Mental hygiene of nurses at leading positions
ŠŤASTNÁ, Olga
The thesis concerning mental hygiene of divisional nursing officers is focused on nurse as entire being, how she takes care of her mind and body and which are the consequences on her behaviour and acting. If she keeps the rules of mental hygiene, she preserves herself against psychical and physical tiredness. Theoretical part of my thesis is devoted to mental hygiene, motivation, communication and history. In practical part three aims were determined: to find out whether nurses in leading posts know the rules of mental hygiene, whether they consider it important for their job and whether they act up with these rules. On the base of these aims three hypotheses were created. Quantitative research method was chosen, the form of questionning and technique of data collecting is a questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to 60 nurses in leading posts and 52 properly fulfilled questionnaires came back. The determined aims were fulfilled during the research. Hypothesis H1:Nurses in leading posts know what mental hygiene is and H3: Nurses in leading posts don´t act up with the rules of mental hygiene were confirmed. Hypothesis H2: Nurses in leading posts don´t consider mental hygiene important for their job, wasn´t confirmed. It means that nurses consider it important and that is right. Mental hygiene is very important for job of nurses and its omission can impact general mental and physical health.

MORAVCOVÁ, Soňa
This diploma is devided into two major parts. Theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I consider the meaning of touch which is ambiguouse. Fist of all it should express, by the form of art, our desire and necessity to establish into relationship with another human-being, get in touch and get to know each other. By the time of working at this cycle my form is beginning to change. Touch doesn´t only express relationship but they´re also recording my touching, getting to know myself. The practical part of my thesis focus on production figures. It consists of a cycle of paintings, fiberboard of various sizes made by acrylic technique. These paintings capture directly human bodies in positions of touching, proximity, delay. They capture the joy in positions of direct touch againts deprivation when a person is deprived of contact with another person. The starting point of this thesis is personality and emocionality.

Specifics of nursing care fot patients with tinitus
PÁNKOVÁ, Zuzana
Tinnitus is the technical term for an unpleasant perception of the inner sound source, i.e. for rustle, which may be known as the noise in the head, fizz and ringing in the ears. Symptoms of tinnitus feels about 15% of the population. At the age of 65 years it has been almost every second. Tinnitus is not itself considered as a disease, but as a symptom, which may be a sign of other health problems, mental and physical kind. We distinguish subjective and objective tinnitus. Objective can hear usually and another man, subjective not, it is actually audible hallucinations, which occurs in most cases. Tinnitus is considered one of the great mysteries of human ear. Exposure to intense noise increases the risk of its occurrence. For example, frequent stays in noisy ambience, such as concerts, music festivals, night clubs or listening to music players at high volume levels. An accompanying physical symptom is often a hearing loss. A possible cause may be even injuries of the head, neck, vascular disease, or just an ear inflammation. It is recommended to avoid foods with excessive levels of salt, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and some painkillers. For the diagnosis of tinnitus is required to undergo the complex medical examination, which includes a summary of the case history, medical examination and the audiological assessment. The first step is to visit a general practitioner and an otolaryngologist. Currently there is no approved drug specifically for the treatment of tinnitus. Most treatment options are based on the suppression of tinnitus, together with a reduction of stress. The patient can be helped by improving circulation in the blood vessels and in the cochlea. Therapy can also include elements of education, such as relaxation techniques and psychological therapy. There is the possibility of alternative treatments (acupuncture). This disease is due to its character very demanding on the psyche of the patient. People affected by tinnitus complain of impaired quality of rest and sleep, but also concentration, suffer mentally and physically. Often are they irritated and due to difficulties feel the uncomfortableness, what a relationship with their surroundings disturbs even more. They can have serious psychic problems. An integral part in the diagnosis and treatment of tinnitus, is a nurse. Audiometric examination is carried out by an audiological nurse, aligns the body and the head during otoscopic examination, blood draw and obviously has great effect on the mental preparation of the patient. During therapy nurse establishes a peripheral venous catheter, it is responsible for the proper application of vasodilator infusions, which consists not only in knowledge of the principles of administration of the infusion, but also in the proper patient education. Specificity of a work of nurses in hyperbaric oxygen therapy follows from a technical background, and the need for special physical, mental training and patient education. Research investigations have revealed the specifics of nursing care for patients with tinnitus, the most important seems to patient communication and education, furthermore, a specific examination methods (audiometry), the specifics of treatment (vasodilator infusions, hyperbaric oxygen therapy). The diversity in responses of patients to tintius, the impact of tinnitus on quality of life, needs and problems of patients with tinnitus - this all are the specifics, which nursing staff should know and adequately respond to them. The research shows, that the questioned nurses have general knowledge and skills in treating patients with tinnitus. They know the available investigative and therapeutic methods, problems of patients, know how to tinnitus evaluate and observe. Striking is the fact, that one interviewed nurse has had low professional skills with blood draw, venous catheter application and could not handle the preparation and application of a vasodilator infusion.

