Vývoj e-governmentu v ČR v letech 2000-2006

E-government, neboli elektronizace a informatizace veřejné správy, je současné aktuální téma, které se u nás dostalo do podvědomí na počátku 90. let minulého století, a které dosáhlo výrazných pokroků, především díky rozvoji v oblasti informačních a komunikačních technologií. Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje vývoji e-governmentu od roku 2000 v České Republice, zároveň však bere v ohled i určité aspekty z let minulých. Zabývá se rozvojem elektronické komunikace úřadů veřejné správy směrem k občanům, jakou úlohu hraje v procesu elektronizace stát (resp. vláda), především v oblasti legislativy, vymezuje problémy zavádění služeb e-governmentu, ale také uvádí, na základě získaných poznatků, přínosy pro občany, podnikatelské subjekty i pro orgány veřejné správy. Přínosem práce je ucelené shrnutí poznatků o problematice e-governmentu v ČR v letech 2000-2006. Téma je zpracováno metodou studia odborných pramenů.

The Macroeconomic Impacts of the Selected Oil Shocks in the United States of America

The aim of this study is to analyze macroeconomic impacts of four selected oil shocks on the United States economy and their subsequent comparison. The first part of this study deals with the theoretical background of supply shock, its influence on the economy, and the possible responses of economic policy. Furthermore, in the first part I focus on the historical events that led to the oil crisis, specifically on the OPEC oil embargo imposed on the United States, production cuts caused by the Iranian revolution, Iran-Iraq War and Persian Gulf War and on the demand as well as the supply factors that led to the oil shock of 2007-2008. The second part of this study presents the specific impacts of four selected oil shocks on the US economy and their comparison. Based on the findings, it was possible to confirm the hypothesis saying that past oil shocks, especially those that took place in the 1970's, had more negative impacts on the United States economy in comparison with those that happened more recently. In other words, that the effects of changes in oil prices have lessened over time. There are many reasons of this moderation, but the most important ones include more effective monetary policy response, the decrease in wage rigidities, and more recently also the decline of United States dependency on imported oil.

Global value chains in the coffee industry focused on Vietnam

Aim of this diploma thesis is to describe functioning of global coffee value chains and this knowledge then apply to the coffee industry in Vietnam which serves as a case study. The introductory chapter focuses firstly on institutional background of value chains, processes and management processes used in the agricultural industry. The thesis also contains analysis of global coffee value chain, including the identification of entities engaged in the chain and their contribution to the creation of added value. Next chapter describes the development of the world coffee market and production of the world's major producers and exporters of coffee. The thesis also deals with the topic of economic and social sustainability and the impact of global value chains on the environment. Final part of the thesis concentrates on the position of the coffee industry in Vietnam, its structure and development over the past 40 years. Attention is paid also to a problematic position of small growers or to the opportunities of the development of the local coffee industry.

Integration of Apple Mac computers into corporate environment

Corporate informatics has undergone a number of changes in past few years. Used devices are becoming more independent from the OS, they rely more on provided services and the level of security. Cloud technologies are increasingly growing in significance and a large number of companies offer their employees BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). This thesis focuses on integration of Apple Mac computers into corporate environments, based on analysis of contemporary approaches and possibilities of dealing with integration. An important part of this thesis is research of chosen implemented solutions in the Czech republic. From both parts of this thesis it then offers recommendations, which are based on practical experience of companies that widely use and deal with integration of Mac computers.

Comparative cytogenetics of bed bug Cimex lectularius (Heteroptera: Cimicidae)

Comparative cytogenetics of the bed bug Cimex lectularius (Heteroptera: Cimicidae) The human bed bug Cimex lectularius has started enormous spreading to all developed countries of temperate climate zone during the last ten years. Bed bug was almost eradicated by a mass use of DDT in these areas until the 70's in the 20th century. This temporal haematophagous ectoparasite occupies particularly human dwellings and bat roosts. Cimex lectularius shows unusual combination of cytogenetic characteristics, general for all Heteroptera, however, not usual for other organisms. The chromosomes are holokinetic, with completely achiasmatic meiosis and inverted meiosis of the sex chromosomes. Especialy remarkable feature is intraspecific variation of the number of the X chromosomes. The variable number of chromosomes of 43 populations of Cimex lectularius from the Czech Republic and 27 populations from other European countries was studied in the present study. The 10 variants of karyotype were found out by using the "hotplate spreading" method and the standard Giemsa staining. There were male karyotypes with 2n = 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 42 and 47 chromosomes and two females with peculiar odd number of sex chromosomes X, 2n = 33 and 43, not complementary with any male. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the reader to the topic of international art market, to explain how the art market works and what various forms it can acquire. In addition to this, the thesis points out different art investment opportunities and describes recent development of the art market. The first chapter begins with an explanation of general terms and concepts associated with art. Then follows the art market segmentation and characteristics of the main market players. The second chapter takes into account art's investment potential and consequently examines possible strategies while buying art. It is also dedicated to art investment funds and art price indices. In the last part the attention is focused on art market's development in the last years, its current state and today's trends.

Discussion on US sanctions against Cuba at the U.N. General Assembly

The United States imposed the longest lasting sanction regime on Cuba in 1960 as a result of strained relations in recent years. Each US administration modified form of the sanctions regime, depending on the attitude toward the Cuban issue. General Assembly, the highest authority of the UN, adopts not legally binding but politically significant resolutions. Resolution condemning US sanctions regime has been adopted annually since 1992. Discussion on changes of the sanction regime in the General Assembly is a sign of reflection on current events and unrigid process of resolutions adoption. The main purpose is to determine whether the changes of the sanction regime were mentioned in the discussions on the adoption of the resolutions. The result of the analysis shows the reflection of the events in the speeches of ambassadors. The amount of mentioned events in speeches depends whether they were positive or negative step toward easing the embargo, and also how important the event was.

Global Witness´s influence on forming of conflict mineral legislation

The thesis concers the issue of conflict minerals in the Democratic republic of Congo. The situation in the country has been monitored by the NGO Global Witness for decades. Human rights violation, illicit trade followed by exporting of minerals out of the country, have been supervised by militaristic rebel groups. As a result these groups have been indirectly founded by international corporations.The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the performance of Global Witness at the agenda setting of conflict minerals, including a critical assessment of legislative measures.

The aim of the thesis is to define a specific audience group and its preferences: the current generation of young people aged between 15 and 35 who belong to the sociological group called "Generation Y". The thesis contributes to knowledge by examining how the public Czech Television (CT) understands and addresses the needs of this specific audience group.

This thesis is focused on memories of people born in 20s and 30s of 20th century about traditional folk culture. It is focused on observing original traditions and celebrating traditional festivities and what sense had these traditions for them and how they ment it. First part of this thesis is focused on narratives life stories. Second part is about memories of traditional customs and habits and how was changing their way of celebrating during prewar period, war and in time of socialism. Last part is dedicated to dancing. Storytellers spoke about dancing opportunities, their own dance experience and dance perofrmances in the theatre.
