Crop yield estimation in the field level using vegetation indicies
Jurečka, František ; Hlavinka, Petr ; Lukas, Vojtěch ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Žalud, Zdeněk
Remote sensing can be very useful tool for agriculture management. In this study, remote sensing methods were applied for yield estimation in the field level. There were compared remote sensing data together with yield data obtained from the field. The study area is located in Polkovice in Olomoucký region and a crop planted there in the year 2016 was spring barley as one of most important crops grown in the region. The study area in Polkovice is located at lower elevations with intensive crop production and is climatologically warmer and drier than other areas of the Czech Republic. Year 2016 was the first year when the harvest device has been used for yield analysis in this study area. The output of this method is the yield map displaying the amount of crop harvested in the particular place in the field. The yield data from the field were then compared with remote sensing data in the form of vegetation indices. Two of them were used for comparison – Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and a two-band Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI2). These indices have been often used for yield estimation in different studies but mostly in larger scales. This study investigates use of NDVI and EVI2 at more detailed scale while using various remote sensing methods. Comparisons show that remote sensing data can provide accurate estimation and can be used for yield forecasting or supplement traditional ways of yield estimation. Results of the study show that yield-index correlations are stronger for satellite data than for the drone data. NDVI showed slightly stronger correlations than EVI2. Strongest correlations between vegetation indices and yields were found for NDVI from Sentinel 2.

The Overture to the First Version of the Opera King and Charcoal Burner
Myslivcová, Eva
The issue of different versions of works of music is one that is discussed in the case of Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), and in a certain sense it is connected with the theme "old and new", when an older, earlier, or first version becomes the basis for a newer one. This text focuses on a specific example of different versions, that of the overture to the first setting of Dvořák's opera King and Charcoal Burner from the year 1871. An overture which, as an integral part of the opera, was based on the musical material contained in the work, which eventually was never performed. And at the same time an overture that was the only part of this opera to "survive", was later transformed by the composer himself to a concert overture and thus became an independent work, while the opera's libretto was set to new music. This is in a nutshell the rather complicated genesis of the opera King and Charcoal Burner, during which the Concert Overture in F Major took shape as a new composition, created from the musical material of an old one.

Legislation and implementation of distraint procedures in Czech Republic
Holzknechtová, Denisa ; Hájková, Ivana (advisor) ; Zdeněk, Zdeněk (referee)
The Masters thesis is titled Legislation and implementation of distraint procedures in Czech Republic. The theoretical part explains the concepts that relate to issues including specifics of a bailiffs office and the Czech Republics Chamber of Bailiffs. The process of distraint from the beginning until the seizure and termination is then fully depicted. Description of methods by which such distraints may be carried out, including the costs and fees of the bailiff are also covered. In the practical part are evaluated statistically the number ordered and completed foreclosures in the 2010-2015 period, including influences on her work immediately. The practical part of thesis contains statistically evaluated numbers of ordered and completed constraints during the years from 2010 to 2015, inlcuding influences that they may correlate with. Subsequently, an analysis of two homogeneous regions was carried in the sense that unemployment rate, criminal activity and social benefit payments are often at the beginning of the indebtedness and the consequent execution order. The practical part ends with an evaluated existing legislation, including its amendments and practical examples that are currently becoming a tradition.

Analysis of selected demographic and economical time series
Rysová, Pavlína ; Šimpach, Ondřej (advisor) ; Šimková, Martina (referee)
Standard of living in a country is given by a situation of the national economy. High life expectancy, low infant mortality or low birthrate is associated with a good standard of living. The objective of this thesis is to analyze relations between demographic and economical time series. The time series are shown graphically and described. A method of correlation analysis is used for reaching the objective. The expectations about dependences between the selected indicators are tested. With the aid of this method, sense, power and direction of the dependence are evaluated. In this thesis there is for example confirmed a direct linear dependence between general government expenditure on health and life expectancy, which is known from the literature. Other expectations are selected randomly and it found a direct linear dependence between real GDP, number of immigrants and emigrants, for instance. This thesis explains the causes and the consequences of the development of some demographic and economical quantities.

Patient's compliance of dietary therapy in metabolic disease
Potočková, Jana ; Anděl, Michal (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Pavel (referee)
The goal of my bacalaureat thesis is an assessment of compliance of the patients with selected metabolic disorders treated by the diet. As an example of these disease most common civiliza- tion diseases as a diabetes mellitus, several types of hyperlipoproteinaemias and obesity were selected Treatment of these disorders is based mostly on the whole life regimen of the diet and life organization. Well accepted compliance is the basis for successful treatment and clinical compensation of mentioned diseases. The aim of my work was a proving of seven working hypotheses about compliance, attitude and sense to dietotherapy and questions determinated the influence to compliance assess- ment. Five hypotheses were confirmed and two ones refused. 128 respondents was included in the research group, included 40 patients with diabetes or obesity in the group with intensive intervention program, random selected group was consis- ted from 88 patients diabetes mellitus, hyperlipoproteinemias or obesity. The questionnaire was completed anonymously and computer program was used for statistical analysis and results demonstrated in tables and figures The positive changes of dietary regimen during the course of intensive intervention program were proved. Positive correlation between...