Nurse and biological sample collection
HUBENÁ, Marcela
The Title of the Bachelor's Thesis: Nurse and biological sample collection The Basic Theoretical Outcomes: The collection of biological material is one of the most frequently performed task of a nurse. In order to perform the collection correctly, the nurse needs to know nursing techniques, either from the standards of the ward where the nurse works or from professional literature. Biological material (produced in the human organism) includes blood, urine, faeces, sputum, vomit, gastric content, body fluid, and cerebrospinal fluid. Before a medical intervention, it is always important to inform the patient about the procedure (Mikšová, 2006). The Aims of the Thesis: The aim of this thesis was to find whether nurses follow the correct method in blood and urine collection. The following research questions were formulated: 1. What are the most common errors in urine collection? 2. What errors do nurses make in blood collection? Methodology: The empirical part of the thesis was carried out on the basis of qualitative research. The hidden observation method was chosen as the technique for data collection. Collected data was entered into beforehand prepared sheets which included a precise method of venous and capillary blood collection and catheterization of urinary bladder (permanent and one-time) in women. The observation was conducted in March 2015 in standard wards and ICU wards in České Budějovice hospital, a.s. The research sample consisted of 26 general nurses. 12 of them were observed during venous blood collection and 6 of them during capillary blood collection. 2 nurses were observed during urine collection by means of one-time catheterization of urinary bladder in women; 6 nurses during urine collection by means of permanent catheterization of urinary bladder in women. Results: The observation sheets were filled in during the observed collection. Subsequently, categorization tables were created where the ranking of the most common errors in blood and urine collection was represented. The nurses made the following errors during blood collection: not underlying the limb by a protective pad (= incomplete preparation of blood collection tools and failure to check the tools), not washing their hands before and after the procedure, poorly disinfected skin at the site of injection, not using protective gloves, inserting the test tubes into the adapter in incorrect order, applying the tourniquet for more than a minute. The nurses made the following errors in capillary blood collection: not using protective gloves, not washing their hands before the procedure, not wiping the first drop of blood, not preparing all blood collection tools (namely, not using a capillary), poorly disinfected skin at the site of injection, not washing their hands after the procedure. The following errors were observed in the nurses during urine collection by means of catheterization: not arranging for the women to wash their genitals, not washing their hands before the procedure, not arranging for the client to be in an intimate environment before the procedure, incomplete preparation of collection tools and subsequent failure to check the tools before the procedure. Conclusion: The results show that nurses do not follow the correct method of blood and urine collection. They make errors that can lead to poor diagnosis of the examined sample, and, therefore, to a poor diagnosis and treatment of the illness. They do not protect themselves with protective gloves during blood collection. The results of this thesis were consulted with a manager from České Budějovice hospital, a.s. Mgr. Monika Kyselová MBA.

Ordinary Life in the Royal Town Louny at the End of the 16th Century
Paterová, Petra ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Roedl, Bohumír (referee)
The history of everyday life is an interesting historical branch, which brings the researcher a lot of information about family, work, entertainment, problems and other things that surround everyone and every day. In the same way, these things have influenced lives of our ancestors. The fascination with ordinary lives of early modern history is actually a desire to get to know oneself. Despite the fact that the outlook on everyday things may have changed during the centuries, what has not changed were the topics. The libri testimoniorum are a more than suitable source of information for everyday life research. Owing to the testimonies of the witnesses of the particular trials, the books unwittingly reveal many details about the life of early modern towns. Studies of these books bring motivation for researching not only the everyday history, but also culture and mentality history. Last but not least, it is important to mention research into criminality of early modern towns.

