Development of the Czech pension system after 1989 and its future direction
Langrová, Hana ; Krebs, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Brabec, Petr (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is an analysis of the development of the pension system in the Czech Republic since 1989. The emphasis is placed on reform provisions and on their impact on public budgets. Future direction is discussed next. The demographic development raises concerns about the financial sustainability of pension systems. The changes in the structure of the system were made after several years of discussions and a number of parametric adjustments. The question of sustainability is not closed yet. Recent changes are canceled and the system returned to the previous state. The reason was a lack of political and general agreement about this type of reform. The theoretical part deals with the definition of public budgets with a focus on social security. The importance and the function of pension systems are characterized in the next section. Pension systems are classified by the operator, by the method of calculating pension benefits and by the type of funding. Each pension system is based on tradition and is influenced by the development of society in the political, economic and social fields. In the practical part is performed the analysis of the pension system structured according to the periods. The impact of the reform provisions is illustrated on the state of public budgets. The thesis concludes that the initial efforts to change the system fundamentally will be replaced by attempts to implement minor adjustments. In the case of structural reform in the future it could be considered the application of modern pension theory, which recommends Pan-European pension system.

Genetická a morfologická variabilita skupiny \kur{Melampyrum nemorosum}
DRAHNÍK, Petr
Melampyrum nemorosum agg. is very complicated group of hemiparasitic plants. According to the traditional concept, 15 species is distinguished. Recent molecular analyses show a need of critical taxonomic revision of group and a potential importance of ancient hybridization. Analysis of 3 regions of cpDNA (trnTUGU-trnLUAA, psbA-trnHGUG, rpl32-trnLUAG) and 2 regions of nuclear DNA (Agt1 and At103) reveals well supported lineage with limited geographical distribution. Morphology and genome size of genetically supported lineages were compared.

After a brief explanation of the structure of Descartes' system and of the basic philosophical terms used by Descartes in his works, the fundamental role of arguments for the God's existence in developing of Descartes' system is described. This introduction makes the reader familiar with the subject of the present work; the individual versions of Descartes' arguments are presented in a concise form. Then the Priniciples' version of the arguments is shown in comparison with other versions, first of all, with that ones from Meditations. The ontological argument is attended and it's simplicity is noted, particularly in Principles. It is shown a close connection between Descartes and the scholastic tradition consisting in Descartes's using and developing of a unique, sophisticated solution of the traditional problem of relation between essence and existence of finite beings (the theory of rational distinction), extended by Descartes to the nonfinite substance as well. The effectiveness of this version of the ontological argument makes it, at least partly, resistant to a whole set of the most common objections including the...

Vrbková, Jana ; Krejcar, Robert (referee) ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the approach chosen newspapers have employed when treating the topic of death of Soviet leader J. V. Stalin on 5th March 1953. The period of time the paper covers, 15th February-16th March, also enables to compare it with the way the chosen newspapers have informed about Stalin in the few remaining days of his life. The paper focuses mainly on the manifestation of Stalins personality cult in the newspaper articles and the cults influence on the presentation of the chosen events. The main goal is to determine whether the presentation of Stalins death as well as of Stalin himself differed between nationwide and regional press as well as between newspapers focusing on mainly adult and young readers. Pavlíček, Tomáš ; Galandauer, Jan (referee) ; Velek, Luboš (advisor)
The author of this paper researches a subject new to Czech historiography - that of Czech life peers in the Austrian parliament between 1879 - 1918. He attempts to do it not only on the level of archive research, but also parliamentarism (the idea, foundation and operation of the House of Peers), political strategies (nominating candidates for peers), social stratification (social classes represented), social promotion (acquiring symbolic capital), political culture (perception of politics and the position of the peers by themselves and the society), and methodology. The author asks the question of what approach to choose for the research of the peers' lifestyle and their parliamentary identities. The latter differed from the political thinking and political behaviour of the members of the lower house in the following respects: less active up to completely uninvolved parliamentary career, apolitical activity in one's own occupation, office and one's own nation, appreciation of the individual's career and his merits to the society by being awarded an order, becoming a nobleman, and gaining political power in the form of the peer's prestige. Attention is drawn to the introduction of the general, equal and direct voting rights in Cisleithania in 1906, which remarkably increased the House of Peers' political...
