How precede to civilisation diseases (complex education and motivation text about health life style)
Drahošová, Šárka ; Bartůňková, Staša (advisor) ; Vránová, Jana (referee)
Název: Jak předejít civilizačním chorobám How to prevent civilization diseases Cíle práce: Mým cílem bylo posoudit názorovou orientaci a informovanost studentů gymnázií a odborných učilišť v oblasti prevence civilizačních chorob. Dotazník vyplnily 2 skupiny 17-18 letých respondentů, kterými bylo123 gymnazistů (60 dívek a 63 chlapců) a 122 učňů (60 dívek a 62 chlapců) z Prahy a okolí. Výsledky: Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly nedostatečný stupeň informovanosti v obou skupinách respondentů, i když studenti gymnázií projevili dle předpokladů lepší znalosti než studenti z odborných učilišť.

The development of sentence complexity in academic written English (1904-2005): a syntactic study
Malá, Marcela ; Dušková, Libuše (advisor) ; Ježková, Šárka (referee) ; Klégr, Aleš (referee)
This study focuses on concrete evidence of changes in the syntactic structure of sentences and sentence complexity over a period of about a century. It analyses academic texts from the fields of psychology and economics. The analysis is based on explicitly expressed primary (finite) and secondary (non-finite) predications which are categorised as main clauses and finite and non-finite subordinate clauses. According to the syntactic functions of subordinate clauses in sentences four syntactic categories are considered: 1) clauses substituting for a noun phrase slot, 2) clauses substituting for an adverbial element slot, 3) clauses contributing to the complexity of noun phrases in the form of premodification or postmodification and 4) comment clauses. The findings indicate that current academic prose is less complex and more impersonal than a hundred years ago and shows a tendency towards a non-finite mode of expression. Finite clauses substituting for clause elements normally expressed by noun phrases are the only syntactic function of finite clauses in which the percentage of clauses in the modern texts increased. Non-finite clauses are used not only instead of hypotactically but also paratactically linked clauses and contribute to the structural compactness of an English sentence. The study lists the most...

Music and words in the chamber cycles Lukáš Hurník
Franěk, Milan ; Nedělka, Michal (advisor) ; Bezděk, Jiří (referee) ; Pecháček, Stanislav (referee)
The emphasis of this thesis was put on a complex analysis of two cycles, which belong to the rather abundant vocal output of Lukáš Hurník. A second chapter became essential which explicitly discusses these aspects in detail. There were several factors which motivated me to choose this topic: musical and literary content and its parameters as well as the emerging views on pedagogical interpretation in a current school. However, I did not primarily follow the exact explication of these incitations, which would normally be conclusive for the chosen compositions. I also did not determine the exact educational level in which these compositions could be used. This offers numerous variable possibilities of usage, depending on which result of the analysis will be preferred by a particular educator, to which purpose and in what situation he decides to use this composition. The main interest was therefore to make sure, that certain impulses to this interpretation would be clearly evident in the results of these analyses but simultaneously would not claim to be dogmatically untouchable. Even though the main point of my observation was the complex analysis, containing all the attributes of a serious study, 1 could not act schematically. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The endocrine function of adipose tissue and its importance for initiation and development of insulin resistance and diabetes
Haluzík, Michal ; Schreiber, Vratislav (advisor) ; Marešová, Dana (referee) ; Šeda, Ondřej (referee)
Endocrine production of adipose tissue is a very complex process affected by numerous endogenous and exogenous stimuli. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors-alpha (PPAR-) are important modulators of metabolic processes which can also affect endocrine function of adipose tissue. Recently, numerous novel factors produced by adipose tissue with important metabolic effects were identified. Some of them can directly bind PPAR receptors. One of the examples of these factors is fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) which can directly bind PPAR receptors and indirectly modify its activation by changing availability of endogenous PPAR ligands -free fatty acids. We hypothesized that the mechanism of action of PPAR receptors to metabolic processes may partially lie in their complex interaction with adipose tissue-derived hormones. The unraveling of these interactions may have important consequences in finding approaches to treat patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. (...) In summary, our data show an important role for the interplay of PPAR activation and endocrine function of adipose tissue in metabolic regulations which may have important clinical consequences.

Punčochářová, Lenka ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor) ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (referee)
After spinal cord injury occur a lot of complication, with resulting from neurological picture. These can be central, peripheral or mix paresis in some cases even plegie. Often an autonomic nervous system can be demaged, causing complication practice in nearly all body systems. Rehabilitation attend belongs to basic care of paretic patients and is closely connected with basic with basic nursing methods from which the physiotherapy of these patients arise. This survey gives a summary of procedures and methods of physiotherapy , which help the patient to prevent and better respond to the complication treatment e.g. on respiratory and movement apparatus. Complex physiotherapeutic treatment concentrates mainly on prevention of complications. The physiotherapist must anticipate formation of complications and adapt the comlexity of the treatment. Giuseppe Verdi: "Don Carlos" - opera complex scenographic project
Heřmánková, Lucie ; DAVID, Milan (advisor) ; TEMPÍR, Nikola (referee)
This bachelor’s thesis aims to find complex scenographic solution of Don Carlos opera composed by Italian author Giuseppe Verdi. Apart from my own creative solution I also present theoretical chapters of authors biography, relation to his work and I compare several Don Carlos productions by Josef Jelínek who designed six unique costume variations. During process of making the set design I came up with lots of topics to think about. I chose freedom as main topic by studying past productions, libretto and musical part. This topic is one of the key elements of the creative solution and therefore I defined it further in part of this thesis. I am also looking for artistic ways that would be the most suitable and adequate for the opera, musical-dramatic genre, in which music could be more important than libretto. I am trying to find connections to contemporary society and keep the story up to date.
