The nurses motivation to exercise of a profession in the Home Care Agency
URBANOVÁ, Eva
Home care agencies provide comprehensive health and care services for individuals of all ages, chronically ill and those dying in their natural home environment or in families by their close relatives. A general practitioner indicates home care according to the current health status of the client. However, human performance is not given without reason. The need to be useful is deeply embedded in every man in his personality. The most important factor that determines the behavior of each individual is a situation in which we occur at the moment. The motivation is therefore change over the time and due to different circumstances (Šamánková, 2006; Cejthamr a Dědina, 2010). The aim of the research was to identify the motivating factors of nurses working in home care agencies, related to the occupational choice and profession. The following objectives were established on based of this research project. The form of qualitative research was chosen for elaboration of the subject of the bachelor?s thesis. The technique of depth interview by method of questioning was used to obtain the information. The acquired data were then analyzed using open coding method. The research sample was consisted of 6 nurses, who work in selected agencies operating in southern Bohemia, providing professional nursing care to clients in their natural environment. Five categories were identified as a result of the method of open coding. The first category reveals aspects that influenced nurses in choosing of a medical profession. The sisters were really influenced during choosing their profession by the experience of adverse health condition from the circle of loved ones or they felt in themselves the need to help and care for the sick persons. The nurses, when they chose their carrier in the agency home care, were affected mainly by social nature reasons, that are identify in the second category. The nurses after returning from maternity leave decide mostly for a job in the agency, because they prefer the absence of the shift work. Another reason is an unusual and interesting working environment, opportunities that this job offers to them. The third category describes the motivational factors that give nurses especially diversity and freedom in their working environment, which offers them the option of independence, self-fulfillment, fulfillment of the objectives and assumptions. The nurses considered to be very important a recognition of the client and his family, but also from the employer?s side. They feel the satisfaction of their work and also of the possibility to be in contact with people. An important role also takes a working team, which they describe as an integral part of their work performance. The fourth category reveals demotivating factors that nurses? experience in their work. These include in particular the lack of recognition and interest from employers, low salaries, communication barriers and inefficient cooperation among nursing team, labor shortages and uncertainty. The last fifth category is characterized especially by personal traits, which the nurses present. Behavior to which unanimity belongs interested in the client and his health, satisfaction and psychological well-being can be described by concepts pro-social behavior, empathy, responsibility, independence and consistency. The above specified categories established a process of interaction of these groups that interact among themselves in a certain way. The practical outcome of this bachelor?s thesis is a framework of recommendations designated for head of the management of home care agencies, concerning the motivation of employees.

LONGÍNOVÁ, Ilona
Home and outpatient nursing care about children suffering cystic fibrosis Cystic fibrosis is a serious autosomally recessive disease in European population. The disease affects lungs and the digestive system. Complex medical procedures have started to develop recently which improve the prognosis. Surrounding factors are also very important age, infection, nutrition, quality of medical and nursing care and above all, quality of home nursing care. CF is treatable today, nevertheless even with maximum care, using all available methods and processes, which modern medicine offers, it is unfortunately not curable. The task for modern medicine is mainly to reduce problems caused by this disease and to prevent worsening the problems. Care about breathing tubes is very important, as well as good nutrition, repression of infection and inflammation and treating complications. Nursing care about a child suffering cystic fibrosis is a topic including many problems it includes medicine, mental and social aspects. Parents and a team of specialists from an ambulance of cystic fibrosis are very important and their role of taking care about a diseased child is irreplaceable. The specialists, using their professional knowledge, help the parents to take care about the child well and at the same time react positively to the child´s needs. Their role of educating the parents and whole family is also irreplaceable. The mother or parents need someone to demonstrate specialized care of the child and to be able to try it themselves. They need support. In case the mother or parents and medical staff manage to cooperate well, we can reach requested results and satisfaction can be found on both sides.

Jarolímková, Adéla ; Papík, Richard (advisor) ; Vlasák, Rudolf (referee) ; Špála, Milan (referee)
There were huge changes in spreading and use of scientific medical information in last fifteen years due to development of new information and communication technologies and changes in medicine as well. The research described in this thesis adresses possible changes in information behaviour of physicians and other healthcare workers both abroad and in the Czech Republic. Foreign studies were reviewed and summarized. A survey method was used for the Czech research, the survey was spread with the help of medical libraries and information centers both in print and online version. 228 valid answers were collected. Several factors were supposed to influence information behaviour (age, sex, affiliation, healthcare occupation, job description), but only the influence of affiliation and occupation was confirmed. There were significant differences between information behaviour of physicians and nurses and between research workers and hospital employees. It can be said that information behaviour of healthcare workers is influenced by the character of their occupation, that entails responsibility for life and that demands both a lot of information and lifelong education. On the other hand the high workload does not offer enough time to saturate information needs. Emphasis is placed on reliability of resources, but...

Issues associated with hospitalization of children with parents staying with them
ŽÁKOVÁ, Lucie
I chose the topic of my thesis-the problems of child´s hospitalization with parents at children´s ward, because ill children and in hospital should not stay alone. The care should be focused on their psychic and also on their parents who are afraid and worried about their child. In the theoretical part of my work the branch paediatrics is mentioned first, followed partly by history of children medicine and nursing. Contemporary system of children´s care is described and developmental periods of children are mentioned in short. Then concepts like health, illness, coping with illness in different age periods continue. Further chapters are devoted to the family of ill child, preparation for hospitalization and nursing process in child at the ward. Practical part is focused on parent´s and nurses´ opinion on the problems, their opinions whether they prefer hospitalization together with parent or just short-time visits of a child who is hospitalized. The data were investigated with the help of two kinds of questionnaires. The first one was established for nurses working at the ward, the other one was for parents or company of hospitalized children. It was found out that Hypothesis I:{\crqq}Parents prefer hospitalization with the child{\crqq} was confirmed. But Hypothesis II:``Nurses prefer in child´s hospitalization just short visits of parents{\crqq} was not confirmed because nurses prefer common hospitalization of parents and their children to short-time visits. The results of this thesis can be used both by children stations and other people who are interested in the problems.
