This work discusses about issues of investment decision, which is crucial for every business. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the effectiveness of selected investment project. To assess the potential of this investment, was necessary to assess the current status, whether the enterprise has enough resources to finance this intensive investment. Whether the project is not associated with an increase in the financial risk of the company. Then were identified revenues and expeditures of the project.It was finally in the evaluation of the effectiveness of investments carried out an analysis of the risk of the project.

Currency risk hedging demonstrated on investment portfolios

This bachelor thesis is focused on currency hedging in investment portfolio. At first are explained the terms currency risk and currency exposure and then the instruments for currency hedging are described. In the practical part of this thesis is reader acquainted with the crown class and the dollar class of US equity mutual fund. Yields are analysed in short and long term as well as with long and short term risk. The description of the hedging technique is also included in practical part. The last chapter is dedicated to questions, when is suitable to be hedged and how to find the ideal hedge ratio for minimizing the currency risk. Considered is also the possibility of using currency movements as an element of investment strategy.

Production KAIZEN Application

Theoretical part of this diploma thesis describe Kaizen method and parts of this method, which was developed in Japan after the Second World War. One part of this method is the 3MU concept, that includes definition of absences which influence all companies. One concept of the 3MU is “Muda”, who indicate waste. Practical part is interesting in wastes in sphere of productivity at one of the production department of the Bosch Diesel Ltd. in Jihlava. Individual operations of this department are considered in light of possibility introduction of more-machine operation and the checking of necessity of some machines. As a result is time data evaluation by REFA method and check of possibility introduction of more-machine operation with modification of working processes, calculation of industrial production capacity of some machines and the definition of buffer stocks. This modification of working processes, number of machines and the definition of buffer stocks needs change of layout of production department. At the conclusion there are calculated final costs and savings for implementation of this project.

Design of Pick-up magazine for heavy milling heads

The aim of this thesis is to propose solutions to difficult conveyor NC milling head, the machine produced in CKD Blansko type SKD 63/70D. Movement lies in moving from the parking position to the plunger, where the head harness. Solutions include calculations to those proposals, select the most appropriate solutions and selected drawings.

Kidney Transplantation in Theological-Ethical Reflexion

In my diploma work i tried to valued transplant in a christiant (religious) point of view. My essay (diploma work) is consisit of (devided to) two parts - medical part, in which I have written about individual steps made before the exact transplant and I also explained what are the benefits and negatives of transplant. In the first part I also included law issues of transplant in Czech legislation, about the difficulty to donate the organ, perhaps the risk of the individual donors. I described the criteria of death from medical and ethical point of view. In a second part(teological) I have written about the value of the transplant from the ethical point of view, the religious side (reflexion) it means till when the human being is still considered as a person whose dignity has to be (needs to be) respected and whether the human autonomia is the ethical password. From the religious point of view (side) does not exist objection against volunteery transplant donors. Donor transplant is morally accepted with agreement of the donors themself and without excessive (enourmous) risks included. The purpose of th death of the individual is diagnosed (found out) first before the transplant can be donated. The possibility of the donation (transplant) abuse is the organs selling market. Theoretical part includes overview of possible ways using alternative energy sources, especially solar energy and energy environment - heat pumps. Partical part is devoted to solution of environmental-friendly heating and heating warm water for family house using solar system. The proposal is documented with economic evaluation and calculation of economic return.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of company´s performance using the economic ratios and time series. Firstly it was created the easily operating application - maplet, due to the Maple computer system, for the corresponding calculation and graphical projection. The thesis contains the proposals and suggestions for the improvement of financial company´s situation, what is included in the calculations and projections mentioned and they can next be used for the changes of planned strategies in future.

Automatic equipment for production of ceramic molds

The theme of this thesis is the engineering design of the automaton for the ceramic moulds production for the shell casting technology. In the first part of the thesis I occupy with the design of the mechanical part of the machine including the kinematic, dynamic and strength calculations of the chosen engineering compositions and components. In the next part of the thesis I design the control part of the machine.

NOx reduction in flue gas

My master´s thesis deals with the problems of NOx abatement that are included in flue gas. The accent is put on flue gases treatment throug cloth filter or ceramic candles, where the deposited catalyst enables NOx reduction throug the method of selective cytalytic reduction. In thesis is also describe experimental unit which current remove gaseous pollutants (dioxin, VOC and NOX) and ash on catalytic cloth filter or catalytic ceramic candles. For experimental unit has been calculated pressure drop. Pressure drop has been calculated for nominal and maximal conditions for cloth filter and ceramic candle. Last part of thesis deals with compile a experimental schemes for different concentration of NO, flow and temperature of combustion.
