation and performance of employees.

Repositioning of Birell brand as a tool for potential growth and entry to other categories

Positioning is a key element of brand's strategic management and it is often a driver for success on given market. In every brand's life cycle there can be a moment, where current positioning simply doesn't work anymore, so there is need to reposition the brand to modify the current one or develop a new one. The main goal of this master thesis is to give readers full detail of the whole process of repositioning and to create ideal scenario for this process in FMCG market. I describe all most important parts of the brand and its strategic management related to positioning in the theoretical part. In the practical part I use a method of case study of Birell brand to describe real example of repositioning. This case study also includes reasons and consequences of the repositioning. In conclusion of the thesis, there is compiled ideal scenario of the whole process, that can serve as a basis for further research or as a instruction for future projects.
