Load-bearing Structure of Hospital Pavilion

The thesis is focused on the design and assessment of selected elements of load-bearing structure of hospital pavilion. This pavilion consisted of board frame with additionally lined self-supporting perimeter cover. Selected elements of the structure are locally supported slab, columns, foundation pad and staircase . Computational model was assembled of the software RFEM5. Internal forces locally supported slab were verified by manual calculation. The design documentation consist of engineering report, structural analysis and shape and reinforcements drawings of selected structural elements.

Between Minimalism and Postmodern Citations

This thesis is devoted to the connection of postmodern expresive scenographic means and purist scenography.The main theme is new media, especially in terms of integration into the dramatic space.Involved also spectacularization of it's motion picture and performative art digital media and it's influence in the subsequent disillusionment phase of this fascination by technical effects and the potential of digital technology.In a comprehensive description of my work on three theatrical projects, I compare three different approaches to new media in a dramatic space. For these projects, I emphasize the need intermediality of all elements of stage design.

Drama education in catechesis

This theoretical work is searching for an answer for the question: What can drama education offer to current Czech [catholic] catechesis? The introductory chapters deal with meaning and signification of catechesis, its goals, forms, methods and requirements of today's world. The following parts characterized, its principles, goals and types. The next chapter describes relations between theology and theatre as ?parent? branches of catechesis and drama education. The next part compares catechesis and drama education, their general characteristics [principles], goals and methods. This comparison reveals the common colouring and focus of both fields ? focus on complex harmonius development of individuals, - on relationships [with God], with oneself, with people, with the world around, - on life situations, especially crisis, - on overlaps [truth, beauty, symbol ?]. The author sets four basic areas which can make drama education effective in catechesis. They are: aesthetic element ? education via art, expressing oneself through the medium of symbols, games and work with a story. The next part of the work elaborates the four areas and shows their significance for catechesis. In the closing part the four aeras and their educatinal potencial are assigned to partial goals of catechesis in relation to God, to oneself and to world around. These analysis are completed with an attached tabbed diagram, which was created as a working stock during writing of the theses. At the end some questions of possible future research are stated.

Charles University - Faculty of Arts, in comparison with universities in Brno and Olomouc in the turbulent years 1947 - 1950

Résumé This thesis examines the situation at three Czech universities in 1947 - 1950, Charles University in Prague, Masaryk University in Brno and Palacky University in Olomouc. To have an event around February 1948 to describe and then compare, it was necessary to go back to the time shortly after the Second World War, as the post-war development has undoubtedly influence on events in the following period. After the war the University had to deal with personnel and material losses. Many professors on their teaching and research space not returned, many of them died under the Nazi terror. Dismal state of buildings, which were mainly bombing explosions or other damage, especially to address Masaryk University, Brno. Directly after the war dealt University in Prague and Brno employee personnel cleansing of collaborators and people otherwise guilty against the state and national honor. Most affected was the Brno University. Another problem occurred when an enormous interest among young people in the study, due to the closure of Czech universities by the Nazis in the autumn of 1939 (in 1945). On the way to February 1948, were part of universities and student associations. The renovation of historical parks near the small feudal residences on the example of the study of the renovation of the castle garden in Doudleby nad Orlici in Eastern Bohemia.

The aim of this work is the processing methodology and presentation process how to restore monuments of garden art. On the example of the revitalization of the castle garden immovable cultural monument Castle Doudleby nad Orlicí, based on the study of literature, similar interventions and the analysis and interpretation of various types of archival material the current quality of historic garden was evaluated. It is based on field survey, which consists of dendrological research, analyzing the authenticity of trees and appreciation of all the collected documents, historical sources and professional literature. Concept recovery of castle garden is based on the expert authority´s binding point of view of the state care of historical monuments. Renaissance castle in Doudleby nad Orlici is located in the eastern part of the town on a slightly raised hill on the right bank of the River Divoká Orlice. There was a wooden medieval fortress with the farmyard on this place in the 13th century. Sr Mikuláš from Bubno started to build a hunting lodge in the Renaissance style as villa in 1588, which was finished in 1590. The significance of Renaissance residence, which complement the early Baroque elements from the late 17th century, is enhanced by the opulent and impressive sgraffito - carpet pattern covering all external and internal frontage, restored in 1886 by Kirchner. The tall chimneys are the part of decoration in the courtyard decorated with sgraffito as well. The chateau complex is formed along its circuit of farm buildings and residential buildings. Building of castle itself is separated by a park with old trees and newer lawns (Hieke, 1984). Castle park in Doudleby nad Orlicí was founded in 1809 in compositional continuity of the Renaissance castle building. The park forms one organic complex with the castle. The promoter strived, like in the castle rooms, to demonstrate here his wealth, his sense of art and his botanical-dendrological knowledge. The park is designed as a narrow disposition in landscape style and it is composed as a long vista to the castle. The area of the landscape park is 3.76 hectares nowadays. The literature search is especially dedicated to the Renaissance and its relationship to the garden art. The monument care in the Czech Republic and the activity of professional organization of the monument care of the National Heritage Institute in Josefov is introduced in this section. The methodological guide describes the used bolsterings and resulting outputs on the basis of them are implemented of such measures, which will help to improve the health and vitality of existing promising trees and new plantings of trees, which are consistent with the original composition with emphasis on the rehabilitation and upgrading of historical value of the object. Treatment of trees and supplementary planting will be done within the frame of total revitalization of the castle park. The practical unit describes the current status of vegetation monuments of garden art. The inventory trees is the essential tool for analyzing the current status of vegetation monuments of garden art. Inventory, which should provide quality base for a draft recovery, should also be addressed in certain parts with characteristics of individual species (Krejčiřík, 2015). The results of field investigation were completely recorded in the graphical output.

