Shaping the psychological concept in teaching psychology

The topic of this thesis is the issue of construing psychological concepts studied from the didactic- pedagogical and especially from the psychological point of view. The complicated processing of notions into concepts construction found its theoretical resource mainly in the theories of Vygotsky, Piaget and Bruner. The thesis analyses individual, social and educational constructivism and compares transmisive and constructivistic approaches within the school education. A separate section of the theoretic part deals with the didactics of psychology and with the definition of the term psycho-didactics. The topics of adolescent characteristics (with the focus on their cognitive development) and the concept of temperament (mainly its typologies) are included for empirical research reasons. The empirical part of the thesis confirms the patterns described in theories on a concrete psychological concept. For experimental research, the relatively well defined concept 'temperament' was purposely chosen (specifically types of classical temperament typology). The appropriation and understanding of these psychological notions/concepts are affected by several factors. Irish and Scottish songs in English language teaching

This diploma thesis is cross-curricular. It focuses on possibilities of using Irish and Scottish songs in ELT (English language teaching) at upper primary schools. At first, the theoretical part deals with characteristics of Irish and Scottish music. Next, it focuses on several chapters from musical psychology, to be concrete; it describes how music can affect listeners, and how listeners deal with their attention while listening to the music. Then, the theoretical part summarizes teaching methods and methods used when dealing with songs in ELT. The practical part is divided into two sections. The choice of three thematically different Irish and three Scottish songs and suggestions how to deal with them in a lesson are described in the first section. The second section focuses on realization of three of these songs in lessons.

Application of the basal stimulation in nurcisg care

Basal stimulation is a pedagogically-nursing concept, based on the knowledge of pedagogy, development psychology, anatomy, physiology and nursing. The basic elements of the basal stimulation concept are movement, communication and perceiving. The concept enables to clients with changes in the field of perceiving, movement and communication the integration into the present life with the maximum usage of their former life habits and experience, it respects the preserved abilities and moreover accepts their future life needs. The correct integration of basal stimulation elements into the nursing care enables to intermediate to the man the perceptions from his body and the stimulation of perceiving organism enables him to perceive better the surrounding world and to establish the communication with it. Hereby the total development of the individual is supported.

Stereotypes about aging population

First, the paper presents stereotypes about aging and its impact on the aging population. It is indisputable that these stereotypes, no matter whether they are positive or negative, have an influence on psychological as well as physical health. Second, the paper informs about memory training programme for seniors and the part of research focused on subjectively perceived changes in relevant aspects. Research findings are discussed in terms of possibilities to influence the stereotypes about the aging population.

Educator in Children's Home and Her Role in Meeting the Emotional Needs of Children

The thesis investigates how educators in Children's Home family type perceive their educational role. The first part characterizes the institution of children's home from a legal perspective. Secondly, it describes the reasons for placing children to children's home, child development, the problem of psychological deprivation and the role of educator in terms of pedagogy and psychology. The practical part of the research investigates the question of how children's home educators perceive Children's Home family type the specificity of their educational role. The research was conducted by means of interviews and their subsequent analysis. It is concluded that children's home of a family type seems to be a world on the border of an institute and family, which is an emotional burden especially for educators, they put a lot of energy into family relationships with children, but children experience is only as a institute.

Anorexia of a child and its impact on the family

This bachelor thesis concerns a situation of a family in which appeared mental illness anorexia. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part describes theoretical concepts of family psychology the proper functioning of family, characteristics of family system, social pathology phenomena. It also describes anorexia, its causes and symptoms. This part focuses on families with a disabled child, for comparison, whether the impact on the family are the same or different. The second part, through research, determines whether anorexia has a bad impact on the family, relationships and family functioning.

ADHD in elementary school

Aim of this thesis is to look at the problematics of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and show the attitude towards children in the school environment. ADHD and other connected terminology is explained in the theoretical part of the thesis. Possible causes of ADHD are described in the following chapters. Because pupils in lower secondary schools are in their puberty, this stage is described from the psychological point of view. Analysis of symptoms of ADHD in various stages of life follows. Attention will be also focused on prevention of problematic behavior at school. The end of the theoretical part is dedicated to possibilities of threatment and the experience of special pedagocial centres. Practical part of this thesis consist of interviews with teachers who have been teaching children with ADHD. The aim is to analyze the factors which may affect the success of students with ADHD in obtaining of primary education.

The psychology of behaviour in transport

This bachelor thesis is aimed at the psychology of behaviour in transport. The tesis investigates the people who are involved in accidents and what types of people are more susceptible to accidents. The main aim of the thesis is exploration on the causes of accident behaviour of different types of peopels, their compared by gender and determination suitables practicals recommendation. The theoretical part includes a litarature review which describes the personal characteristics of drivers, their personality, temperament. It describes the diferent typology of risk drivers, what is their driving style and what makes them angry. This part describes the diferencis between men and women, too. The practical part investigates the risk drivers, their compared by personality typology, temperament, gender and age and also investigates the causes of their behaviour in transport. This survey is based on questionnaires and time series analysis.

Psychology of Architecture

This bachelor work deals with all kinds of aspects that affect the final form of architectural works. I also wanted to think about the very nature and purpose of architecture, about a definition of the concepts that make up the architecture as a whole. I am interested also interplay and influence on other fields of art, which the architecture is composed of; like the very principle of architecture. And if we consider architecture as part of the art, I intend the concept of beauty in architecture. Finally, I deal with the influence of architecture on the environment, and vice versa - the environmental on architecture. Part of this work is a set of important buildings, which somehow also excited me, so I tried to express my opinion on them. In onclusion, I deal with a topic that has combined the beauty and architecture major role - Japanese garden.
