Education of patients with ulcerative colitis
VEČEŘOVÁ, Iva
My bachelor thesis focused on " Education of patients with ulcerative colitis " has been split in theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part has been focused on characteristicsof ulcerative colitis and education. This part has been split in nine chapters. The chapters describe anatomy and physiology of colon, definition of the disease, its causes, symptoms and complications. Furthermore, the chapters have been focused on examination methods and treatment of ulcerative colitis and nursing care. The last chapter of the theoretical part has been devoted to education. There were two aims defined for the bachelor thesis; to describe methods of educating the clients suffering from ulcerative colitis and to determine efficiency of education for a patient suffering from ulcerative colitis (in the course of 3 months after the first education). Based on the specified aims, three investigation questions were asked. What is the effect of the suggested education on health status of a client suffering from ulcerative colitis? Does observance of diet measures affect relapse of the disease? How do reasonable physical strain and psychical stress affect the disease? The practical part of the thesis has been processed through qualitative research. The research was made with respondents with the diagnoses of ulcerative colitis and with nurses who work at gastroenterologic ward in the hospital in České Budějovice, a.s. The research was split in three parts. The first part included interviewing of eight respondents with the diagnoses of ulcerative colitis. The interview was semi-structured. This included eighteen questions focused on the progress of the disease, education of the respondent, diet measures and influence of physical strain and psychical stress on the disease. Then, each respondent was educated through the education. The second part included interviewing of three nurses from gastroenterologic ward in the hospital in České Budějovice, a.s. The interview was semi-structured, too. It included sixteen questions which are very similar to allow better comparison with the patients. The third part was focused on check of knowledge and efficiency of former education of three respondents. This was a structured interview. It included five questions. These were focused on present status of the disease, evaluation of observance and efficiency of the low-residue diet and the basis of mental hygiene. The interviews were taken in calm home environment. Results of the research showed that the respondents have lack of information most frequently in the field of physical strain and psychical stress and often in the field of low-residue diet. However, the respondents are mainly well-educated about the definition of the disease and about treatment. In my opinion, my bachelor thesis is helpful because it has proven that correct education may have positive effect on the progress of the disease. The thesis might be also used as education material and it might help improve education of clients with the diagnoses of ulcerative colitis.

Kapilárně elektroforetické stanovení D-serinu
Koval, Dušan ; Jirásková, Jana ; Stříšovský, Kvido ; Konvalinka, Jan ; Kašička, Václav
A capillary zone electrophoresis method was developed for determination of D-serine in the presence of L-serine, convenient for screening studies, such as testing of activity of serine racemase inhibitors.

Assessment of aroma active compounds in chosen fruit types
Rodzíková, Martina ; Vespalcová, Milena (referee) ; Vítová, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of aroma active compounds in less known berries, gooseberries. In the theoretical part the general characteristics, biological signs and properties of selected varieties, chemical composition and structure of the components, drug effects, the possibility of processing and use of gooseberries are mainly described. The main aim of this thesis was to determine aroma active substances in selected varieties of gooseberry fruits using SPME-GC method. Aroma active compounds were first extracted by solid-phase microextraction and then assessed by gas chromatography.

Optimization of Manufacturing and Assembling Technology of the Valve Bolt
Hrouzková, Andrea ; Zapletal, Josef (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis aimed to study the impact of manufacturing and assembly technology, the valve bolt fitted to diesel high pressure pump CP3 in the Bosch, which has been found to leak. As experimental material was chosen heat treated bolts M16x1,5 made of material 12 050th. Groups of samples were produced in two ranges hardness. Experimental determination of the optimum range of hardness was assessed on the basis of the results of the process of the screw and set the value of plastic deformation of the sealing surfaces of the parts. Experimental section also deals with the analysis of bearing surfaces on the pump and the components, after the screw process. To some extent, is observed as surface treatment

Cavitation assessment from flow rate drop and high-frequency pressure pulsations.
Šebek, Miloš ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
Main issue of this master´s thesis deals with high-frequency pulsations caused by cavitating hydraulic components (in this case nozzle and throttle valve). In first measurement on the nozzle was not a high-frequency sensor set in the way, so the evaluation was incorrect. After re-setting of the way was the nozzle measured again and the pulsations were evaluated correct this time. During the last measurement was the sensor located behind the throttle valve, which was with gradual opening and cavitation treatment measured. Resulting dependencies worked out on time dependence. A special mathematical method, Fourier transformation, was used. It transformed pressure amplitudes into frequency dependence. Evaluation of dependecies is the basic step for frequency band assesment, in which the cavitation on particular components happens.

Polarized Radiative Transfer in Solar Atmosphere
Štěpán, Jiří ; Heinzel, Petr (advisor) ; Degĺ Innocenti, Egidio Landi (referee) ; Bueno, Javier Trujillo (referee)
The adequate theoretical models of the NLTE radiative transfer are needed for interpretation of the complicated spectra emerging from the magnetized solar atmosphere. In the first part of the thesis, the quantum theory of polarization is reviewed along with the problem of NLTE radiative transfer of the 2nd kind. A general notation for a numerical treatment of the atomic density matrix is introduced. A lambda-operator splitting technique is presented and used for development of a novel preconditioning method analogous to the Jacobi iteration algorithm. Number of processes is taken into account: atomic polarization, level-crossings, Paschen-Back effect, Hanle and Zeeman effects, optical pumping, collisional (de)polarization. A nonlinear multigrid technique is developed in the framework of polarized radiative transfer theory and the eficiency of the method is discussed. The potential of this new solver is demonstrated on an example of transfer of the optically thick line of a multiterm atom in the Paschen-Back effect regime. In the second part of the thesis, the particular problem of impact polarization of the hydrogen H-alpha line in solar flares is considered. The semi-empirical models of the flaring chromosphere are used to find the differential effects of the proton beam on the line intensity and linear...