Contentment patients with diet in hospital

This bachelor's thesis discuss a contentment patiens with diet in the fakulty hospital in Hradec Králové. The goal of the bachelor's thesis is to find out satisfaction patiens with hospital's diet in fakulty hospital in Hradec Králové. A theoretical part describe basicly element's of food (lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals) and some methods used for find out mutrition state od patiens.There is define dietary system, describe some diet and describe method of giving enteral and parenteral nutrition. A empirical part consist of research od satisfaction patients with diet by questionnaire. The questionnaire I did myself and distributed to patiens in the fakulty hospital in Hradec Králové.

The Expansion of The Olomouc Musem of Art

The thesis is concerned with a description and an evaluation of The Olomouc Museum of Art (MUO) operations. MUO is a significant element of the cultural life in Olomouc. The theoretical part of the thesis is dealing with the legal basis of this non-profit organization, explaining the definition of the concept "museum" and describing the methodology applied. Methods of strategic analysis modified for non-profit organizations have been used. The historical, organizational and economical aspects of the museum are introduced in the practical section of the thesis, followed by identifying external and internal factors and concluded by SWOT analysis. The thesis is finalized by recommendations to the new museum administration with respect to realization of the Forum project, multi resource financing, volunteer institution utilization and fundraising.

Communication with hospitalized patients that show signs of aggressive behavior

The aim of this bachelor work is to have a look at the problems of communication with patients who have agressive behavior. The knowledge is gained on the base of teoretical study completed by investigations on specific group of medical personals with help of questionnaires. On the ground results of this investigation I refer to absence in communication between medical staff and patients. The impression is put on the individual nurses who can contribute to prevention and to solving this fact.The center of gravity of this work makes quantitative research completed by elements of qualitative research on selected departments directed on various types of agression and ways of communication with agressive patients as well as on the possibilities of prevention and on the all understanding of problems by individual medicals.

Medieval Wall Paintings (Frescoes) in the Decanal Church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary in Písek

Anglická anotace Medieval Wall Paintings at Decan Church of the Nativity of Virgin Mary at Písek Four wall paintings preserved at Decan Church of the Nativity of Virgin Mary at Písek are not only important document of development of Czech painting, but also of painting in middle Europe. Paintings depict Virgin Mary with Jesus, Crucifixion, Taking of the Cross and Jesus The Suffering. The goal of this bachelor work is to implant this examined paintings to cultural and historical connections of the period of art, find similarity of individual illustrations, further summarize the literature about this problem and show the meaning with connection of the paintings in czech and european art. The Town Písek was the property of the Czech Kings, controlled by Premyslid castle. Wall Paintings at The Decan Church of the Nativity of Virgin Mary - Virgin Mary with Jesus and Crucifixion are probably connected with courtly circle. Important role during the creation of the pictures of Virgin Mary with Jesus and Crucifixion did probably the king Přemysl Otakar II., who visited Písek very often. Affection of an Adult Female Patient with Cerebral Palsy using Elements of Comprehensive Rehabilitation

Thesis title: Affection of an Adult Female Patient with Cerebral Palsy using Elements of Comprehensive Rehabilitation Thesis aim: By intensive therapy to achieve subjectively significant improvement of the psychological handicap and sensory-motor skills of an adult female client suffering from cerebral palsy. Method: The theoretical part deals with the issue ofcerebral palsy in general. The practical part ofthe thesis is conceived as a long-term casuistry of one single adult patient (27) suffering from cerebral palsy. We have been monitoring the effect of intensive therapy using elements of comprehensive rehabilitation to affect initial condition ofthe client. The research took six months. The patient was undergoing for the first four months twice a week an intensive five-hour therapy. For the last two months she was undergoing once a week a three-hour therapy. She was specially trained in home exercising during the first few therapy sessions. We have evaluated the effect of the therapy based on results of the examination procedures (examination of shortened museles and magnitude of force of museles tending to weaken, examination of standing position, walk and balance), with the help of health questionnaire EQ-5D and our one's own questionnaire.
