Equal treatment of employees

The aim of this bachelor thesis has been identifying of serious problems regarding equal rights of employees, especially discrimination. Furthermore, analysing a question whether the laws, law rules of the Czech Republic and regulations and guidelines of the Europian Union focus on these problems and other facts related to them.

Post-penitentiary treatment and prevention of recidivism

RÉSUMÉ The work presented is a Master thesis completed at the Criminal law department under theLaw faculty of the Charles' University. It deals with recidivism, its causes and prerequisites of its occurrence. Preventive activities in the Czech republic are also a part of this project. Emphasis is put especially ontertiary preventive activities, namely working with people who have commited crime before. Postpenitential care plays an important role here, especially the problems of returning the convicted person into normal life. For synoptic reasons, the text also contains the overview of the Czech legal regulations, especially the standards of the criminal law. The standards of the social security law, which determine the system made by the state for people exposed to social exclusion, are also dealt with here. Apart from the national legislative, the international regulations are also mentioned here, although they are rather informal recommendations of the EU. A special chapter is devoted to Czech prison system. Conditions in Czech jails are described as well as programme set up for dealing with prisoners and also the difficulties of so called exit departments. The position of women in the labour market.

The thesis deals with the position of women in the labour market, describes the most obstacles women encounter in the labour market and offers possible solutions. The main objective of the thesis is to analyse the position of the women in the labour market, to define each notion related to discrimination, to recognize the factors that influence it and to find out the differences in remuneration of men and women. Further on, the thesis would like to approach the question if women are still more discriminated on the ground of the sex or whether the society manages to eliminate the discrimination of women thanks to the measures adopted.
The thesis is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part of the thesis the legislative adaptation is being introduced, and it presents the effort of the state to eliminate the unequal approach towards women. The thesis analyzes the existing legal regulations of the discrimination law abroad as well as in Czech legislation. Some of the basic concepts linked to the given topic are explained, e.g. equality, positive measures and equal treatment. Another section of the theoretical part deals with discrimination, its forms and variations, discrimination on the reasons of sex and the ways of how to protect oneself from discrimination. In the theoretical part the method of analysis of information sources is used based on research literature. In the practical part of the thesis two ways of questioning are used. The first research method is a structured questionnaire in a form of a standard written questionnaire. A selected group of people is questioned to say their opinion on the given issue. The second investigation is done in a maneuvered interview with the respondents of the first questioning form, based on the prepared set of questions. The last part of the thesis elaborates the results of the research and draws the conclusions from these. Each question has a graph showing the results of the analysis followed by an exact description and explanation. The conclusion of the thesis provides a compact resume of the forms of protection which the discriminated person can use to avoid discrimination or for defense.

Administration of public procurement

The thesis is focused on proposing changes in methodological procedures relating to the public tendering administration in the selected institution and consequently also changes in the relevant legislation, especially in the terms of principles, which a public tendering authority must implement under the Act no. 137/2006, on public tendering. The work contains a theoretical and practical summarization of legal steps according the current legislation and a proposal of changes in the form of amendment of the public tendering act. Since dealing with this issue for many years, it was my attempt to incorporate my own practical experience and knowledge into the proposal of these changes. The thesis is divided into three thematic parts. In the first part there is an introduction of a summary of basic rules and procedures in public tendering since 1990 till present, i.e. the act no. 137/2006, on public tendering. The second part focuses on a practical example of the public tendering procedure. The third part contains the proposal of changes in rules and procedures leading to the promotion of equal treatment, transparency and non-discrimination in public tendering, as well as of their practical application.

199 ABSTRACT Discrimination in employment relations with the focus on sexual harassment This dissertation thesis deals with discrimination in employment relations with the focus on sexual harassment. Its primary objective is to provide a survey of the anti-discrimination or sexual harassment legislation and the means of protection against its manifestations. At the same time this thesis provides a basic overview of the development of legislation prohibiting discrimination on the grounds of sex and also of the development of legislation of the institute of sexual harassment itself. Furthermore, this thesis provides a detailed explan ation concerning anti-discrimination legislation in the area of international law and EU law which is supplemented with a specific legal analysis of sexual harassment legislation in the Federal Republic of Germany and the United States of America. The dissertation thesis is divided into ten chapters. The first chapter focuses on definition of the basic terms used in the field of discrimination, specifically the terms such as direct and indirect discrimination, principle of equal treatment, affirmative ac tion etc. This part then ends with the definition of the term harassment and sexual harassment. Analysis of project- and tender prices of arboricultural treatments within project Greenery restoration in group of communities Novoborsko

SUMMARY
The first chapter of my dissertation is set on the problematics of greenery in villages and cities and characterization of activities that are realized in the project The common solution in the care of the native landscape where the inventarization of trees in the region of the Union of the Novoborsko villages is processed, with the utilization of standard metodics of technical state meassuring of trees, analysis of the state of vegetation zones and the singular trees with the use of ISAT metodics and measurements. With the measurements acquired in this project was founded the project: Regeneration of the greenery in the Union of the Novoborsko villages.
The aim of this work is comparison of real prizes in individual arrangements with the prizes of transparent open competitions. The work contains summary of prizes of these arrangements in the individual villages and cities in the Union. In the next stage are the main section of open competitions and the output acquired from the prize offers of individual companies involved in these competitions. The last stage of this work contain outputs and the realization of next stages of the The common solution in care of the greenery project and the preparation of the Regeneration of the greenery in the Union of the Novoborsko villages project. The outputs shows common and widely known truth that the projected prizes of the projects are way off in comparsion with the offered prizes of companies which partakes in the open competitions . This work proved that final prize of the starting prizes in the competitive tendering is significantly lowered in the end. Specifically saying, the prize of the winning prizes is lowered for about a third for the whole project, but even equally in the partial prizes of the items.
After comparsion analysis of prius, using the application of prizes listed in the ÚRS price lists in combination with real prizes of arboristic companies it gives us a common rules how to prepare a request for grants linked with projects of the solutions in the care of greenery.Practical and theoretical skills of the realized project Regeneration of the greenery in the Union of the Novoborsko villages were used.
In my opinion the main aim of these outputs can be in the usage of the realization and the preparation of the projects linked with the care of the greenery and woody plants that villages and towns in Liberec region make, because the situation is similar like in the Union of the Novoborsko villages.
I believe that this work may improve the not so good state of greenery and the better budget making of small villages.
