Experiment CAPEX-U: Současnost a Budoucnost
Frolov, Oleksandr ; Koláček, Karel ; Štraus, Jaroslav ; Schmidt, Jiří ; Boháček, Vladislav ; Prukner, Václav
A new pulse capillary discharge driver with a laser-triggered main spark gap has been developed. The assembled CAPEX-U device consists of a Marx generator, of a pulse forming line, a gas-filled laser-triggered spark gap and a ceramic capillary. Its design was supported by mapping of electrostatic fields in the most exposed regions and by analysis of an equivalent circuit. Operation of the laser-triggered spark gap was tested on a single-channel model. In the paper, the results of the modelling and of the first electrical tests of the whole device (capillary current and voltage at the end of pulse forming line) are presented.

Additional Load Elimination at Suspension Components Testing
Brychta, Tomáš ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis first provides a survey of acceleration tests with the focus on automotive component testing. The survey covers multiple types of acceleration tests and sources of stress. The thesis then includes a MATLAB application for the removal of inertia forces, which is applied on two shaft configuration models developed in Pro Engineer. Both models are subjected to stress analysis using FEM in Ansys. The thesis has been carried out in collaboration with TRW-DAS Dačice.

The creation of videotutorials for the University of Economics, Prague
Zeman, Ondřej ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kupec, Michael (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to acquaint readers with new possibilities of teaching by using information technology and its application, when making learning material. The main outputs of this thesis are video tutorials, which serve as an education support for the course 4IT110 Use MS Excel in business practice taught in the University of Economics, Prague. However, it may be useful to other students of different courses. The process of making tutorials is described from the very beginning by specifying methodology, creating model exercises, subsequent testing of tutorials by students and optimisation of videos according to their suggestions and comments.

Title: Training ofvolejbal playing skills ofboys and girls in junior category. Work objectives : Creating a set of simple technical tests for the junior category for a particular voleyball activities and their evaluation. Comparison of the outcomes and defining the differences between girls and boys category. Methodology: Monitoring ofplayers' performance development in motor tests within observed and control group ofthose players by using comparative method. During monitoring three tests were made that supplied input, control and output data.T-test method for pair values ofdepending selections was used to process and analyze obtained data. Results: Results show to instructors of the tested group the control over the training and doing the particular volleyball activity, methods oftraining and the technical improvement of the team. The after comparison of boys and girls shows the speciality of the motoric progress in this age. Keywords: Keywords Volleyball Playing activity of an individua! Volleyball ofthe youth Training - 5 -

Welding of high strenght steel by laser
Číp, Tomáš ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
This project, elaborated within the engineering studies (code of field of study: N2301), presents experiment of welding of high-strength steel by laser. In this project, the samples of high-strength steel DOMEX 420MC will be welded by laser welding method and the welded joints will then be compared with welds made by MAG method. The theoretical part of this project summarizes the following key words in individual chapters: lasers, technology of welding of steel using laser, welding by MAG method, steel with higher strength, types of defects and check of welded joints. The practical part contains description of and assessment of mechanical tests of welded joints – weld bending test and transverse tension test. Further on, the tests of macrostructure and microstructure of welded joints were conducted and assessed. Final results of whole experiment are reviewed at the end of my diploma thesis.

Objective: Production and verification of efficient and methodical training programme of karate for children and youth, which increases technical ability and fitness. Methods: Experiment was made by the simple direct method and it took part in the observing five test's groups (one group was made nearly from 25 observed subjects). And than was used the testing and measuring method Eurofit test and test order ČSKe with criterions. The test results were rated by Microsoft ACCESS®, Microsoft EXCEL®, Statistica 6.0 ® a Graph Pad PRISM®. Results: The results validated utility of training programme, but this programme is not more efficient than common training methods. Key words: Karate, elementary arts of karate, teaching and training project.

Are elections lists fair or nudging?
Regéczy, Martin ; Bartoň, Petr (advisor) ; Hudík, Marek (referee)
It is generally believed that those candidates listed earlier on the ballot paper are likely to receive more votes than those listed later. This assumption was proved to be true on a sample of 100 election results collected from university elections across the whole Czech Republic in the years 2001-2009. These elections have one important feature -- all candidates are listed in alphabetical order. Those candidates with surname initials closer to the beginning of the alphabet tend to receive more votes and, as a past research says, the non-rational voters are to be blamed. No one, however, has yet analyzed the behavior of candidates. Hypothesis that candidates with better fitted surnames are more likely to enter elections, and by that create a ballot paper already with alphabetical bias, has not been proved. Other cue to voters such as the title of a candidate present on the ballot paper proved to be an important signal of quality for female candidates who were hugely advantaged compared to men who were disadvantaged due to this fact. Possible different reasons to alphabetical bias have been tested (e.g. name letter effect), but have not been found to be present.
