Language analysis of the early printed book Life of the blessed Agnes... from 1666
Turková, Táňa ; Adam, Robert (referee) ; Kučera, Karel (advisor)
This thesis gives a basic language characteristic of the ear1y printed book Life ol the Blessed Agnes... from 1666 from the orthographical, phonetic, morphological, syntactic and lexical perspective. Transcription of the text of this record is also part of the thesis. The examined text is a translation from Latin which originated at the beginnig of the 15th century and was printed according to an old manuscript in 1666. The printing contains extra explanatory marginalia which were added by the publisher. The legend was printed using the Moravian orthography and contains some mistakes due to trascription of the digraphic orthography which was used in the old manuscript. The quantity of vowels is marked, however the graphic form of the printing gives information more about the quantity of Czech in the 1 i h century rather than of Czech in the 15th century. The graphics of the legend reflects some changes which were happening in the phonetic system at that time but the phonetic Czech of the legend basically agrees with the Czech today. More differences in comparison with present Czech can be found in morphology. Compared to today' s Czech concrete formative differences which originated in Old Czech (system oftenses, participle forms, dec1ination of some nouns and numerals) show themselves within particular...

Soil macrofauna (Diplopoda, Chilopoda, Oniscidea) under restored flood conditions in meadow and forest habitats in South Moravia, Czech Republic
Tajovský, Karel
Floodplain habitats in the alluvium of the Morava and Dyje rivers, Czech Republic, were strongly affected by changes in water regime conditioned by regulation measures in the past centuries. These negative changes resulted in the cessation of regular floods, decline of groundwater level and subsequently in dramatic changes of characteristic vegetation as well as animal assemblages. Therefore activities aimed at more thorough analysis and restoration and revitalization projects were undertaken in nineties. Specific extreme conditions in the regularly flooded biotopes are determining for the existence of the specific soil invertebrate assemblages including millipedes (Diplopoda), centipedes (Chilopoda) and terrestrial isopods (Oniscidea). Long termed pitfall trapping processed in forest and meadow habitats in the years 1993-2001 enable us to evaluate the impact of restoration of regular floods and improving water regime on these terrestrial invertebrates. While the animal assemblages in floodplain forest (Ranšpurk National Nature Reserve) showed to be more conservative towards restoration processes, those in flooded meadow (Křivé jezero National Nature Reserve) dramatically stressed by previous negative conditions well responded to improving water regime. Renewed inundations at this locality contributed to the return of parameters of natural wetland habitat. Low densities and the species typical for extreme flood conditions (centipede Lamyctes emarginatus, millipedes Julus scanicus and Leptoiulus cibdellus, terrestrial isopod Trachelipus rathkii) were monitored at this locality.

Fialová, Tereza ; Prudká, Šárka (advisor) ; Kotýnková, Magdalena (referee)
This thesis focuses on the theme of social services for the elderly and its development since 2007 to 2015. The goal is to describe the development of social services in the Czech Republic, in the regions of the Czech Republic and comparison between them. The Bachelor thesis also has the goal of informing about the current situation and future predictions. The theoretical part deals with the definition of social inclusion services within social policy. An integral part is the description of the basic forms of social services, social service providers and legislative and financial framework for social services in the Czech Republic. The method used in this part is the literature research focused on characteristics of social policies, particularly on social services. The empirical part follows information from theoretical part. The research is focused on the Czech Republic as a whole and then goes into exploring the specifics of individual regions and their comparison. Here, the methods used are: analysis of the existing system of social services and regional comparison. The data sources are mainly from Czech Statistical Office and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The result of my investigation is the confirmation of the need for social services in the lives of seniors. The goal of this thesis is to highlight the current systemic shortcomings of providing and funding of social services, mainly because of increased number of seniors in Czech Republic.

Theoretical considerations on the liability of a sportsman in the Czech legal system (liability of a sportsman in collective sports)

The Soviet collectivization in the late 20s and in the first half of the 30s of the 20th century and evaluation of the social and economic consequences on Volhynian Czechs
Šťastná, Dora ; Fabianková, Klára (advisor) ; Chalupecký, Petr (referee)
The thesis focuses on economic development in the Soviet Union in the late 20s and in the first half of the 30s of the 20th century. An accent is placed mainly on collectivisation of agriculture during the first five-year plan. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the centrally planned economy, previous economic history of the USSR and Stalin's concept of economic policy. The analytical part of the thesis deals with the process of collectivization and evaluation of the social and economic outcomes and consequences, specifically on the territory of Volhynia, where thousands of Czech citizens emigrated. The hypothesis, that Volhynian Czechs were not directly affected by forced collectivization, was disproved. As a result of collectivization the number of czech population in Volhynia decreased by 30%. The first five-year plan featured a big step towards modernization and self-sufficiency of the country, but in the agricultural sector failed.

TO LOVE LIFE IS A TRUE DIVINE SERVICE - Analysis of selected moral-theological treatises from the period of Joseph II
Lorman, Jaroslav ; Rethmann, Albert-Peter (advisor) ; Ovečka, Libor (referee)
Loving Life Is the True Divine Service - Analysis of Selected Morally Theological Treatises from the Period of Joseph II Jaroslav Lorman The work is focused on morally theological treatises from the period of Joseph II (1780-1790). From the point of view of Christian ethics, this period can be seen as the culmination of its gradual achievement of independence of dogmatic theology happening since the sixteenth century. The analysis is mainly based on three works: Augustin Zippe, Anleitung zur christlichen Sittenlehre der Vernunft und der Offenbarung (Prague 1778) and Von der moralischen Bildung angehender Geistlichen in Generalseminario zu Prag (Prague 1784) and Ignaz Fabiani, Grundzüge der kristlichen Sittenlehre (Vienna 1789). The main goal was to verify the existence of so called Catholic Enlightenment in the Czech environment. If it were shown that the Enlightenment authors, in our case the authors from the Joseph II period, did not act against the Church and religion and in fact they even identified with it, this would be an important argument against the old cliché that the fundamental elements of the Age of Enlightenment are antireligiosness and anticlericalism. We could even open another field of study - to what extent the Czech environment was influenced by that of German. The already...

Social and psychological grounds for, and legalization of the holocaust
Paleček, Lukáš ; Kosek, Jan (advisor) ; Mucha, Ivan (referee)
Title of the thesis: Social-Psychological Causes and the Legalization of the Holocaust Summary: Although the Holocaust (a word for suffering of millions of individual people of vastness that stretches beyond our imagination) is a rather distressing topic I chose to carry out this re- search for two reasons, which prevailed. First, the experience shows that extreme situations reveal many latent features of human psyche - studying them is tempting. Second, the Holo- caust is a morally and politically important and still topical theme because not forgetting evil is a manner of its prevention. The purpose of my thesis is to present (and emphasise) the idea that the tragedy of the Holo- caust did not merely have causes, which can be described as political or economic (or exclu- sively psychiatric - which is perhaps the most dangerous simplification), but that a significant part of what happened is explainable from the point of view of social psychology. The second of the main goals of the thesis is to analyse anti-Semitic law (and very briefly also anti- Gypsies law) of the war Slovak state. To integrate researches in the two aforementioned scientific disciplines (social psychology and legal history) in a coherent unit I chose to use the Czech penal law's concept of elements of crime. There are four basic...
