International Market Production Strategies for Documentary Films
Císařová, Markéta ; Prenghyová, Andrea (advisor) ; Horská, Tereza (referee)
This thesis seeks to analyse a producer?s thinking about the making of a creative ducumentary on the international market. It aims to do so through the analysis of strategies used by specific producers in the Central and Eastern Europe. The project describes the particularities in making the of as well as financing a creative documentary and its development in the last two decades. It examines the producer?s relationship towards the director and the extent to which he can creatively participate in the process of creation and the subsequent presentation of the film work. This thesis also tries to describe the choice of available production strategies which can very fundamentally determine the success or the failure of the film. The term strategy describes a collection of personal practices and important decisions made by individual producers based on either their good intuition or an extensive experience. It could be described as a mosaic of skills that creates the art of production. To achieve the objectives of the thesis, the chosen research method is based on facts and personal observations of the author. For the purpose of this project she choose four diffrent producers from the formel Eastern Block. All of them tend to think comprehensively about their work and often produce films for the international market; an ambition, that is also reflected in the funding of the projects. At the same time, they are all very renowned producers in their own countries, actively encouraging the domestic authors of mostly documentary films. Naturally, each of these producers has his or her unique approach to film production and this difference is the author?s main focus. Selected producers: Jiří Konečný (endorfilm, Czech Republic), Martichka Bozhilova (Agitprop, Bulgaria), Anna Wydra (Otterfilms, Poland) a Alexandru Solomon (HiFilm Productions, Romania). The data was collected from articles and publications but mainly in the form of interviews with the producers themselves and their local film makers. In an attempt to describe the film market in which the producers operate, each chapter is introduced with the characteristics of his homeland. This should help to set his work and thinking in the appropriate socio-economic context. An important part of the thesis represent the case studies of selected film producers. Here, the analyses of specific films are an attempt to better explain the issue. The characteristics of each producer helps to provide a deeper individual analysis, considering not just the nature of their work, but also their personal history and any other significant characteristics. The creation of a how-to-become-a-successful-producer manual is certainly not the aim of this work. It is rather a deeper analysis of this profession based on the author?s personal observation. The project tries to compare different ways of producer thinking with the consideration of their advantages and drawbacks. Finally, it seeks to estimate the further direction and find out more about plans and visions of the contemporary producers of creative documentaries.

Feeding strategies for premature infants (24th-34th gestational week) on discharge from the hospital.
GAZDOVÁ, Zdenka
According to the experts, the breastfeeding support and education of mothers in the Czech Republic is insuficient. There is declining number of children who are brestfed exclusively to six months of life, premature babies posing even greater problem in this matter. Much of this problematic trend resides in the lack of support for mothers. A major problem in the Czech Republic is the fact that there are still a few maternity hospitals which are arranged so that mothers can be with their babies immediately after birth, especially if we talk about preterm newborns. Breastfeeding is the most important way to ensure the healthiest nutritional needs of an infant. It allows not only nutrition, but also feeling of safety and security, which is very important in proper development of the child. Furthermore, the breastfeeding contributes to the creation of solid emotional relationship between mother and child. Among other things, breastfeeding is undoubtedly the cheapest possible child nutrition. Goal of this thesis is to draw attention to a small number of premature babies, who are fully breastfed at discharge from the hospital leading to many negative consequences such as reduced immunity, psychosocial issues, et cetera. In our opinion, the problem is caused by lack of time, excessive workload of nurses and doctors' little initiative. Through this thesis we would like to draw attention to current knowledge and information about the breastfeeding preterm infants in perinatal centers. We also mapped the number of premature babies fully breastfed at discharge from hospital and identified through research the causes of low prevalence of breastfeeding these children. Another objective was to map the knowledge and skills of nurses in practice, to determine the connection between these skills and the difference in diet between compared hospitals. Finally, we propose solutions to the identifed shortcomings. The theoretical part processed characteristics of a premature baby, anatomy and physiology of breastfeeding and its benefits for the child, proper breastfeeding technique, the importance of nurses in the management of breastfeeding and activities to promote breastfeeding in the Czech Republic and in the world. In the empirical part we used qualitative and quantitative research. We collected data in three randomly selected perinatal centers in the Czech Republic during the fourth quarter of 2012. The stated objectives of the study were processed using a questionnaire, content analysis of documents and methodology and regression trees. The research showed that all of the top centers have similar level of child care. However, there are significant differences in nutrition and ways of feeding the children and nursing care. The study showed that child nutrition at discharge from hospital is different, and this may have an impact on the later development of the child, as evidenced by other studies. Differences in nursing care most relevant to the proper and effective education of the mothers, which both can be observed from the investigation, have the greatest impact on the type of diet at the end of the hospitalization of the infant.

Development of Logistics centers in Czech Republic and Slovakia
Mihoková, Andrea ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
The contribution of diploma thesis is to clarify what the logistics center actually is, its function, role, providing services and bringing benefits not only to economic but also non-economic entities in its vicinity. Start of construction of logistics centers occurred in the Czech Republic and Slovakia at different times, which could be caused by many different factors, but we can simply say that the construction was started with the arrival of foreign investors in the market and lack of storage and distribution network here in the meantime occurring. Central European market is still due to relatively cheap labor attractive place for the construction of logistics centers for investors, because of this there is still the ongoing construction. Market Characteristics of Czech Republic and Slovakia is primarily focused on describing the situation in both markets, layout of logistics centers in countries and also the performance of developers operating in the market. Development of the construction of logistics centers in both markets can be divided roughly into three periods-the pre-crisis known as boom years, a period of financial crisis and post-crisis period marked as the revival phase.

Implementation of the Standard IEEE 802.11ah for Transmitting M2M Data
Masár, Marek ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the implementation of standard IEEE 802.11ah into network simulator NS-3. The first part of the diploma thesis describes M2M communication for which the standard IEEE 802.11ah would be suitable. M2M communication is being more and more used in the society, that is why there is an effort to develop a new standard for this type of communication. The thesis contains a description of this standard based on technical specifications brought out by the Task Group ah (TGah). Some changes have been made in NS-3 for the purpose of this thesis in order to support this standard. In the next part there is a created scenario with basic topology in NS-3 with usage of standard IEEE 802.11ah, in which the functionality of the standard is tested. The result of this diploma thesis is a description of the changes which have been made and analysis of the output files from the simulation.
