Evaluation Principles: Effective evaluation and financing system for research, development and innovation
Münich, Daniel
The objective of Ipn project “Effective evaluation and financing system for research, development and innovation“) is to replace from 2015 the existing Methodology of evaluating the results achieved by research institutions with a more effective system of institutional evaluation based on the international quality standards. The new evaluation in the form of informed peer-review will reflect the Ipn Audit recommendations as well as Long Term Evaluation Principles adopted by RVVI (Research, Development and Innovations Council). The new system will combine quantitative and qualitative evaluation of outputs and contributions of the creative activity of research institutions with clear and future oriented indicators in order to facilitate evaluation of their development dynamics, evaluate their outputs from the point of view of their quality, relevance, impact and effectiveness while respecting the departmental and institutional differences. It should enable periodic evaluation of the performance of Czech Research, Development and Innovation system as a whole and of its individual components in comparison with the global standards. The evaluation results should facilitate strategic management on the level of public administration as well as on the level of individual institutions and their departments. The evaluation process should be resistant to nepotism and should be supported by high quality international expert evaluators and bibliometrical criteria.

Hodnocení systému pojištění zemědělských rizik
Pešková, Martina
This diploma thesis is concerned with a problem of system of agriculture insurance as the way of risk elimination in a business activity. In the theoretical part of the thesis, risk and agriculture risks are defined. It is followed by possibility of crop and livestock insurance and regulations of Common Agricultural Policy, which individual members of European Union must take into account in creating their own system of agricultural insurance. In empirical part of the thesis, systems of agricultural insurance in selected countries are analyzed with regard to the development of basic insurance indicators like written premium, claims, claims ratio and penetration. Subsequently, common and different characteristics are defined of each system with Czech market for agricultural insurance, based on which recommendations are deduced for system of Czech agricultural insurance in order to increase penetration and reduce unexpected government spending from the state budget.

The effects of low-temperature plasma on initial growth of Brassica napus L. and Zea mays L.
LANDOVÁ, Tereza
Curently seed treatment with low-temperature plasma is one of the trends in alternative agriculture. This trend is based on a seed stimulation without the use of chemical stimulants. The subject of this thesis is the study the effects of low-temperature plasma on initial growth of selected agricultural crops Zea mays L. and Brassica napus L.. The length of sprouts and roots were measured from the initial germination. Growing biomass was dried and weighed at the end of each experiments. Discussion is focused on the time of plasma treatment in relation to possible profitable crops.

Evaluation of the palate morphology in bilatelar cleft lip and palate clefts with palatolaly
Hamtilová, Martina ; Velemínská, Jana (advisor) ; Ivanov, Ilija Christo (referee)
The diploma work was based on the evaluation of dental casts of patients with bilateral cleft lip and palate (BCLP) with a mean age of 10. Patients consist of two groups, patients without defect in speech and with speech impairment (palatolaly). Palatolalies in the literature are primarily associated with velopharyngeal insufficiency. The study tested the working hypothesis that in the failure of speech is involved a different, specific in some way, palatal shape. Dental casts were scanned using a laser scanner and analyzed by 3-D geometric morphometry and multivariate statistics: principal component analysis (PCA), linear regression analysis and finite element analysis (FESA). Using linear regression it was found that the shape of the palate is affected in younger individuals by age, and so had to be 5 patients excluded for further analysis. Patients with palatolaly have lower variability the palatal shape than patients without palatolalie, so their palates are similar to each other and have a specific shape. Palates are wider and lower than in individuals without speech disorder and they have a characteristic deepening behind the anterior part of the palate. We assume that these features in palate morphology primarily the lower arch and the substantial deepening are most likely to affect the...

Comparison of reafing treshers Fendt 8350 and Claas Lexion 580 TERRA TRAC during harvesting of cereals and rape.
URBAN, Josef
The aim of the work is to evaluate the aktivity and quality of reaping treshers two producers at harvest of agricultural crops and their simple economic evaluation. Analysis of activites and quality of work is focused on the size of losses, the effect of moisture on the size of losses, the quality of crushing and spreading of plant residnes. Spreading and crushing plant residnes and anylysis of efficiency and fuel consumption.

Samojízdné stroje a sklízeče v rostlinné výrobě
Karásek, Tomáš
This thesis gives an overview about self-moving machines and harvesting machines currently used in vegetable production. It mainly focuses on self-moving machines for harvesting of cereals and fodder crops. It focuses only marginally on machines for chemical protection and crops' fertilisation and machines for harvesting of root crops and special crops. History, development and individual functional parts are described at chosen self-moving machines. It deals in detail with possibilities of using of different types of adapters for self-moving threshing machine and self-moving cutting machine. Self-moving threshing machines were chosen for technical and technical-economic evaluation.

Certified technological procedure of laboratory tests of acaricidal compounds against stored product mites
Hubert, Jan ; Nesvorná, Marta ; Stará, Jitka
The certified technological procedure was developed in order to support Czech national legislation - Act No. 258/2000. The procedure is aimed at the protection of stored plant substrates against infestation of mites (Acari: Astigmata). The procedure includes two tested methods (i) impregnated filter paper test and (ii) population growth tests. The procedure includes novel findings describing the discrimination doses of acaricidal compounds to the mites. The doses are useful for identification of resistance. The described methods enable the comparison of efficacy of different acaricidal compounds as well as the comparison of toxic effect to various populations of mites.

Raking of Claas Lexion 540 and New Holland CX harvester threshers during cereals and rape harvest.
WOLLNER, Antonín
This bachelor thesis objectives are work quality raking of Claas Lexion 540 and New Holland CX 8080 within harvesting. Harvesting losses, griding, spreading of plants residues, gas mileage were minitored during harvesting.

Molecular and biochemical characteristics of genetically modified barley plants
KOCKOVÁ, Lucie
Modern agriculture often employs broad-spectrum herbicides combined with herbicide-resistant crops. Usually, this is achieved by altering the crop genom (genetic modification) by inserting of a specific gene coding for resistance to specific herbicide or group of herbicides. Apllying such herbicide thus results in minor crop damage. The resistence of crops against broad-spectrum herbicides depends on the genes, which were inserted into the genom. The gene bar is often used as a resistence -providing element. It mediates resistance against a broad spectrum of herbicides, such as glufosinate and Bialahops. For the selection of transformants and preliminary assessment of the target transgen expression level a suitable marker gene is simultaneously inserted. For this purpose, gene for bacterial ??glucuronidase (GUS) is often used. It is considered to be one of the most frequently used reporter systems for the assessment of transgen expression and also allows to analyze the expression on the tissue, cell and whole cell organelles levels. In this diploma thesis the PCR method and histochemical detection of the enzyme glucuronidase presence were used to detect and evaluate transgenic plants of cv. Golden Promise spring barley, modified by genes bar and gus. The presence of gus gene was determined in different parts of plants.
