Seasonal variability of soil parameters models
Šípek, Václav ; Tesař, Miroslav
Simulation of saturation of the soil profile in the small mountain river basins and testing of two seasonal sets of parameters.

Water mills, iron mills, saw mills, washboards and paper mills during the flash flood in summer 1714.
Elleder, L. ; Šírová, J. ; Munzar, Jan ; Ondráček, Stanislav ; Lopaur, M. ; Dragoun, Z.
The extraordinary flood disaster in the summer 1714 in the Sázava River, Svratka River, Loučná River and Chrudimka River catchments represents one of biggest known flash floods in the Czech flood history. The flood destroyed not only tens of houses, but also a number of water mills, iron mills and other outbuildings. It was also destroyed many ponds. This fact played an important role during the flood. This event significantly influenced the development of water mills and possibly also the development of a network of ponds in the affected area.

Restoration of Botič River basement - the key to solving floods in Pruhonice Park
Petřík, Petr
Project of restoration of Botič River Basement is presented as an output of the Platform for Sustainable Landscape Management which will be implemented in landscape management plans.

Analysis of runoff in selected urban watershed
Kučera, Vít ; Máca, Petr (advisor) ; Petr, Petr (referee)
The work deals with schematization area with sewage networks in the Rainfalls-runoff model urbanized watershed modeling and changes in the Manning roughness coefficient of the pipe to the main sewer, which drains most of the wastewater. The comparison was made on two schematization basin Bohnice collector the main sewer F in the city. Prague. For the simulation program was used Mike URBAN DHI Inc. The main variable was observed outflow hydrograph on the selected sealing profile watershed and its development depending on schematization and change the Manning roughness coefficient.

Proposal of restoration measures in Slubice River basin based on ecohydromorphological survey
Šmerousová, Kateřina ; Matoušková, Milada (advisor) ; Just, Tomáš (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with ecohydrological state of the streams as an answer river habitat quality to exploitation, regulation and otherwise modification (flood-defence engineering, impoundment, river restoration, climate change or the spread of alien species), and with revitalization of water bodies for the purpose of elimination and mitigation of the negative consequences river ecosystem modification and improvement of ecological function river ecosystems in landscape. Focus is on the Slubice river basin in Landscape Protected Area Žďárské vrchy where field survey ecomorphological methods EcoRivHab a HEM was applied. On the basis of the obtained outputs antropogenic transformation of the river network, water quality, hydrological condition, definition of the reference state and assessment of the river patterns and changes of the length on the basis of the historical maps and ecomorphological survey outputs in the area of interest strongly antropogenic changed watercourse reaches was identified which require restoration and suitable restoration measures was proposed to the purpose of WFD goals attaining.

Water retention in experimental waterbasins with focus on histosols
Vlček, Lukáš ; Šefrna, Luděk (advisor) ; Kliment, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis is being written within the framework of the project GA UK 2371/2007 "Water retention in spring areas as a tool of integrated anti-floods protection and solution of problems with dryness" at the Institute of Physical Geography and Geoecology. The influence of histosols on retention, especially in the National Park of Šumava, is a delicate topic because of collision of nature protection and valuable biotopes preservation on one hand and countryside utilization for anti-floods protection on the other hand. The thesis follows the bachelor thesis "Water retention of histosols". It includes a detailed pedological analysis of the basins of 'Rokytka' and 'Černý potok'. The result of the thesis is water retention determination in the basins and calculation of overall soil retentive potential. The thesis also addresses the analysis of the influence of organic soil on retentive potential of countryside. Keywords: water retention, histosols

Degradation of atrazine by homogeneous photocatalysis using Fe(III)/UV/air system and evaluation of potential toxicity of atrazine and its metabolites
KELTNEROVÁ, Lucie
Atrazine photochemical degradation in homogeneous phase using Fe(III)/UV/air system was studied. Two toxicity assessments, a Lemna minor growth inhibition test and a Daphnia magna acute immobilisation test, were employed to test potential toxicity of atrazine and its degradation products. The occurrence of atrazine in rivers from the Vltava River basin was evaluated from the analyses performed by Povodí Vltavy, State Enterprise.

Production of fast growing trees in agriculture of Czech Canada
Hančl, Matyáš ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Malík, Karel (referee)
In the theoretical part of this work I will explain basic keywords for understanding of the entire work. I would like to explain here related theory of renewable energy resources, planting of fast growing trees, their species and possibilities of production. Also here will be indicated and introduced positive influences of cultivation fast growing trees and in required rate explained terms related to drainage conditions in the countryside and the countryside character. Further I will focus on specific opportunities of utilization fast growing trees and I will explain practical influences on local economy, ecology a other thing in necessary rate. In the practical part of this work will be projected concrete placement of stands in the river basin of Dračice river and here will be also accounted provisions for a specific country and economic requirements.