Exercise for Women after Giving Birth by Cesarean Section
SEJPKOVÁ, Zuzana
The theme of the bachelor thesis is women´s exercise after the caesarean section. The exercise helps women to recover after the caesarean section and also speeds up the process of healing and lowers the bad outcome. The work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part, based on scholarly literature, we describe the history, indications for Caesarean section, methods of the operation, kinds of anaesthesia and possible complications after the Cae-sarean section (C-section). Then the work deals with the role of a midwife in pre-operational and postoperative care for a woman. The exercises in hospital are described and suitable exercises for home care are suggested. At the end we describe the postoper-ative care of the scar, such as massage using animal fat but also more modern trends like silicone stickers and plasters, laser treatment or taping. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out if women have enough infor-mation about the importance of exercising after C-section and also to find out which sources they use when searching information on exercising. The final aim of this thesis was to explore possibilities of exercising after C-section at the hospital puerperium ward. To reach our goals we used three hypotheses which were verified by a statistical test. Hypothesis 1: Women have enough information about the importance of exercising after C-section. Hypothesis 2: Women find necessary information about exercising after C-section mostly on the Internet. Hypothesis 3: Women on the puerperium ward exercise only with the physiotherapist. In the bachelor thesis we have chosen the quantitative research method, data col-lection was done by a questionnaire which had been distributed electronically. The sam-ple group consisted of women placed in the puerperium ward of hospital in Klatovy and in České Budějovice . The sample group consisted of 138 respondents. The evaluation of the research has proved that women have enough information about the importance of exercising (73%), this statement is also supported by the fact that only 8 respondents did not know what kind of exercise to choose in the days imme-diately after C-section. Hypothesis 1 was confirmed by the statistical test. The question-naire has also showed that women find information about exercise after C-section most-ly from their doctors or from the Internet, but also from the midwives at the ward. Other important sources of information are the physiotherapists. On the base of these results hypothesis 2 was not confirmed. The exercises at the puerperium ward are organised mostly by a physiotherapist but sometimes some women exercise on their own or with the help of their midwife. A physiotherapist is then not the only person with whom the women exercise this is the reason why the statistical test had not validated the hypothesis 3. We have also found out from the questionnaire that among the women who had attended birth classes only 12 % of them were informed about exercising after C-section. The research has showed that it is necessary to motivate women more towards exercising because even when having access to necessary information about exercising after C-section only 38 % of the women carried on exercising in home care, though, except of one person, all of those women had chosen the right exercises. The questionnaire has proved that when it comes to scar treatment after C-section 74% of women were informed about the care, the women are mostly educated by their doctor, midwife or a physiotherapist. The Internet as a source for information plays an unimportant role here. We have found out that women are aware of the new and more modern trends in scar treatment but they still mostly prefer to use massage with animal fat. The questionnaire has also suggested that 40 respondents did not care about any kind of scar treatment. Women themselves mostly gave to the amount of information about postoperative scar treatment average mark 3.

Nursing care of Pacients after spine surgery
TAKÁCSOVÁ, Alena
The title of my thesis is Nursing care after spinal surgery. The number of patients with problems of different parts of the spine is growing as well as indications to operational solutions. This is due to society trends and a greater load on the body. Therefore operational procedures requiring specific nursing procedures for treatment in the early post-operative period increase. The thesis highlights the issue of specific nursing care for patients with various diseases and parts of spine. It points out that there is no universal measurement of nursing care for different types of operations on the same section of the spine and it is necessary to choose the right procedure in specific nursing care along with subsequent rehabilitation care. The number of people with diseases of the spine indicated for surgery continues to increase. Research mentions modern days numbers compared with the time 20 years ago and I dare say the numbers are disastrous. There is nothing to wonder about. Disproportionate load does not decrease, a sedentary way of life either at work or at home also adds to the risk of developing these diseases. These have resulted in discomfort mainly in personal life of a human, but also threaten their working and social role and disrupt the economic security, which we cannot do without nowadays. In our thesis we deal with already incurred pathological manifestations indicated for a surgery. In other words, what happens to the patient, if they are recommended by our outpatient physician - neurosurgeon for a surgery. The lack of nursing literature on this specific issue was the reason for us to choose this theme. In the theoretical part we will discuss the general structure - spine anatomy and physiology, basic terms related to the basic movements, and curvature of the spine. Since our thesis is focused on nursing care after a surgical treatment of diseases of various sections of the spine at the department of Neurosurgery, Traumatology and the Infectious department in České Budějovice, the theoretical part includes basic theoretical outlines of the most important surgical procedures performed at these departments in the hospital of České Budějovice a.s.. Furthermore, we will get to the specifics of nursing care after these surgeries related to early rehabilitation care and close cooperation with physiotherapists. It should be emphasized that teamwork is the cornerstone in the care of patients after spinal surgery, whose subsequent rehabilitation and education in self-care after being discharged from the hospital care is one of the basic prerequisites for a successful recovery and return to their working and social role. The research part focuses on the following objectives: Aim 1: To determine whether nurses know the correct procedures for early rehabilitation of patients after spinal surgery Aim 2: Find out what is the level of collaboration between nurses and physiotherapists in the specifics of patients after spinal surgery Aim 3: To determine whether the nurse´s education and length of practice has an impact on the provision of specific nursing care for patients after spinal surgery Furthermore, using the research questions related to this issue: Research 1: How do nurses and physiotherapists cooperate in a patient´s care after spinal surgery? Research 2: Is a nurse´s length of practise connected with higher expertise in providing specific nursing care to the patient after a spinal surgery? Research 3: Does the education of nurses affect the knowledge of the specifics of the nursing care to the pacients after a spinal surgery? Research 4: How do nurses extend their knowledge in specifics nursing care for pacients after spinal surgery?

