In the practical part of the thesis analysis of three selected merger acquisition was made, where the analysis focuses mainly on changes in ownership structures and differences from revaluation , if this event occurred. The final chapter then compares the transactions again, especially in terms of ownership structure and difference from revaluation.

Evaluation of elastic parameters for models of isolated cells
Krbálek, Jaroslav ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on computational modeling of the cell mechanical tests. The goal of this thesis is to build a cell model and to simulate compression test on this model. If necessary, the model should be adjusted so the model reflects real cell behavior. It was created the cell model reflecting cytoplasm, nucleus, membrane and cell cytoskeleton. Cytoskeleton was modeled as tensegrity structure. After this, the pressure test was simulated on this model. The behavior of the cell model and real cell was compared using the stress force. The stress force - cell deformation curve was markedly different for the cell model and the real cell. For this reason, the cytoplasm material model was adjusted. The difference between the curves was acceptable after this modification. It was found during computations that the cytoskeleton model influence on the cell load is minimal. These results does not reflects real cell behavior, which means that the model is considered inadequate for performing stress load simulation.

Transport systems used in cosmetics
Škopová, Jitka ; Kramářová,, Daniela (referee) ; Zemanová, Jana (advisor)
Between transport systems in cosmetics belong liposomes, liquid crystals and also chosen substances, which speed under given conditions a transport of active compounds, so-called accelerators of trans-dermal penetration. Liposomes are used topically (i.e. directly onto the place of their action in surface structures of organism) in dermatological and cosmetic preparations, they facilitate the penetration of active substances into the deeper layers of the skin and make possible their more expressive treatment. Some properties of liquid crystals are similar to the properties of live organisms. Analogous to the vital cells are they sensitive to light, sound, warm, mechanical straining and chemical changes. And by contraries, some scientists mark vital cells as liquid crystals. Thanks to this similarity are liquid crystals characterized by their excellent ability to penetrate by the skin, which is probably comparable only with liposomes. Accelerators of trans-dermal penetration otherwise accelerators of penetration by the skin are substances, which change structure of the skin or derma to be more permeable for other compounds. The trans-dermal penetration of active substances is an important part of medical researches. Those results are however applied also in other branches as for example is cosmetic industry. From the point of view of the chemical texture of these materials form they a very heterogeneous group and an elucidating of mechanisms of their incidence is so far rather in beginnings.

The natural seasonal changes in the food choice and digestive tract of wild ruminants
Kamler, Jiří ; Homolka, Miloslav
Herbivore populations all over Europe have been strongly influenced by human activities. A combination of harvest, changes in forest structure, supplementary feeding, predator extirpation and others factors have led in most cases to increases of their populations and a severe impact on the composition and structure of the forest vegetation. The food choice of free living ungulate species is strongly influenced by season and animal species and changes in diet composition and quality cause the changes in the digestive tract. Effective management of ungulate populations and forest ecosystems should be based not only on detailed information about the impact of deer browsing and the number of deer to harvest but also on the density of deer species, the food supply, the structure of diets consumed by individual species, attraction and quality of the individual components of food supply the total quality of food taken and seasonal changes in digestive tract.

The thesis discusses the differences and the role of the traditional centers of international trade. It is conducted through comparative analysis of the two ports in the open and closed economy - Rotterdam and Alexandria. In the first chapter, that is based on the theoretical and analytical frame, are specified the relevant facts and empirical findings in the field of international trade, centers of the international trade and maritime transport. The second chapter named Characterization and comparison of national economies deeper investigates the environment in which are the selected ports located. Chapter three and four deal with the Rotterdam respectively Alexandria in the detail view consisting of a historical context, profile and description of the port, the commodity structure, current development, future plans, related industrial regions and areas. The last chapter contains a comparison of the Rotterdam and Alexandria, including SWOT analysis.

Vliv tepelného namáhání na mechanické vlastnosti FeNiB amorfní slitiny
Zábranský, Karel ; Jirásková, Yvonna
An influence of thermal treatment in the temperature range of 150 - 350 °C on the structural and mechanical properties of an amorphous FeNiB alloy is investigated. The high tensile strength of 2200 MPa in the as-prepared amorphous state slightly decreases with increasing temperature of annealing up to approximately 200 °C in opposite to microhardness where an increase is observed. Above 200 °C a pronounced deterioration of both characteristics reflect the embrittlement of amorphous structure without any indications of crystallization.

Comparison of sequence variations in genes of biotransfromation enzymes in some carcinoma
Turková, Lucie ; Tavandzis, Spiros (referee) ; Bóday, Arpád (advisor)
Xenobiotic biotransformation process and its capacity is crucial for xenobiotic chemicals elimination that may cause damage toward cell structures. The effectiveness of the enzymes included in this process depends on the gene variants that encodes them. The aim of this work was to compare certain polymorphisms of selected genes between cases and control groups. Studied polymorphisms were null genotypes of the glutathione S-transferase gene M1 and T1 and the insertion of TA dinucleotide in the promotor region of UDP-glucuronosyl transferase 1A1. The number of cases group was six included patients with colorectal, lung, prostate, breast, pancreatic and head and neck cancer. Total number of analysed individuals was 1 118 for cancer cases and 470 for healthy controls. The control group was divided into two groups, the first one was called general and the second one was called special included healthy individuals with no cancer history in their closest family members. Gilbert syndrome (GS) is caused by homozygous insertion of the TA dinucleotide in the TATA box of the gene UGT1A1 and it causes elevated bilirubin levels. Bilirubin is a potent antioxidant in human body, so the aim was to attest its protective effect toward cancer. We expected lower frequency of GS as a protective factor in the cases groups compared with controls. This hypothesis was confirmed in the breast cancer group (GS frequency 10,0 %) and pancreatic cancer group (GS frequency 11,1 %). In the general and special control groups the frequency of GS was 16,0 % and 15,4 % respectively. Although the other case groups show lower frequency of GS, the results weren´t statistically significant. Null GSTM1 genotype was observed with 50,4 % frequency in the general control groups and with 55,3 % frequency in the special control group. Neither the one of the cases groups hasn´t showed significantly lower percentage of null genotype. Despite expectation we observed statistically significant lower frequency of null genotype in the group of lung and pancreatic cancer group (37,4 % and 39,3 % respectively). According to this study, we can say that the lack of glutathione S-transferase M1 activity is not a risk factor for cancer development. Null genotype of GSTT1 wasn´t identified in both control groups at all. In case groups of breast and prostate cancer, there was only one individual carrying the null GSTT1 genotype. Statistically significant higher frequency of this polymorphism was observed in patients with colorectal cancer (9,7 %), lung cancer (17,2 %), pancreatic cancer (3,0 %) and head and neck cancer (15,9 %). In these groups the lack of glutathion S-transferase T1 activity might be considered as risk factor for cancer development. Nevertheless, for further verification it needs to take more investigation in this field, especially enlarge the number of patient in the case groups of head and neck, lung and pancreatic cancer.
