Identity of Social Work And Social Workers

The thesis deals with the identity of social work and social workers. It aims to describe a current perception of the identity of social work and social workers in the Czech Republic by social workers and the whole society. The thesis therefore reflects the current state of the identity and also mentions various influences on it, as well as impacts that result from this situation. In connection with this problem the thesis presents basic documents and institutions important for social work and social workers, as well as important figures in Czech contemporary social work or social workers typology. The thesis also includes a research aiming to describe the current perception of the identity of social work and social workers, both by social workers and the society, which in turn enables to compare these two perspectives.

Mask, Disguise and Role Play in Worldwide Contemporary Self-Portrait

This bachelor thesis deals with the role of mask, disguise and playing with the roles through self-portrait in worldwide contemporary photography. In the first chapters it follows the general development of the self-portrait and a brief history of photography and its forms and tendencies from beginning to the present, it is also focused on the mask in general and role of masks and disguises in the history of photography. Main part of this work is the last chapter, which is devoted to the youngest generation of contemporary photographers. In their self-portraits we can follow tendency which reveals use of mask and disguise for change of their identity. However, they do not create a new identity but takes over, or form the illusion of existing already defined identities. The aim of this thesis is to present the mask as an instrument for role play through a self-portrait.

Corporate identity of cultural institutions

This thesis researches relationship between corporate identity and cultural environment. It explains and analyses key subjects such as graphic design, corporate image, corporate culture, corporate communication, corporate product, target group, symbol, brand, vision, mission etc. It is divided into three parts – first part contains definitions, second part contains analysis of two key studies – Na zábradlí Theatre and Josef Kajetán Tyl Theatre and then there’s third part, which merges the previous (theoretical and practical) into one, which should outline process of creating own brand identity. The last part is focused mostly on handling with corporate design. The thesis emphasizes necessity and reason of professional marketing approach to achieve rising brand equity and stable growth of any cultural corporation.

International labour migration into Ireland, Germany and the Czech Republic

This study focuses on international labour migration. On the basis of sociological migration theories and concepts it aims to show and explain or identify trends typical for contemporary migration and present them on the migration processes in three selected countries- Ireland, Germany and the Czech Republic. The study refers to migration theories operating both on macro and micro (or mezzo) levels. Former is represented by classical migration theories or by the world-system approach and by the concept of global cities which is based on them. The latter is represented by the theories of social networks and social capital. The study also pinpoints to transnational migration, which represents a new trend and approach within migration studies. Furthermore it also takes into consideration some aspects of economic sociology and its analysis of migration. Moreover, this study challenges questions of co-existence of immigrants and "hosting societies", and introduces forms of integration and incorporation. It is also targeting on the role of national identity as well as perception of immigrants by the majority of the "hosting populations". Edvard Beneš in public discourse at the turn of the twentyfirst century (instrumental use of example of historical personality in construction of national/state identity)

Author of this thesis concentrates on sample analysis of historical personalities by creation national/state identities. The writer chose the second president of Czechoslovakia Edvard Benes and used him for this case study. On this sample, author examined, whether a picture of certain historical personality is a part of Czech/state identity. Opinions on E. Benes' policy and himself as well have always been contradictory and even nowadays E. Benes is a very often discussed person, as an evidence the author pointed out Parliament vote in Czech Senate in 2004 on E. Benes about his credits. Author watches the opinion on politics and decisionmaking of E. Benes as a view component on national history and collective identity even by different opinions and approaches. Author has in her thesis also concetrated on testimony analysis of two groups of respondents, that on one hand is made by Benes' contemporaries, eyewitnesses of World War 2, and on the other hand by senators, who voted for law: "E. Benes helped to establish the State.", and a part of political respondents are important politicians, who have certain position in relationship with public opinion, because they are very often asked by media. The topic of this thesis is focused on the issues of the Identity Management. The author of the work describes the possibilities using this concept and application Identity Management in organizations. This issue is not oriented just from the point of Information security where this area belongs. The goal of this work is to create a framework of the process Identity Management by using best practises and standards. The context of the work should describe new trends and using special tools for safety work with process of Identity Management and the risk in area of the Identity Management. To achieve these goals which are mentioned above is ensured by using analysis of information sources and consulting with professionals from organization. The benefit of this work is provide comparison of teoretical knowledges with practical usage in organization and its recommendation to improve the process Identity Management.

Integration of Muslim minorities in comparative perspective

The objective of this thesis is to evaluate Russia's integration policy towards Muslim minority. The thesis presents the basic aspects of Russian integration policy to the readers and analyzes the main problems related to the coexistence of the Russian society and Muslim community. The main problems, which are discussed, are religious legislation, the involvement of Muslims in politics, the issue of education, building mosques. Work is primarily devoted to religious identity of Muslims. Analysis of the mentioned problems shows that Russian religious policy is not yet formed completely. The current integration policy of the Russian government is still quite successful.

Functional, Grammatical and Lexical Specifics of Journalistic Writing at the Present time. The Language Used on the Internet

The problem of the contemporary journalism (language of reporting, documentary style) condition, which mainly uses the media for its purposes, is one of the most topical ones in the contemporary society. The specific character of language of media, as it was already mentioned, is usually determined by the special features of communicative situation as well as audience type it addresses. The strengthening of speech effect in journalism is achieved with the aid of the stylistic figures and tropes. Their usage is based on the two basic tendencies - standardization and expressiveness. Some expressive means of the language of journalism are converted into the clichés. During the last decades the language of reporting position in the stylistic system of the Russian language became even more complex. In the relationship of the basic forms of national language the expansion of two peripheral forms is very obvious - the expansion jargon forms and colloquial language. The language of journalism is leaving the rigid system of language styles and actively interacts with conversational language. Prostorová strukturace vnímání a vědomí regionálních a lokálních identit: analýza a kartografická reprezentace pomocí metod mentálního mapování (teoretický a metodologický úvod)

The project following transdisciplinary approach comprising geographical, sociological and environmental-psychological view of the issue is about to be theoretically and empirically concerned with a question of subjective perception and construction of space and creation of territorially tied collective identities. Using the method of mental mapping and other behavioural-geographical, sociological and psychosemantic methods a spatial structure of awareness of local and regional identities, preferences, values and attitudes will be investigated. The factors affecting creation of subjective sense of places and relations (identifications) with places will be analysed and classified. The main result should be a set of mental maps (cartographic syntheses) delimiting and representing a model area (region) at different spatial hierarchical levels based on selected aspects, characteristics and subjective criteria.
