Injection-induced seismicity: statistic and energetic analysis
Vlček, Josef ; Fischer, Tomáš (advisor) ; Horálek, Josef (referee)
Fluid injection into the rock formations represents a valuable analog to study the role of high-pressurized fluids in the seismogenic process. It is carried out in depths up to first thousands of meters in order to increase the permeability of rock formation for better exploitation of hydrocarbons and geothermal energy. The increased fluid pressure results in decrease of the strength of fractures and faults which causes their brittle failure that is observed in the form of microearthquakes and enables imaging of the stimulated rock volume. Besides this positive role, seismicity sometimes increases to the level that can be felt by the population, which can cause concerns about the seismic risk of these industrial operations. Thus, one of the main interests focused by recent studies deals with the maximum earthquake that can be triggered by hydraulic stimulations. I introduce the ratio between the hydraulic energy and released seismic energy, the seismic efficiency of injection, to assess the effect of fluid injection to the seismicity. This parameter is applied to data from two geothermal reservoirs (Gross Schönebeck and Soultz-sous-Forets) and one gas reservoirs (East Texas). We find that for different data sets, the seismic efficiency encompasses a broad range of magnitudes; from about 10-6 to...

Deformation of tool steels after quenching in vacuum furnaces
Abu Khait, Yosef ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Pacal, Bohumil (advisor)
In this thesis, the deformation stages, which take place in tool steels after quenching in vacuum furnaces, were studied. This study was focused on the heating and cooling conditions during this type of quenching. In the experimental part, the deformation changes in particular samples made of tool steel after vacuum quenching were analyzed. Minor changes in the volume of samples at higher quenching temperatures compared to lower temperatures were observed.

Degradation of Particulate Systems from Aliphatic Hydroxyacids Polyesters
Pecuchová, Vladimíra ; Dittrich, Milan (advisor) ; Šnejdrová, Eva (referee)
The influence of the size of pieces and particles prepared from poly(lactide-co-glycolide) on the oscillation swelling and deswelling behavior in the aqueous and buffer medium was studied. In this work was revealed ad specified size range of polyester pieces in which the oscillation time-course of the swelling occurs. The results of experiments suggest the influence of temperature and medium composition on this range of maximal demonstration of this oscillation time-course of volume changes is influenced by temperature and medium composition. Swelling in the buffer solution with neutral pH value is more extensive as in the purified water. Erosion is a characteristics of the polymers degradation, which is of substantially lower responsivity to the changes of medium parameters. Its progress is influenced by the polymeric pieces size and shape, or aggregate state of material. The erosion time of the small particles of polymer made from aliphatic oligoester of declared parameters prolongs for weeks, process duration of the small particles lasts longer as in larger pieces.

The influence of water activity on respiration behaviour of women after breast ablation
Černá, Tereza ; Čechovská, Irena (advisor) ; Břečková, Gabriela (referee)
Title: The influence of water activity on respiration behaviour of women after breast ablation. Aim: We aim to design and verify a programme of water exercises for women after breast ablation which would have a positive influence on their health. In our pedagogical experiment we want to discover the effect of breathing exercises in water environment on respiration capacity and strength of respiration muscles (inspiration and expiration muscles). Methods: Sociological research was used in order to find suitable probands. The examination of functions of respiration muscles was used in order to evaluate strength of respiration muscles. We measured strength of respiration muscles (inspiration PI max and expiration muscles PE max). Spirometry testing, volume-time curve and a flow-volume loop, set values for inspiration (VCinsp) and expiration (VCexp). The examination was carried out in Krajska zdravotni a.s, Usti nad Labem at the department of Functional Diagnostic. Results were evaluated by statistic program STATIS TICA. We used describing statistics, categorization, data analysis, t-tests, Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney testing. Conclusion: Water activity related to breast exercises had a positive influence on values of PI max, VC insp a VC exp which demonstrate results of Wilcoxon test. Some differences...

True Money Supply
Dufek, Michal ; Písař, Pavel (advisor) ; Czesaný, Slavoj (referee)
This thesis deals with the real money supply (True Money Supply). Monetary aggregates (M1, M2, M3) used in mainstream economics is that, in many respects inaccurate and therefore unsuitable. TMS monetary aggregates are preferable aggregates M1, M2, M3, because it counted some of the cash items twice, unlike M1, M2, M3, and therefore more accurately reflects the evolution in monetary economics. The aim of this work is based on established theory of money, count the real money supply (TMS1, TMS2) and investigate its characteristics and relationship with respect to selected economic indicators, which are: the monetary aggregate M2, the consumer price index (CPI), industrial producer price index (PPI), the discount rate, two-week repo rate, index of the Prague Stock Exchange (PX), the total volume of loans. Confrontation between TMS1 and TMS2 with selected economic indicators, can lead to a more accurate understanding of the causes of changes in the economy over the economic cycle. The theoretical part is to define the concept of money, creation, development, development of the banking system; commodity mode and paper (FIAT) money. The analytical part will try to uncover hidden phenomena and causal relationships between the real money supply and the development of the economy. The work is based on the methodology of the Austrian School of Economics, whose praxeologie seems to me the most because of its clarity and consistency. Without this theory, we could not understand the question: What else is money and what is not?

Estimate of Capital Services in the Czech Republic
Hudrlíková, Lenka ; Fischer, Jakub (advisor) ; Ondruš, Vítězslav (referee)
This diploma paper discusses the importance of implementation of capital into the system national accounts. The purpose of this work is an estimation of capital services for real data of the Czech Republic. Conducted its own calculation is first such comprehensive estimate of the capital services, which was made. The diploma paper is divided into three parts. In the first part there is a explaination of concept of capital services and the methods of estimation and possible ways of calculating the necessary data. In the second part there is already done my own calculations of estimate of capital services used the methodology recommended by the OECD, but subject to certain adjustments, which are better suited to national conditions. Due to the volume of data all the calculations are listed in the Annex. In the text work is illustrative example of one sector of economic activity and the economy as a whole. The last section deals with experimental estimates of impact of capital services on macroeconomic aggregates, particularly gross domestic product. Other possibilities obtained an estimate of capital services, it is possible to estimate multi-factor productivity. Capital services can be used to express the input of capital.

K některým otázkám politické ekonomie přímých zahraničních investic
Evan, Tomáš ; Kalínská, Emílie (advisor) ; Jeníček, Vladimír (referee) ; Klosová, Anna (referee) ; Tlapa, Martin (referee)
There are three different traditions in theory of multinational corporations. The most relevant Liberalism opposes Marxism in relations between developing states and multinational corporations. However, the majority of multinational corporations as well as the majority of foreign direct investments comes from developed countries. In these countries, existing mercantilist advices come from the concept of national interest, which opposes the liberal tradition. According to this concept, the country tries to strengthen its national power by increasing the inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI), which is supposed to improve the country?s economical situation. The means to achieve this are negotiations with multinational corporations and incentives to attract them. The consequence of this process is the increase of the FDI flow and the relative fall of international trade volume. This implies that in the political realm the multinational corporations influence gets stronger compared to the state influence. From an economical standpoint, the non-liberal policies create quicker assimilation of modern technology, but lead to higher unemployment and greater differences between local and global firms. Paradoxically, we can conclude that, the globally influential firms take their strength from the mercantilist approach, traditionally supported and enforced by governments in general.

Analysis of the thermal load of the workpiece during the cutting grinding of high-strength bearing rings
Felgentreu, Sven ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
