Radiative Heat Transfer at Low Temperatures over Microscopic Distances in Vacuum
Králík, Tomáš ; Musilová, Věra ; Hanzelka, Pavel ; Horák, Michal ; Srnka, Aleš
We present experimental results on heat transfer between plane parallel surfaces of samples separated with microscopic vacuum gap. Radiative heat flux between metallic samples exceeding 50 times heat flux between black surfaces was observed for gaps of several micrometres at temperatures below 50 K. Comparison with near field theory of radiative heat transfer is presented.

Balancer Unit Dynamics of Diesel In-line Four-cylinder Engine
Dítě, Jan ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
Subjekt of this diploma thesis is createing of 3D model of a balancing shafts and a dynamic model of the balancing shaft and needle roller or plain bearings. To decide from the results of dynamic analysis in MBS (Multi-Body-System), which type of bearing is the best for storage the balancing shaft in the engine Zetor type series III.

The utilization of wireless modules for data acquisition
Machů, Petr ; Mácha, Tomáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
In the bachelor‘s thesis I deal with modern methods of wireless data transmission in decentralized wastewater treatment. I suggested three different architectures and various types of wireless modems related to them. Then I design the experimental workplace with the convenient architecture for an autonomous network. For data collection I use PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Foxtrot series with the central unit of CP-1005 and I use two modems Conel CDL 800 operating in the unlicensed band 869 MHz for wireless transfer. In the Mosaic I design a program for reading inputs from wastewater treatment plant and maintenance of serial channel, in Radwin program I configure wireless modems for the point-point transfer. I present Hyperterminal configuration and delivered date are displayed in it. Finally, I design applications in PHP language that converts data into a graphic form. In conclusion, I present opportunities for further development and improvement of the network.

Prediction of radiative heat transfer in argon arc plasmas using the method of partial characteristics
Aubrecht, Vladimír
Radiative heat transfer is a significant energy exchange process in arc plasmas. In the paper, an approximate Method of partial characteristics (MPC) is used to evaluate radiation intensities in argon arc plasmas of cylindrical symmetries at the atmospheric plasma pressure.

Possibilities of using VBA in business practice
Bukovský, Josef ; Benáčanová, Helena (advisor) ; Rybka, Čestmír (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes the use of advanced techniques while working in MS Excel and VBA environment in Hewlett Packard. The purpose of this thesis is to give high level advices in the area of collecting and analyzing of data and to discuss advanced options of MS Excel. All above is being described on practical tasks in the Hewlett Packard project "P2014" and so with the possibility to transfer all got knowledge to everyday' s life of employees not only in Hewlett Packard.

Project of worm gear for lift mechanism
Otisk, Jan ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This graduation thesis dwells on a worm gear design for an elevator mechanism in an already existing wheel case with actuator unit S3 for elevator type BOV 320/0,63. The work includes dimensional and control calculation for the worm gear and as an attachment you will find spiral worm and worm gear drawing documentation, including its specific location.

Calculation of radiative heat transfer in argon arc plasmas
Aubrecht, Vladimír
Radiative heat transfer is a significant energy exchange process in arc plasmas. In the paper, an approximate "Method of partial characteristics (MPC)" is used to evaluate radiation intensities, radiation fluxes and divergence of radiation fluxes in an arc plasmas of cylindrical symmetries at various plasma temperature profiles.

Uplatnění fraktálů v kompresi dat
Dušák, Petr ; Ivánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Palovský, Radomír (referee)
The mission of the Technology Transfer Programme Office is to increase impact on a society by transferring technologies developed by the European Space Agency. Method and Apparatus for compressing time series is a patented compression algorithm designed to be efficient as its purpose is to run on deep space probes or satellites. The algorithm is inspired by a method for fractal terrain generation, namely the midpoint displacement algorithm. This work introduces fractals, their application and modifying the patented algorithm, in order to achieve greater compression. The modification lies in modifying the displacement mechanism. The modified algorithm is capable of reducing data up to 25 %, compared to the patented algorithm. The modification made the algorithm less efficient. In large-scale test, performed on Rosetta spacecraft telemetry, the modified algorithm achieved around 5 % higher compression.

Je Taylorovo pravidlo příliš jednoduché pro praktické využití v malé otevřené ekonomice jako je Česká republika?
Juračka, Tomáš ; Mičúch, Marek (advisor) ; Potužák, Pavel (referee)
The Taylor rule and its variants played a prominent role in the monetary policy discussion among theoreticians and practitioners for more almost two decades. The purpose of this thesis is to assess on the applicability of the simple instrument rules such as a classic Taylor's rule to the Czech economic environment which can be described as a small open economy with banking market specifically skewed by excess liquidity. The applicability is evaluated based on the variants of the Taylor rule and their effectiveness in describing the monetary policy of the central bank. The results of the models presented in this thesis are ambiguous. Traditional specification of the Taylor's rule is clearly unsuccessful in describing the behaviour of the Czech National Bank. However, if the models are altered to their historical variants containing only the information accessible at the time of decision making, their robustness and explanatory value increase significantly. Taking interest rate smoothing and exchange rate into consideration further improves the models. The policy behaviour of the Czech National Bank can be best described by the historical model with the one-year-ahead inflation prognosis, output gap, exchange rate and lagged target interest rate as explanatory variables. One of interesting results of this model is that the output gap does not play important role in the Czech National Bank decision making which is consistent with the opinions presented in the Czech National Bank Board Minutes.

A scholar in politics
Tomeš, Josef
The paper sums up and evaluates the political activities of the prominent Czech natural scientist Professor Bohumil Němec (1873-1966). It mentions his work in the progressive movement at the end of the 19th century, in the Young Czech Party after 1907 and in the national democratic party in the interwar period, his role in the home resistance during the World War I, his part at the proclamation of the independent Czechoslavak state, in the Chamber of Deputies, Senate and National Czechoslovak Council. It details the background of his candidacy for the President of the Republic in December 1935, when he stood against Edvard Beneš and earned a harsh criticism from the political faction of the "Castle". It observes his confrontation with the political situation after the World War II and the ambivalent attitude of the Communist regime towards his personality. In the end, it reveals his recollections of the presidential election of 1935 written down in the diaries during his last years. It proves that Bohumil Němec was a homo politicus for all his life with clearly defined liberal-nationalist conviction and that his presidential candidacy was a decision of a politically mature and experienced man.
