The 20th century muralism in Mexico
Binková, Petra ; Opatrný, Josef (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Pavel (referee)
As I was trying to suggest in this text, the cultural value of mural production is political in the sense that it responds to interests and motives of the social world and intends to transform the space which it occupies. When doing so, such visual works orient itself toward the construction of its own public. The mural process that aspires to create mural art must therefore be multiple and combined. A similar thought has been pointed out by Bruce Campbell his book Mexican Murals in Times of Crisis: [Mural practice must be] making its commitments and negotiating compromises within the balance of social forces; attempting to fix in some manner the social context in which it takes place; hailing a more or less broad sector of the social milieu; and seeking out some meaningful figure with an eye toward symbolic consensus, or "no man's land" capable of negotiating through perspectival conflicts over the space of the work.,,161 Only by attention to the practical components of muralism does it become possible to recognize a contextual variety of mural work. In fact, these are nothing more than distinct modes of formal compromise between the production of the mural image and its public. An alternative delineation of contemporary muralism is thus at the same time a delineation of practical accomplishments...

Lukas, V. ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Semerádová, Daniela ; Rajdl, Kamil ; Balek, Jan ; Štěpánek, Petr ; Zahradníček, Pavel ; Hlavinka, Petr ; Žalud, Zdeněk
Knowledge of the crop yield with sufficient lead time prior to harvest is crucial for both the farm management and the agro-food sector policy. The aim of this study was to test feasibility of developing crop yield forecasting model in Czech Republic for winter wheat, spring barley and oilseed rape based on 2000-2014 database of vegetation indices Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI2) from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on Terra satellite in form of 16-days composites. An average yield data were collected for 14 selected districts in the Czech Republic that represent the regions with more intensive agricultural production among varying climate and topographic conditions. The viability of the concept was proven in years with significant yield decline i.e. 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2012, when yields of cereals were significantly affected by occurred drought periods. More stable regression results were achieved in the most productive areas such as Olomouc and Prerov, whilst models in highland regions were influenced by lower acreage of three modelled crops and higher prevalence of fodder crops. In most cases, EVI2 showed higher correlations to the crop yield together with using an average value of all composites during vegetation period.

Design of Power Supply for Aircraft Model

Changes of Land Ownership Rights in Bohemia after 1918
Karfík, Zdeněk ; Adamová, Karolina (advisor) ; Soukup, Ladislav (referee)
99 R E S U M E Due to numerous interventions into ownership right to immovable property in general and land in particular, namely from the part of the state, which have occurred in remote and recent past since the creation of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, it is impossible to speak about long-term continuity of legal status. This applies, in particular, to the two land reforms which occurred as a result of two revolutionary changes of social relations - the first one (the "first land reform") after 1918 and the second one (the "second land reform") after 1948. As regards the first land reform, I have focused on key relevant legislation: Act No. 32/1918 Coll. on attachment of large land estates, Act No. 215/1919 Coll. on the appropriation of large land property (the Appropriation Act), Act No. 329/1920 Coll. (the Compensation Act) and Act No. 81/1920 Coll., the Allotment Act. Under the Appropriation Act, agricultural property with the area in excess of 150 hectares of arable land or of 250 hectares of total land area was appropriated, meaning that the original owner could no longer dispose of it. Under the Allotment Act, the state then regulated the process of allotment of agricultural land and forests to allottees, mostly individuals, but also to various associations, cooperatives, etc. In this...

The education projects importance for the original Ladakh society the situation in Kargyak village
Pecháček, Jakub ; Pargač, Jan (advisor) ; Kumsa, Alemayehu (referee)
Resumé This baccalaureate work is dealing with the activities of the non-profit organizations in the indian Ladakh area. Ladakh is a part of the Jammu and Kashmir state, resp. Jammu, district Leh. It is still problematic area boardering with China (Tibet) and Pakistan. Ladakh lies at the Himalayan area and it is known for its very low rainfall activity. Therefore there is not much of fertile land and that forces to farm very hard or pasturage. In the work I will concentrate on the help in educating people living in the most remote areas, namely in Zanskar. The works objektive will be the presentation of the region, the people living there and the projects that are held in the place. There is also a target to answer some of the questions related to the foreign participation in local education and ecology services. The impacts created by implemantaion of the developing projects are different. The land changes, social changes, as well as changes in culture and politics. Why do the local people need a school in such a remote mountain area? The local people have been living in the area for hundread years without any need of help so why it comes right now? Do they really want the change? What does the background look like concerning the projects? Who is in the lead of the projects and how are they applicated?...

The realization of daily life in the writings of the Czechs who travelled to the Near East in the late middle ages and early modern period
Homolka, Vojtěch ; Zilynská, Blanka (referee) ; Bobková, Lenka (advisor)
The remote voyages were absolutely extraordinary events in the Middle Ages and Early modern period. But even people far away from home had to eat, sleep at night and take care of their appearance. I focused on the remarks in the area of daily life in the Writings of the Czechs, who travelled to the Near East in the 15th and 16th centuries. Václav Wratislav z Mitrowicz stayed in the Constantinople, Martin Křivoústý, Martin Kabátník, Jan Hasištejnský z Lobkowicz, Oldřich Prefát z Vlkanova and Kryštof Harant z Polžic a Bezdružic pilgrimized to the Holy Land. Kabátník and Harant then continued to the Egypt. An alimentation of travellers consisted particularly of bread, fruits and meat. They drank in most cases water and wine. On the one hand they could taste exotic dishes; on the other hand their fare was relatively monotonous - especially on the ship, in the prison or during crossing the desert. It was necessary to keep the basic hygienic habits in order to avoid an illness. For example red pestilence or seasickness threatened. The ill pilgrims could take shelter in a hospital. The dirty travellers could visit an oriental spa that had distinction. Sleeping in the far-away countries was not too comfortable. The people slept in the hospices, in the monasteries or in the open air. They lay on the plaited matting...

Real estate registers via internet in the EU Countries and in Europe
Kořínek, Tomislav ; Traurig, Michal (advisor) ; Pokorný, Pavel (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to clarify and assort the possibilities of remote Internet access to the land registry in the EU countries and in Europe. Various maturities of countries in Europe offer various ways to facilitate obtaining information from the land registry. Each cadastral portal in this work is evaluated by several specific aspects that are suitable for general guidance and a clear indication of the possible approach. By the first look at the Czech and Slovak Cadastre Portal differences are evident not only in a different form of provided information but also in a different amount of information provided, whereas each has a number of advantages and disadvantages. Top rated cadastral portal with the possibility of remote access via the internet is in this work the land register portal that allows to obtain full-featured information for each individual from row of laity (e.g. buyers of land) and also for individuals, for whom is working with land registers daily work (e.g. real estate brokers) and a personal visit to the land registry office only in office hours completely remove from the daily program.