Specifics of nursing care for members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church
VOTRUBOVÁ, Veronika
Seventh Day Adventist Church was established in the United States in the 19th century and belongs among the Protestant churches. Adventists are characterized by the fact that they expect the second coming of Jesus Christ and hold Saturday holy for celebration of God. The theoretical part deals with the definition of multicultural nursing, nursing and describes the nursing process. It is focused on nursing models Leininger and Giger with Davidhizar. Another part of the theoretical work deals with religion, spirituality spiritual needs of patients and clients. The last part focuses on the Seventh Day Adventist Church. There is information about their history, doctrine and communities, basic doctrinal pronouncements, their particularities such as baptism, which is done in adulthood, the Lord's Supper and principles of Christian life. Adventists worship on Saturday; they are not allowed to work and must devote the whole day to God. The work also describes the activities of the Church and the related humanitarian organization ADRA. Adventists keep to a healthy lifestyle and have a medical program called the NewStart. The goal of the diploma thesis was to find out the specifics of nursing care for members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, to map out specific attitudes towards health among members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and to map opinion of nurses on the importance of multicultural nursing for their work. Towards these goals, five research questions had been established: 1. Do members of the Seventh-day Adventist have specific needs in nursing care? 2. How do members of the Seventh-day Adventist perceive medical personnel attitudes? 3. Do members of the Seventh-day Adventist have specific spiritual needs? 4. Do members of the Seventh-day Adventist lead a specific lifestyle? 5. Do nurses know the importance of multicultural nursing in practice? To fulfill the research objectives and to answer research questions, qualitative research was used. The survey was carried out through semi-structured interview with members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and general nurses. Interviews with members of the SDA were held in the Gathering of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Benešov and the snowball technique was used to find further respondents. Interviews with general nurses were conducted in two hospitals in internal and surgical wards. The Interviews were attended by 10 members of the SDA and 10 nurses. The qualitative survey found that members of the SDA church have no specifics in nursing care. Only some members, who are vegetarians, require a vegetarian diet in hospitals. In a hospital setting, they have no problem with praying and easily adapt to the surroundings, because they do not want to draw attention to themselves. They have no problem with vaccination, transplantation, receiving transfusions or other diagnostic and medical procedures. Most members perceive health professionals positively, but there were two who have experience with disdain and misunderstanding of their faith by them. Further research shows that Adventists have specifics in death care and diet. SDA has a health reform, which includes the NewStart. The Adventist Church does not recommend eating meat and bans alcohol, tobacco and narcotics. Nurses see major importance of multicultural nursing in avoiding conflict with a client that could arise from ignorance of their religion. Another point is the possibility to better understand the client's behavior and the ability to empathize with their feelings. Because of the knowledge of multicultural care, nurses are able to meet the needs of clients and provide them with quality nursing care. On the basis of the research, standard nursing procedures for members of the SDA and informational material for nurses to facilitate the provision of particular care to members of the SDA have been developed.

Burnout selected members of the Integrated Rescue System in South County
KUBOUŠEK, Ladislav
The bachelor's thesis is concerning on the burnout syndrom in particular parts of integrated rescues system. In the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis is defined the term of burnout syndrom, its causes, subsequent prevention, support and the treatment. The practical part is focused on findings of burnout syndrom among the components of the integrated rescues system, that is the Police, Fire Brigade and Ambulance Service, using the semi-standardized interview, questionnaire and qulitative analysis. It was found out that all the respondents know the term of burnout syndrom. They all realize that their profession is mentally and phzyically demanding and there is a high risk of the burnout syndrom. Any of the respondents currently doesn't experience any symptoms of the burnout syndrom, only one of them should watch himself to avoid the burnout syndrom in the future.
