The hazards of soil pollutants and their effects on the human health

Good soil condition belongs to the basic requirements of well-ballanced environment. That is why the soil has to correspond to hygienic requirements and be protected against substances harmful to human health, e.g. toxic materials, germs of transmissible illnesses and parasites. The most common cause of soil contamination is anthropogenic incidence. Contaminated soil belongs to waste and has to be removed in a proper way. is A special way of waste removal is soil decontamination. Its goal is to remove harmful substances and regain the original use of the soil.

Řízení lidí v multikulturním prostředí

The main objective of the thesis was to define and analyze key aspects of managerial work in multicultural environment, in one of the Shared Services Center department, of multinational company based in Prague, Czech Republic. Further thesis aimed to define essential competencies of the successful manager and leader driving performance of multicultural department and provides recommendations to improve managerial performance in key aspects of manager s work such as communication, motivation, performance management and cross-cultural leadership. It is argued that presence of intercultural interactions between managers and their subordinates, impacts effectiveness of the managerial performance. Thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. First part of the thesis explores theoretical concepts regarding culture, communication, motivation and leadership with respect to multicultural environment specifics. In the second part, used research methods, conducted research analysis and outcomes are presented. Further in practical part recommendation towards analyzed aspects of managerial work that would lead to higher overall department performance are defined.

The Effects of the New Deal on the social status of Afro-Americans in selected sectors of the US economy

This bachelor thesis deals with the effects of the New Deal legislation on Afro-Americans in the 1930s. Specifically, the thesis analytically focuses on the influence of various politician of this program on their social environment within the US economy. For the ease of understanding of whole issue is needed to know the situation of Afro-Americans in the previous decade as well as in the Great Depression. That is the content of the first two chapters. Subsequently there is the outline of the situation leading to the election of F. D. Roosevelt, US President. The last and as well the most important chapter of the whole thesis is devoted to analysis of individual programs and their impact on Afro-Americans. It concludes that the New Deal had both positive and negative influence on this minority, depending on the economic sector and the relevant administration. New Deal generally meant a huge progress in their economic and political affairs.

Integration of Children and Youth with Mental Disabilities within the framework of Free-time Activities with a special view to the Scouting Movement

Thema of this thesis is integration of childrens with mental handicap into their leisure time. Especially it is focused to their integration into the scout group. The goal is to show one of the possibilities how childrens with mental handicap can spent their leisure time in the environment of intact peers. In theoretical section is definition of terms like integration and leisure time, their basic description and approach. In following section is short summary of question about mental retardation. It is focused on Down syndrom and autism. These questions are related to cases in practical section. Empirie section is presenting results of survey which was applied to scout leaders. This survey is about approach to integration, their experiences and practical options. Thesis continue with case study of two scout departments where were implemented two childrens with mental handicap. Information, especially from practical section, should help to improve possibilities of integration childrens with handicap into their leisure time.

Olga Krijtova

This theses focuses on Olga Krijtova (1931-2013), Czech translator from Dutch. The aim is to introduce Olga Krijtova within the framework of reception of Dutch literature in Czech cultural environment. In order to explore this framework, the thesis compares Czech and Dutch culture from translatological point of view, outlines the history of Czech-Dutch relationshiops and Dutch literary translations into Czech, as well as the history and current state of the academic discipline of Dutch studies. In the 20th century, Olga Krijtova had contributed greatly to making the Dutch literature available for Czech recipients. The thesis aims to find out how many translations done between the years 1957-2016 are Krijtova's or her students' work. Further, it summarizes her teaching and linguistic work. However, the main focus is her translation activities, which is studied by means of translation analysis in the second part of the thesis. The final aim is to review and interpret Krijtova's translation strategies and methods, as well as to assess her overall contribution to the reception of Dutch literature within the Czech environment and to the Dutch studies in the Czech Republic. Criminality of children and youth

The work deals with youth and children crime. It is concentrated on crime as a whole, it defines the most important terms related to the topic. It points out probable roots of that pathological phenomenon and looks for possible measures leading to its reduction. Considering the field of study, i. e. Pedagogy, a part of the work will be aimed at children's primary social environment, i.e. family and school. Attention will be paid to crime prevention and its categories. Finally, case studies will prove that family, school, education and training are the most important factors forming young people and influencing their behaviour.

The role and differences of traditional international trade centers

The thesis discusses the differences and the role of the traditional centers of international trade. It is conducted through comparative analysis of the two ports in the open and closed economy - Rotterdam and Alexandria. In the first chapter, that is based on the theoretical and analytical frame, are specified the relevant facts and empirical findings in the field of international trade, centers of the international trade and maritime transport. The second chapter named Characterization and comparison of national economies deeper investigates the environment in which are the selected ports located. Chapter three and four deal with the Rotterdam respectively Alexandria in the detail view consisting of a historical context, profile and description of the port, the commodity structure, current development, future plans, related industrial regions and areas. The last chapter contains a comparison of the Rotterdam and Alexandria, including SWOT analysis.

Czech business environment from the perspective of Italian entrepreneurs

The final thesis deals with the topic "Czech business environment from the perspective of Italian entrepreneurs." It is divided into three chapters. The first chapter covers the business environment in general and evaluates the position of the Czech Republic in various competitiveness rankings or reports. The second chapter describes the Czech business environment -- its state and development from 1989 to the present and evaluates the Czech business environment using the PEST analysis. The last chapter is purely practical and outlines the view of Italian entrepreneurs on the Czech business environment, their opinions and experience gained during doing business in the Czech Republic. The whole thesis is summarized at the end in the SWOT analysis of the Czech business environment.

Mičánová, K. Crisis management in the hotel business. Diploma thesis. Brno, 2015. The diploma thesis deals with the crisis management applied in the hotel business. The main objective of this thesis is to formulate recommendations for the area of crisis management for the selected hotel. The external environment is analyzed trought PEST analysis and Porter's five forces model. Analysis of company resources is the starting point for assessment of the interal environment. According to these analysis are determined weaknesses and threats that could potentially cause a crisis situation. For these crisis situations are proposed recommendations to eliminate them.
