Social Work in Hospital - Used Methods and Techniques
MRÁČKOVÁ, Iva
The thesis deals with the issue of social work in a hospital. Social work in health care is a sphere where health care is combined with social care and is an inseparable part of therapeutic and nursing process. The aim was to map the methods and techniques of social work used in the České Budějovice Hospital. Three research questions were set: 1. What methods and techniques does a social worker apply to work with a patient? 2. What social help is most frequently used by patients in hospital? 3. Are patients informed on social care possibilities after discharge from hospital? Quantitative research, questioning method, the technique of semi structured interview was performed to reach the goals of the thesis. The research was conducted from March to June 2012. The practical research was performed in direct cooperation with social workers from the České Budějovice Hospital and with clients that had been discharged to home environment after being hospitalized in the České Budějovice Hospital and used social services after discharge. The research has shown that social workers apply the most suitable methods to the social work process and use the most modern procedures in solving unfavourable social situation, including the approach to a client. Clients have the possibility to get in touch with a social worker in hospital and to use her assistance in mitigation or elimination of negative social impacts of illness.

Impact of digital imaging on practical work of radiographer
MAREK, David
The submitted bachelor{\crq}s paper deals with the impact of digital imaging on the practical activity of a radiological assistant. In 2006, I participated in a professional seminar held by the AURA-GROUP company, which focused on digitalization of modalities in the health service. This topic seemed to be so interesting for me that I decided to find out what their experience were and what the comparison of the analogue and digital imaging would be like from the point of view of assistants working in practice and to find out more about requirements concerning a radiological assistant{\crq}s work both under the analogue and under the digital operation. In the theoretical section, the principle of X-rays is provided together with a small excursion into the history and the method of analogue and digital imaging and current methods of archiving as well. In this section, the current state of radiology is surveyed and the principles of the individual methods, their advantages and disadvantages together with future prospective are described here as well. In the practical section, I decided to verify the hypothesis that the digital imaging is more valuable in practice that the analogue one. Within the framework of quantitative methodology, the method of fact-finding through questionnaire was used. This questionnaire was presented to employees of radiological departments and the results were subsequently statistically processed and evaluated. The research sample was set up from employees working in the radiological departments in the hospitals in České Budějovice and Český Krumlov. For the purposes of this research, I made no difference as far as the individual age categories or educational background or any other criteria are concerned. This means that this selection was not limited in any way and it has, in my opinion, sufficient support both from the theory and practice and thus it has a sufficient testifying value with respect to the knowledge and experience of the radiological assistants subject to the research. The results of this work confirmed the respective hypothesis and it was demonstrated that digitalization has positive impact on practical activity of a radiological assistant for the purpose of post-processing adjustments, X-ray images archiving using the PACS system, and the fact that there is no need of the so-called wet process is particularly beneficial as well. In the summary, we should also see economic advantages, as they are one of The most important criteria for development of new methods of activities in the field of health care at the present time. The fact that the digital method of imaging saves costs relating to films, chemical substances, archiving capacities (rooms and staff) brings substantial savings, which may be utilized for example for the purchase of technologically advanced equipment.

Applying a market analysis to a real estate appraisal
Majzlíková, Eva ; Heřman, Jan (advisor) ; Zeman, Karel (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on a market analysis of a selected segment of a residential market and subsequently estimates the value of a real property from that segment. The aim of this work is to apply the analysis's conclusions to the appraisal of a family house and assess the extent in which the administrative value of the house approximates its market value. The introductory part explains the most important concepts and methods used. The core part is divided into two parts -- market analysis and the appraisal itself. The market analysis is based on a top-down method that first concentrates on a macroeconomic situation of the economy and then on a selected segment of the real estate market. Value of a chosen real property -- a family house -- is estimated using four different methods: administrative costs approach, administrative comparison approach, reproduction costs approach (market based) and sales comparison approach. In its conclusion the thesis evaluates current perspectives of family houses' market and based on results of methods used estimates the final market value of the chosen real estate.

The nurse s role in the context of preventive examinations in the office of general practitioner for children and adolescents
TRUČKOVÁ, Zdeňka
Primary care in the health sector is an important part of an effective and functional health care system of every country. It represents the key factor for maintaining good health of the Czech Republic population. It is mainly the pediatricians and pediatric nurses who are irreplacable in their role. They provide health care for children along with assisting with the acquirement of correct habits in taking care of one's health to ensure a long and good quality life. Health education is of great significance especially with children and youth where appropriate monitoring of their health state and development is a necessary precondition for them to embark successfully on their journey of life. The main aim of the thesis is to determine the role of nurses in routine checkups of children and youth and to describe the content and rules of these checkups according to the Czech legislation. Another goal is to describe, based on legislative sources, the changing role of the pediatric nurse since 1990.Firstly, it was necessary to trace down the development of the discipline by means of changes in the legislation. Secondly, the reflection of these changes in professional literature was captured, primarily with respect to prevention. The crucial, concluding part of the paper focuses on how the above mentioned factors affect the form of routine checkups and the nurse's role in them. It also mentions important particulars of routine checkups, such as vaccination, monitoring psychomotor development, or assessing nourishment. The research paper is composed as a theoretical review thesis. For the purpose of the bachelor thesis, qualitative research survey has been used employing the method of secondary analysis of relevant sources. It is a systematic own research with bibliographical sources. After an analysis of the obtained data their synthesis followed, then comparation and assessment. Bibliographial research on the studied issues is based on scientific publications and Czech legislation. The bachelor thesis describes the changing role of the pediatric nurse since the initial phases of nursing care, the way pediatric nurses have been trained and what their role has been in primary preventive pediatric care and education on health. Furthermore, it deals with the changing competence and image of the pediatric nurse. Cooperation with the pediatrician is crucial, as well as building a relationship with both the child and the parents. Act no. 96/2004 Coll., on paramedical jobs, specifies the conditions for gaining and recognizing the competence to perform paramedical jobs and imposes the obligation for lifelong learning. The responsibilities and competence of the pediatric nurse to perform the specialized job is given in Decree no. 55/2011 Coll. of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, on the activities of medical staff and other specialized workers. This decree enables nurses to assume higher competence which entails higher quality and expertness of the job and therefore a requirement for specialized professional and higher education of the nurses. The particular activities of the pediatric nurse are defined by § 51 of the Decree no. 424/2004 Coll., on the activities of medical staff and other specialized workers. In the general practice of a pediatrician, the pediatric nurse provides complex medical treatment, preventive and therapeutic care to children from birth until the age of 19. Routine checkups of children and youth are defined legislatively by Decree no. 70/2012 Coll., on routine checkups. It delineates the content and schedule of the routine checkups of children and youth. Mandatory vaccination is part of the routine checkups. The significance of the routine checkups of children and youth is often underrated by the general public.

