The siege of Olomouc in 1758 and its contemporary reflection
Borovský, Jiří ; Horčička, Václav (referee) ; Stellner, František (advisor)
The main topic of this thesis is a Prussian campaign which took place at the beginning of the third year of the war. It was then that Moravia got into the centre of war efforts. First, the thesis analyzes events which preceded this campaign. Apart from that, situation on other battlefields and initial positions of both opponents (Austria and Prussia) are dealt with. Particular attention is paid to political and predominantly military-strategic reasons which made the King of prussia decide to attack Austria. The analysis of the military campaign itself is anchored in older sources written in German. Correspondence of the main partakers, especially of the King of Prussia and the supreme royal army command, is used to provide a disinterested contemporary view of the issue. Memoirs of contemporaries, just as a diary of a burgher which experienced the siege of Olomouc, are used to depict the situation as well.

Sukcese hmyzenek (Protura) a vidličnatek (Diplura) na haldách chemické továrny
Rusek, Josef
Primary succession of Protura and Diplura was studied on deposits of a former chemical factory at Petrovice u Karviné, NE Moravia, Czech Republic, in 1978-1979, 1993 and in 2002-2004. Chemically loaded deposits were 15, 25 and 60 years old in 1979 and a primary succession without plant re-cultivation took place there. The succession was delayed on small humps and slopes where the deposited substrate was covered by terrestrial algae, lichens and mosses. Protura did not enter the primary succession before a moss cover occurred on the 15 years old heap and they were represented only by .i.Acerentulus traegardhi./i.. Three species of Protura were established in the 20 years old grass-covered stage as well as on the 49 years old heap. They occurred in low densities up to the 74 years old stage (and older), in which a proturan community of 4-6 species was established.

History of the North Czech philharmonic Teplice
Kolařík, Tomáš ; PANOCHA, Jiří (advisor) ; TOMÁŠEK, Jiří (referee)
In his master thesis the author provides a look into the history of The North Czech philharmonic Teplice, the only professional symphonic ensemble in the region of Ústí nad Labem, since 1948 until now. The work is divided into four main chapters. The first one gives an overview about the most significant conductors, which held a position of either a chief-conductor or a deputy. The second, crucial chapter brings an insight to the historical development of the orchestra, its changes and events, from the time of the re-establishment (1948) to the year 2016. In the third chapter, the author mentions the most important information about Ludwig van Beethoven music festival, of which The North Czech philharmonic Teplice is an organizer, and then gives a brief and incomplete list of the festival's seasons. The final chapter marginally sums up the work with the information about a new feature called "orchestra academy", inspired by the main czech orchestras. The thesis is attached with pictures showing the rehearsals and concerts environment in the time course and recent images of the orchestra, which enhance the possible plain and fact-like character of the whole work.

Nepřehlédnutelnou skupinu tvoří též skladby instruktivní a dětské sbory s účastí flétny. Literatura zabývající se flétnovými skladbami Jindřicha Felda není příliš početná a její značnou část tvoří absolventské a diplomové práce na českých konzervatořích a HAMU v Praze. Tyto práce se zaměřují více na interpretaci, mají spíše kompilační charakter a pokud obsahují analýzu některé skladby,...

The Vyškov Military Area was established for the needs of the Czechoslovak military forces in 1935 in the area of former woodland of the Olomouc Bishopric. Germans for the expropriation of the surrounding area used the law of the First Republic number 25 from 1935 about the expropriation of the real estate for purpose of the defence of the state. The whole action was the responsibility of the Protectorate Land Office for Bohemia and Moravia (Bodenamt) - the seat in Prague - which established in Vyškov the Office of Relocation. It was subordinated to the Protectorate Department of Home Affairs. The moving of villages in the zone around Vyškov began in spring in 1941 and finished in the end of 1944.

The first part of the diploma worh is titled "The Artist" and is divided into three chapters. The second chapter outlines the most important works by J. A. Quitainer and his father Andreas Philipp. The third chapter places the work of the younger Quitainer in the context of contemporary Prague sculpture. The second part of the diploma work is entitled "The Patron" and comprises two chapters. The first describes the celebrations in 1727 marking the hundredth anniversary of the remains of Saint Norbet, the founder of the Premonstratensian Order, being brought to Prague.
