A proposal of power plant with steam engine.
Peterka, Lubomír ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
The final thesis deals with the heating plant with piston steam engine design according to heat consumption background in the location of Velky Karlov and with the design of a heating scheme including its explicit parameters. Further on it deals with the possibilities of the heating plant output regulation and with the solution of natural gas and biomass heating plant operations aside the heating period.

Balancer Unit Dynamics of Diesel In-line Four-cylinder Engine
Dítě, Jan ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
Subjekt of this diploma thesis is createing of 3D model of a balancing shafts and a dynamic model of the balancing shaft and needle roller or plain bearings. To decide from the results of dynamic analysis in MBS (Multi-Body-System), which type of bearing is the best for storage the balancing shaft in the engine Zetor type series III.

Cranktrain of two-cylinder spark ignition engine for small car
Schwarzbier, Pavel ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on cranktrain of two-cylinder spark ignition engine. Aim of this thesis is the following sequence. Comparing various construction configurations, choosing the best concept, balancing inertial forces of reciprocating and revolving masses and theirs moments within this concept and finally checking the torsion stress.

Dynamic and stability properties of an aeroelastic model
Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozánek, Jan ; Veselý, Jan
Frequency modal and damping characteristics of an aeroelastic model designed for experiments in the wind tunnel are studied. Based on the experimental modal analysis the structural mass damping and stiffnes matrices of the model are determined by identification procedures. The stability boundaries, i.e. the critical flow velocity for the flutter instability of the model were measured in the wind tunnel.

Experimentální stanovení Magnusova koeficientu rotačně se pohybující kulové částice
Lukerchenko, Nikolay ; Kharlamov, Alexander ; Kvurt, Y. ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Vlasák, Pavel
The Magnus force coefficient was determined from comparison of theoretical and experimental trajectory of rotating spherical particle falling in calm water. Theoretical trajectories of the particle were calculated using 2D numerical model of the rotating spherical particle moving in fluid and the proper value of the Magnus force coefficient was established from condition of the best fitting of the experimental trajectory by the calculated one. The mutual influence of the translational and rotational movements was described.

The Flow Fiel in the Entrance Part of a Winf Tunnel
Hofer, Tomáš ; Šafařík, Pavel ; Luxa, Martin
The aim of this work was to apply the numerical simulation of the flow into the design process of the nozzle in order to verify the quality of the design. The numerical simulation was carried out using the Fluent 6.1 solver. The mesh was prepared using the pre-processor Gambit 2.0.

Approximation of the intermittency factor distribution at bypass boundary layer transition
Jonáš, Pavel ; Mazur, Oton ; Uruba, Václav
The distribution of the imtermittency factor is discussed in the case of boundary layer by-pass transition. The approximation of Narasimha is modified for the case when the intermittency distribution does not start from zero value at the location of the transition start.

Bridge on a motorway
Lindtner, Tomáš ; Řehulka, Martin (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
The subject of Diploma’s thesis is the design of a road bridge on the R1 expressway, at km 1,293 above the road III/51311. The main content is static calculation of supporting structure consisting of four spans. Four studies were processed and the first variant of double-girder monolithic structure was chosen. The range of spans is ranging from 25 m - 30 m. Double-girder consists of two post-tensioned concrete beams and reinforced concrete slab. Static models and load effects are solved in Scia Engineer. Bridge is located in the horizontal curvature, however, compromise was elected (because of small curvature), assessing the upright design. Calculation is made without effects of temperature, wind loads and horizontal forces causing by traffic.
