This diploma thesis deals with setting up and practical implementation of quality management system in hospital. Theoretical part of the thesis in-cludes basic terms regarding the health care, quality control and healthcare legislation. Practical part deals with implementation of quality management system according the technical norm ČSN EN ISO 9001. This diploma thesis brings the compact view of the issues regarding quality management in health care and the universal plan for setting up and managing the quality management system in a midsize hospital.

Mediální prezentace veřejné zeleně v Českých Budějovicích (obsahová analýza jihočeského regionálního tisku)

Press is a part of mass communication providing the public with information and symbolic contents. It always reflects the supposed interest of the public in concrete problems and it mediates social control of the institutions which are responsible for the particular spheres. On the basis of the content analysis of the regional press in South Bohemia we can state that citizens do not perceive the problem of public greenery as urgent and thus this topic is not very frequent in the media. People mainly observe if public greenery is in good shape. The number of organisms to be encountered in urban environment by greenery users is not large according to the press.

Production process monitoring system

This thesis deals with production system monitoring using the SPC method. The reason for the introduction of the SPC system is in an effort to improve the quality consistantcy.This master thesis consists of three parts: Teoretic part: to solve the basic access and process for the aplication of SPC methodics. Practical part: includes the descripton of comtemporary quality control and propositions for the SPC method. Conclution:Conclusions and recommendations are made on the basis of the data evaluation.

Research report deals with measurement of chromatic dispersion of singlemode optical fibres using interferometric technique at IREE AS CR in Prague. The document describes in details all components of measurement setup, initial setting up and measurement procedure, using of assembled control programs and the measurement data processing too. Several tips and practical recommendations complete the report based on many performed experiments.

Social services and the role of non-governmental organizations in social security

Social services are an important part of the system of social assistance. The object of social services is to help citizens in unfavourable social situations regarding their health, age, handicap or other serious grounds, if they can not solve their situation themselves. The services aim to maintain the highest possible quality and dignity for their clients. Social services provide meals, accommodation, assistance with bridging unfavourable social situations, care for people with a limited ability in the area of personal and home care, assistance with bringing up a children and also social counselling. The providing of social services was regulated by the social services act number 108/2006 Sb. This act shows actual trends that are similar in the whole Europe and brings a new approach to social services. Organization and control over this area of work belongs to the ministry of labour and social affairs in cooperation with regions and municipalities. This thesis focuses on the position of providers of social services after the adoption of the above social services act. Endoscopic laser-assisted cordectomies classified by Remacle and Rudert (typ I-V cordectomies) comprise a vast range of procedures from simple vocal cord stripping or submucosal cordectomy (type I) through more extensive surgery (subligamentous cordectomy- type II, transmuscular chordectomy- type III) to complete (type IV) or extended cordectomies (type V) used when tumour involves the anterior commisure, arytenoid region, subglottic region etc. Endoscopic laser-assisted surgery of the larynx is usually indicated in early stages of infiltrative malignant disease of the glottic region (Tla-b, T2) or in preneoplastic conditions (laryngeal intraepithelial neoplasia - LIN I, II or III). Radiotherapy is also believed to be an equivalent type of oncological therapy for these diseases. Both surgery and radiotherapy can worsen one of the main functions of the human larynx- the human voice. Because the overall survival rates and local control rates are quite similar in both types of therapy, one should always have in mind something that is beyond the main goal of achieving radical removal of the tumour- patients quality of life (QoL) and quality of voice. Development of algorithms state estimation of experimental vehicle

This thesis deals with the filter algorithm design, implementing mathematical model to improve algorithm performance. Designed algorithms are implemented in a control unit of the experimental vehicle (filters signal used in the closed-loop controller). The improvement of the position estimation using Kalman Filter is demonstrated on the experimental vehicle. In the next part the design process of algorithm developing for dsPIC microcontroller using Matlab is described.
