Unemployment and its Socio-economic Results in the Benešov Region

The effect of investment in tertiary education on gross wages in the region Prague
Diessner, Daniel ; Chytil, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work is to determine whether and how higher education affects gross wages. The theoretical part focuses on the theory of human capital, especially investment in education. The theory posits that a higher investment in human capital leads to higher yield, higher wages. The validity of this concept will be tested on the group of respondents who entered the labour market at the turn of millennium. Concentration of candidates with tertiary education in this period has risen considerably, which could cause an imbalance in the labour market. The practical part is based on the work of Mincer (1974). I used Mincer Earnings Function as a basis to build regression model. Partial aim is to prove the declining rate of return on investment in tertiary education using Mincer Equation.

Culture safety of medical devices and pacient safety
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Denisa
The quality issue of provided health care is the topic which is constantly getting more attention. In this area there is always even probably will be always - something to improve. The patients´ safety in healthcare facilities is affected by the so-called culture of safety. The research was conducted in six medical institutions of the South Bohemian Region, though seven were originally planned. However, I was not given the data here, probably due to the long term incapacity of the respondent. The research was focused precisely on the area of care quality and patient safety. A mixed method research (qualitative and quantitative) was deliberately used in this task. The aim was to map the most common causes of adverse events and then, based on the causes, to propose possible arrangements to prevent the occurrence of the causes. For this purpose five research questions were established. The outcomes obtained were processed into tables, plus the graphical representation of some was accompanied. Then, in the "discussion" chapter, the results were compared and analyzed in more detail.

BIENERTOVÁ, Jitka
Nowadays, namely at the beginning of the third millennium, every individual is entitled to free choice of occupation and acquisition of the means to satisfy his/her necessaries of life. Even the handicapped people have the same rights as the other citizens and they therefore have not only the right to a special (adapted, modified) conditions of work, but also to assistance in the preparation for employment. Work rehabilitation serves to this purpose. In particular the individual plan of work rehabilitation is designed for the clients {--} handicapped persons. The objective of my work was to describe the specific steps and procedures leading to integration of physically disadvantaged persons within the open labour market, in particular to describe the existing methods enabling the evaluation of the current health potential of the handicapped client as a precondition of integration on the labour market. The determination of qualitative research was the key point of the work. I focused in my work on the research in the region of Chomutov and Žatec, carried out from September 2008 till December 2008 in Chomutov. The persons involved in the project are long-term unemployed job applicants with a certain size of disability.

Stunning renders poultry insensitive to pain allowing them to be killed by welfare. To stunning can be used electric, gas or mechanical methods of stunning. Electrical stunning of poultry is performed by passing electric current etiher cross the head (head -- only stunning) or through the whole body using water bath stunning supplied with high frequency currents. In both cases, the method involves the hanging up of live birds to overhead line, which has numerous negative aspects: poor animal welfare, considerable product damage and difficult working conditions. Gas stunning methods used for poultry are controlled atmosphere stunning and low atmosphere pressure stunning. Both methods improve welfare at slaughter and quality of carcass and meat. The main disadvantage of gas stunning compared with electrical stunning are high operating costs and complicated installation. In general, the mechanical captive bolt stunning is often used to kill injured poultry, but it can be used on a small scale to larger poultry such as ducks, geese and turkeys. And in some countries and cultures, stunning is not an issue anyway. In these countries like in the Middle East region, birds are slaughtered kosher/halal according to the Jewish/Islamic law without stunning.

Bartoš, Michael ; Kušová, Drahomíra ; Těšitel, Jan
Amenity migration is new global phenomena. This phenomenon has been strongly supported by the spread of mass information technologies and. Under specific conditions it can become one of societal driving forces determining the socio-economic development of the given region. It seems that tourism play crucial role in formation of amenity migration. It precedes amenity migration being, as a rule, regarded its initial form.