The theory of nuclear physics for radiological assistants
ŠIMKOVÁ, Kamila
Currently there is not freely available any simple educational text on the subject of nuclear physics foundations, which would be adequate to the knowledge of students in the field of Radiology Assistant and other related fields. Study materials that are commonly used are mere transcripts of a scientific knowledge which needs to be adjusted by the presenter in order to be correctly understood by students within the stipulated time. The need for defining an educational version of a nuclear physics for Radiology Assistant resulted in preparation and submission of this thesis. During the process several objectives emerged: - create awaited, projected and implemented curriculum (create comprehensible educational text and verify its adequacy) on the subject of nuclear physics foundations for Radiology Assistant - verify the suitability of the project curriculum using the experimental teaching followed by subsequent verification with questionnaire survey - apply methods of descriptive statistics and mathematical statistics This thesis was based on two hypotheses verification. 1st hypothesis: By application of curricular process theory and developing appropriate educational text can be processed theoretical foundations of nuclear physics for Radiology Assistants. 2nd hypothesis: Knowledge of Radiology Assistants in the field of theoretical foundations of nuclear physics obtained from drawn up educational text will have distribution near to the normal distribution. Contribution of the thesis is the elaborated educational text and test that can be used for teaching theoretical foundations of nuclear physics. After evaluation of individual questions in the test, can be recommended to focus on students' knowledge in those areas where lower scores were achieved.

Magnetic Resonance and its Electromagnetic Essence
MOLÁKOVÁ, Markéta
This fact is reflected in the aims of the thesis, which lie in using the Curricular Process Theory and the already researched quantum dimension of magnetic resonance for defining the electromagnetic foundation of magnetic resonance in such a form that would be suitable for students of "Radiology assistant" and other related programs. Considering the set aims and the use of applied quantitative research, the thesis presents the following hypotheses: 1) It is possible to create an educational text for students of "Radiology assistant" and related study programs by applying the Curricular Process Theory. 2) The distribution of respondents' knowledge will have a theoretical distribution similar to the normal distribution. First, it was necessary to analyse the current state of research on the subject of "Electromagnetic foundation of magnetic resonance for radiology assistants" based on the Curricular Process Theory. The present study examines the Electromagnetic Field Theory, especially the description and deduction of Maxwell's four equations for electromagnetic field, defines mathematical operators needed for describing Maxwell's equations, describes the causes of changes in electric and magnetic fields (wells and vortices), and also mathematically proves that the electromagnetic field spreads in the air a s a wave. Then, it was needed to adjust the form of these physical facts to students of "Radiology assistant" and other related study programs. It resulted in creating a simple educational text (see Appendix 1), whose suitability for the educational target group was verified by a statistical evaluation. Consequently, the first hypothesis that it is possible to create an educational text for students of "Radiology assistant" and related study programs by applying the Curricular Process Theory was confirmed. The functionality of the educational text was verified by an experimental seminar. The seminar was organised for the students of "Radiology assistant" study program at The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and it was accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation. The students who did not participate in the seminar were sent the educational text (and test) in the electronic form. In order to verify the knowledge gained during the experimental seminar and from the educational text, the defined electromagnetic foundation (educational text) was reflected in a test with 13 questions with four alternative options for each there was only one correct option for each question. The test was taken by respondents and the results were statistically evaluated. The type of research used in the thesis is applied quantitative research. The verification of the hypotheses was based on the use of appropriate methods of descriptive and mathematical statistics as well as the use of non-parametric testing, the so called Pearson Chi-Square test (Goodness of Fit). On the whole, 35 tests were processed. Empirical frequency distributions obtained by scoring the tests were matched with the so called Gaussian distribution. Thanks to the use of non-parametric testing, it was possible to confirm the second hypothesis that the distribution of respondents' knowledge will have a theoretical distribution similar to the normal distribution. Therefore, the statistical evaluation confirmed that the educational text is suitable for the needs and possibilities of the respondents and their knowledge distribution is close to the normal distribution. The acquired results show that the knowledge of the respondents was in agreement with the expected assumption of the normal distribution.

System of aid in material distress and its motivational elements
KOZINA, Martin
The thesis is focused on the system of assistance in material need and on the motivational elements of that system. The first part of the thesis defines basic concepts like poverty, material need, social security and system of assistance in material need and it informs about purpose of that system. The thesis then analyzes the method of assessing the state of material need and the individual benefits from the system of assistance in material need. In the analysis the elements further marked as motivational elements are described. Subsequently the thesis explains the addiction to benefits of assistance in material need and the sources of dependence on welfare benefits. In conclusion motivation elements of system of assistance in material need are demonstrated by comparing their stance before year 2012 with the year after and by comparing present motivation elements with sources of social welfare models.
