Study of Constructed Treatment Wetland Reconstruction for Dražovice Village
Roupec, Ladislav ; Pumprlová Němcová, Miroslava (referee) ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (advisor)
The constructed wetlands, which have been being created in the Czech Republic since early 90s, are designed so they do not allow successful removal of ammonia nitrogen. Almost all of these 300 registered constructed wetlands suffer from the colmatage which leads to the lowest effectiveness of treatment in nearly all parameters. The main effort of the Institute of landscape water management is to get rid of bad reputation and to clarify the reason that leads to unsatisfactory conditions of constructed wetlands. The diploma thesis focuses on the selected constructed wetland in Dražovice (850 EO), which removes ammonia nitrogen with the effect just below the limit values in the long term. The pressure of the Morava river basin and Department of environment (Building Authority in Bučovice) has led to the necessity of taking measures leading to the increase of treatment efficiency especially ammonia nitrogen. The diploma thesis includes both, actual project documentation concentrating on the adjustment of watercourse to nitrify ammonia nitrogen, and effective choice of suitable filtration material supported by testing method in situ. The practical part of the thesis deals with the implementation of the technical solution according to the project documentation. The adjustment of the constructed wetland is now nearly before completion. Last adjustments will be taking place during the spring 2017, the final inspection as well as the evaluation of the reconstruction will take place at the end of this year.

Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot
Staněk, Ondřej ; Obdržálek, David (advisor) ; Bednárek, David (referee)
Title: Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot Author: Bc. Ondřej Staněk Department: The Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: RNDr. David Obdržálek, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: David.Obdrzalek@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: In this work, the author designs and implements a solution for programming small mobile robots using a visual programming language. A suitable visual programming front-end is selected and back-end layers are created that allow execution of the program in a mobile robot. The author designs and implements a virtual machine that runs alongside the original robot firmware on an 8-bit microcontroller with limited resources. A code generator layer compiles the visual representation of the program into a sequence of bytecode instructions that is interpreted on board of the mobile robot. The solution supports typical features of procedural programming languages, in particular: variables, expressions, conditional statements, loops, static arrays, function calls and recursion. The emphasis is put on robustness of the implementation. To verify and maintain code quality, methods of automated software testing are used. The Language of Filmic Dreams
Hasalík, Petr ; DAŇHEL, Jan (advisor) ; DOLENSKÝ, Martin (referee)
This thesis focuses on the language of filmic dreams, i.e., the means of expression used by filmmakers to create stylized dream scenes or sequences from the time of Georges Méliès to the present. Each chapter covers one decade and contains analyses of original dream scenes or sequences from two films from the respective period. There are also short synopses of all the analysed films that provide the context for the dream scenes or sequences and each dream scene or sequence is represented by two still frames from the film. At the end of each chapter, there is a list of films with dream scenes or sequences from the respective period, including the dominant means of expression used by the filmmakers, and also the films that do not use any stylization of dreams. The goal of this thesis is to provide a brief historical overview of films containing dream scenes or sequences with focus on the means of expression used by filmmakers throughout the history of cinema.