Makroekonomické šoky v úvěrových a hospodářských cyklech zemí EU
Dvořák, Milan
The theoretical part includes access to economic and credit cycles in the context of economic theories. In the empirical part of the thesis examined the tightness of economic and credit cycles in individual countries of the European Union through the rolling correlations. For implementation of economic policy, it is important to know the direction of the cycles. Causality of cycles in Granger sense is determined by Granger exogeneity.

Individual differences in maternal behavior (maternal style) of mammals
Leszkowová, Iva ; Špinka, Marek (advisor) ; Polák, Jakub (referee)
The expression "maternal style" in the wider sense serves to describe the interspecies interindividual and intraindividual, variability in the maternal care. In the narrow sense it is used only to designate permanent variability in the maternal behaviour among different mothers of the same species. The concept of the maternal style is based on a well-documented fact, that individual parts of maternal behaviour correlate with one another and this mutual bond enables to describe the varied repertoire of the mothers' behaviour by a few dimensions, such as e.g. protectiveness, restrictive, rejection and laissez-faire. Maternal style of primates was described in a wide range (e.g. Berman, 1990; Fairbanks, 1996). Up to today the existence of maternal style has been confirmed also with some rodents (guinea-pig: Albers, 1999; mouse: Benus a Rondigs, 1996), domestic animals (pig: e.g. Špinka et al., 2000; sheep: Dwyer a Lawrence, 2010; goat: O'Brien, 1984) and predators (dog: Wilsson, 1984). KEYWORDS : Maternal style, Maternal behavior, Individual differences, Parent-offspring conflict, Protectiveness, Rejection

Flexible life insurance
Skořepová, Kateřina ; Bílková, Diana (advisor) ; Plísková, Michaela (referee)
Diploma thesis on Flexible life insurance should refer to life insurance products currently offered on the Czech financial market. People have a choice of several types of life insurance and for the layman it is difficult to make sense terms associated with insurance and also the names of individual insurance. The publication of which is drawn in this work, indicate what life insurance products exists, however, in practice, these products are often combined and modified. Thesis shows the products offered in the Czech Republic and focuses on the calculation of premium for the insured groups. Amount of premium is influenced by several parameters that insurers, before insurance contract must take into a consideration. Effect on insurance premiums is not only age and insurance period, but also if insured person is a smoker, if he does some sports or if his job belongs to the risky job. Calculations performed in thesis focus on finding correlation between the amount of insurance and individual factors. There were used methods of correlation and regression and analysis of variance. It was found that the impact on premium has age and insurance period, then health and class of risk. Currently factor sex has not and influence on premium.

Determinanty přímých čínských investic do zemí střední a východní Evropy
Belvončíková, Barbora ; Janíčko, Martin (advisor) ; Rod, Aleš (referee)
Chinese outward direct investment is surging and is unique in the sense that its development is much faster than of any other developing country. This thesis investigates the determinants of Chinese outward direct investment (ODI) in eight countries of Central and Eastern Europe throughout the years 2003-2014. Using panel data analysis, the regression model incorporates both traditional macroeconomic variables as well as institutional variables, testing thereby what are Chinese ODI driven by in those post-communist countries. The quality of institutional framework is represented by EBRD indicators, which seem to be more suitable for transition economies. Findings suggest that Chinese MNEs do not access Central and Eastern European countries primarily for market-seeking reasons, however the fact of being a member of the EU boosts Chinese ODI, since entering a member state market grants at the same time access to the whole EU common market and this fact is decisive for China. Also, R&D capacities play an important role in attracting Chinese ODI. On the other hand, Chinese ODI seem not to be associated with a good institutional environment of a host country, only large-scale privatization index is found significant and positively correlated with Chinese ODI inflow. Therefore, the findings of this thesis lead to the conclusion that macroeconomic factors are still more influential than the institutional ones when studying Chinese outward direct investment in Central and Eastern Europe.

Remote sensing can be very useful tool for drought monitoring, providing valuable information about yield-limiting moisture conditions and crop response under current climate conditions. In this study the Atmosphere-land Exchange Inverse (ALEXI) model was used. The ALEXI model uses the morning surface temperature (LST) rise and provides information on the surface moisture status. In this paper correlations between yields and satellite indicators of crop water use or evapotranspiration (ET) were studied for the period 2002-2014. Correlations were studied for winter wheat at district scale in Vysocina, Jihomoravsky and Olomoucky regions since winter wheat is one of the traditional and most important crops grown in these regions. The Evaporative Stress Index (ESI) was used for these correlations as an ET-based index. Time series of Pearson correlation coefficient (r) computed between ESI and winter wheat yields at district scale were analysed. Strongest correlations are associated with districts within the Southern Moravian lowlands in Jihomoravsky and Olomoucky region, where frequency of occurrence of severe drought was highest over the period of record. Severe drought resulted in significant yield impacts, particularly in years 2003 and 2012. Correlations tend to be lower over the highlands districts of Vysocina and surroundings. In these districts, yields are more temperature than moisture limited and were more stable over the period of record.
