Povrchová aktivita osmi běžných druhů chvostoskoků ve smrkových lesích a na pasekách po kůrovcové kalamitě v Národním parku Šumava, Česká republika
Brůhová, Jindřiška ; Rusek, Josef
Surface activity of eight common epigeic species of Collembola were studied in spruce forests, dead spruce forests and clearings in the Šumava National Park, South Bohemia, Czech Republic: .i.Lepidocyrtus lignorum, Leidocyrus cyaneus, Pogonognathellus longicornis, Tomocerus minutus, Tetracanthella stachi, Allacma fusca, Entomobrya nivalis, Dicyrtomina minuta./i.. Five pitfall traps were exposed at each of the 9 sites in the summer and autumn periods to study the impact of spruce forest die-off after bark beetle attack (dead forests) and on clearings. Material comprising 79435 specimens was evaluated in this study using the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test for comparing Collembola activity between the sites and seasons. Complete linkage (Euclidean distances) cluster analysis was used for comparing the collembolan activity in all nine sites.

Title: Monitoring Students' Physical Activity at Omska's Gymnasium. Purpose: Measure the physical activity level of students at Omska's Gymnasium to determine if the average student meets the prescribed physical standards. Tasks: study the literatura chaose appropriate measurement concepts for evaluating physical activity - take measurements using pedometers - define the research sample monitor through the use of pedometers and informal interviews perform statistical data analysis - compare and contrast the collected data against the theory Methods: The information collected, through the use of pedometers and supporting informal interviews, provided an overview of how students spend their free time and of their nutritional habits. Results: The results proved that the average value of the steps did not reach the prescribed standards. Keywords: physical activity, physical activity of children, prescribed limits, steps

Progress, outcome, future scenarios and threats of multilateral trading system (WTO)
Kozáková, Michaela ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Trojanová, Kamila (referee)
This diploma thesis aims to set a complex view on the current process of multilateral trade agreements under the World Trade Organization and point out the direction of DOHA negotiations. The emphasis is put on the Tenth Ministerial Conference, which took place in Nairobi in December 2015. Stances and demands of the WTO member are analysed step by step. The thesis considers threats that possibly come from plurilateral, bilateral and regional agreements and evaluate a potential risk for the multilateral trading system. For this purpose, the thesis is divided into four chapters. First chapter examine theoretical introduction to WTO and particularly to Development Doha Agenda, which is important for subsequent understanding of actual issues. Second part analyses in detail the negotiations in main negotiating parts of DDA before and after a summer break. Following chapter fluently continues with analyse of the progress after summer break and points out some current questions about preparations for MC10 and expectations. Space is also given to the MC10 and its outcomes. Finally, the last chapter gives a thought to future scenarios concerning function of the WTO.

Children and Advertising
Hettešová, Kristína ; Horová, Olga (advisor) ; Tahal, Radek (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of advertising to children. It aims to evaluate the extent of children's exposure to advertising on television, to analyse instruments used in this kind of advertisements and products presented in them. The thesis also aims to find out the opinion of parents on the subject, their view of the influence of advertising on children and the impact their children have on their parents' purchasing decisions. The theoretical part contains the definition of advertising and other terms connected with this topic, the qualification of the children as target audience followed up with specification of individual age categories and the most impactful instruments in different ages. The practical part consists of two parts. The first one deals with own research of advertisements directed at children on television, the second one deals with the questionnaire answered by parents.

Determining of the basic skills of preschool children in the village with less than 2,000 inhabitants
KOCOUREK, Petr
This Bachelor?s thesis is aimed at the assessment of the level of the basic motor abilities and skills of preschool children in a municipality with less than 2,000 inhabitants. The research took place in a kindergarten in the municipality of Radomyšl in June 2011. Forty-eight children, i.e. twenty-nine girls and nineteen boys, participated in the measurement. They were further divided by their age into groups of children younger than four years, four-year-old, five-year-old and older than six years. Data on the children?s body height and weight were collected. Then the BMI values were calculated. For motor testing, the following selected tests were used: 20 metres run, throwing a ball from a place with right and left hands and standing long jump. The found out results were evaluated and then compared with the project ?Growth and motor performance of preschool children? of 2010, and then with a research of 1977 called ?Physical and movement development of children from four to six years in Bohemia, Moravia and in the Middle Slovakian Region?.

The tax system reduces motivation to return to work among mothers with young children: recommendations and evaluation
Šatava, Jiří
In the Czech Republic, the overall taxation of work, i.e individuals' income tax together with social security and health insurance contributions, places a heavy burden even on the relatively low earnings of so-called second earners in households, i.e. partners with lower earnings. These peoples' work activity is, however, generally very sensitive to the level of taxation. A large group of these earners is made up of mothers with young children. Mothers who are the second earner in their household are subject to a participation tax rate (PTR) up to 30 % higher than their partners, and yet a higher PTR results in lower motivation to work. Women with children and low earning potential are subjected to the highest PTRs in comparison with their partners.

Effects of trees and water table level on vegetation of two bogs in Šumava Mountains
VICHEROVÁ, Eliška
Effects of trees and water table level on vegetation of two bogs in Šumava Mountains was studied. One of them, Blatenská slať, is a pristine mire, the second one, Schachtenfilz, was drained at the end of the nineteenth century. 143 relevés (1m2) in two transects were sampled at Schachtenfilz, 45 relevés in one transect were sampled at the Blatenská slať in summer 2008. The level of water table depth was measured and influence of trees was estimated for each of the sample plots. Methods of direct and indirect gradient analysis were used for evaluation of results. The occurrence of trees had greater effect on vegetation than the water table depth, however both factors had significant effect on species composition. They are correlated and together explain a similar amount of variability as is explained by the first DCA axis. Therefore, trees and water table depth are probably the most important factors, which affect the species composition at both localities. The vegetation differs significantly between these two localities and the response of the same species at both localities is slightly different because of the different breadth of their realized niche.

Osteoporosis, osteopenia and motoric activity
Brožová, Kamila ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Matoulek, Martin (referee)
The aim of the work was to evaluate the impact of physical activity on the bone health. There is some evidence that exercise-induced gains in bone mass in children are maintained into adulthood, suggesting that physical activity habits during childhood may have long- lasting benefits on bone health. During adulthood, the primary goal of physical activity should be to maintain bone mass. The age- related decline in bone mineral density is attenuated and the relative risk for fracture is reduced in people who are physically active. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
