Kavitace a nukleace bublin ve vodě s příměsemi
Zima, Patrik ; Maršík, František ; Sedlář, M.
The latest advances in modeling of cavitation in water flows and experimental investigation of bubble nucleation in a cavitation nozzle will be presented. The emphasis will be put on presenting the results of the recent measurements with cavitation nozzle and the critical assessment of the applicability of the cavitation nozzle principle for determining the size of critical bubble radii. Some results of numerical modeling of cavitation in pumps will be summarized.

Modeling preverbal reprezentations based on the personal construct theory
Filip, Miroslav
The paper arguments for relational or holistic approach to typical psychological issues - mental reprezentations, concepts, experience or categorization, and confronts it with an atomistic approach. Furthemore it tries to support a hypothesis that not all parts of our experience are verbally structured. A formal argument and examples show that we need two complementary principles for psychological realization of any notion of the world which are known from structural semantics: principle of similarity and differences.

Numerické řešení stacionárního a nestacionárního stlačitelného viskozního proudění v kanále
Punčochářová, P. ; Kozel, Karel ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Fürst, J.
This study deals with numerical solution of 2D unsteady flow of compressible viscous fluid in channel for a low inlet airflow velocity. The unsteadiness of the flow is caused by a prescribed periodic motion of a part of the channel wall with large amplitudes. The channel is harmonically opening and nearly closing. When closing the airlow velocity is becoming much higher in the narrowest part of the airways, where also the viscous forces play important role. Therefore for a correct modelling of a real flow the compressible, viscous and unsteady fluid-flow model decribed by Navire-Stokes equations should be considered. The authors present the simulations of the flow field by the expecially developed program.

System of Care after Traumatic Brain Injury - Problems in the Czech Republic: Current Dilemmas and Challanges.
Janečková, Marcela ; Holmerová, Iva (advisor) ; Rusina, Robert (referee)
Aims: To introduce the field of traumatic brain injury (TBI) focusing on the consequences that may be caused by the injury; to give comprehensive information about the organisation and characteristics of a system of care and rehabilitation, to analyse the main problems of the Czech system of care and rehabilitation as perceived by its key actors - people after brain injury and experts. Methods: Quantitative and qualitative research using structured questionnaire, methods of public policy analysis (analysis of documents, problem modelling) Results: The research indicates that due to the Czech care system, people, who have suffered brain injury, struggle with many problems related to the accessibility of individual rehabilitation modules and other social services. Areas difficult to access appear mostly in neuropsychological rehabilitation, speech therapy, special education, end especially social and vocational rehabilitation. Regarding social services, respondents stated that especially difficult to access are supported living and supported employment programmes. An important factor is also the access to the support, which enables an independent life without family support, and how this influences overall life satisfaction. More than half of respondents stated that they did not receive such forms of support...

The didactic game We build a house

In the paper is described an activity focused on developing some geometric skills, such as modelling and representing three-dimensional objects, and communication skills in the teaching of geometry.

Potential of Unified Modelling Language usage for IS description and its application on a case study
Šindelářová, Šárka ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Vratný, Petr (referee)
This paper deals with the possible uses of the UML language as a tool for analysis, design and information systems implementation which is being used by people involved in the process of information systems development. The main goal of this work is to become acquainted with practical methods of using the UML language whereas one of the possible ways will be applied to the "ProBodyShop" case study. Namely, the method is applied to the stage of creating the detailed analysis. Another goal of this paper is to summarize the principles, history, and the elements of the UML language and to introduce the existing UML diagrams and CASE tools necessary for the modeling. Last but not least, in the case study I will demonstrate the decision-making of the information system analyst when creating the detailed analysis. These goals have been achieved by studying the available specialized publications, passing the OMG certified UML course and exam, and thanks to the experience gained during the development of information systems and especially by actively consulting the case study with the submitter. The main benefit of this paper is the creation of basic analytical foundation for development and testing in the first implementation phase of the "ProBodyShop" project and the example of a possible way for the analyst to deal with the detailed analysis. The theoretical part of this work discusses the UML language principles and history, including the main characteristics and development of the UML language. Another part aims at modeling in the UML 2, which represents different views at the system model, the diagrams and the necessary modeling tools. The practical part, which is the detailed analysis of the "ProBodyShop" project, is based on the requirements of the submitter and on theoretical knowledge. This part consists of the introduction to the problem, selection of the proper CASE tool and the process of creating the UML diagrams.

Modelování měnového kursu – parity a česká koruna
Mäsiarová, Jana ; Pánková, Václava (advisor) ; Havrlant, David (referee)
The paper analyses validity of main exchange rate theories in case of the Czech crown. Investigated relationships comprise purchasing power parity, interest rate parity and real interest monetary model. Technical part of the analysis involves cointegration, namely Johansen's method based on vector autoregressive models. Two currency pairs are in the focus: CZK/EUR and CZK/USD. Empirical calculations did not prove the absolute validity of the theories but pointed out to other factors of exchange rate, such as convergence process, impacts on inflation targeting decisions, non-monetarist determinants and the recent financial crisis.

Data Modeling Editor with Support for Reverse Data Engineering
Kozelková, Hana ; Holubová, Irena (referee) ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis builds on author's bachelor thesis called An editor of ER diagrams supporting conversions to relational model and application ERtoS, which was created as a part of it. The original program supports drawing ER diagrams using the classical notation, also ISA hierarchies, n-ary relationships, relationships with attributes and multivalued attributes are supported. The main goal of this thesis is to implement reverse engineering into the ERtoS editor that would enable creating ER diagrams from existing databases. The resulting editor supports both conceptual and logical models and their two-way conversion. The logical model can be exported as an SQL script. The program uses direct database connection to perform the data reverse engineering (DRE). The set of supported databases can be extended using plugins. The thesis contains the theoretical introduction to ER modeling and DRE. A few existing DRE algorithms are compared, the selected algorithm is described in detail including suggested improvements and implementation. Finally the thesis concludes with a comparison of similar programs from both commercial and academic domain.

Evaluation of CASE tools for database design
Brotánek, Jan ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
The focus of this thesis is on designing a process which can be used to evaluate data modeling CASE tools and tools supporting database designing. It maps requirements which are currently imposed to these tools and based on them defines criteria for their evaluation. Process is tested on a set of commercial CASE tools as well as open-source tools. Tools are evaluated based on set criteria and a product which best meets these requirements is recommended. The process is evaluated, modified and published as a seperate attachment after a verification process which uses a set of tools.

Risk modelling in transportation
Lipovský, Tomáš ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with theoretical basics of risk modelling in transportation and optimization using aggregated traffic data. In this thesis is suggested the procedure and implemented the application solving network problem of shortest path between geographical points. The thesis includes method for special paths evaluation depending on the frequency of traffic incidents based on real historical data. The thesis also includes a~graphical interface for presentation of the achieved results.
