This thesis "Space and Disposition of the Nursery School Garden at Housing Estate" is mainly focused on issues related to suitable equipment and disposition of nursery school gardens. It descibes the needs and importance of the school gardens for both, children and people living in a vicinity. There is also the topic of the fulfillment of the General outdoor educational program in this text. In the practical part of this work there is used a questionary to draft out an ideal garden.

Význam ohrožených druhů rostlin lesních biotopů ŠLP Křtiny pro místní komunity

My thesis deals with some endangered species in the Training Forest Enterprise Křtiny and Moravian Karst, design certification of local forest nurseries logo regional product for sale, and also the importance for the local community. The work is focused on identifying endangered species of Training Forest Enterprise Křtiny, which are grown by the locals on their land in selected communities. Study deals with legislative restrictions in the management of endangered plant species. It explains the concept of the term "non-wood forest products", and its relevance to the forestry and biodiversity. In the work described conducted a field survey in which was collected seeds of selected endangered in the Moravian Karst for school forest enterprise Křtiny. Seeds were sown in a cold frame of Botanical garden and arboretum of Mendel University in Brno and made them germination tests. The last section describes the idea of certifing some forest nursery in the area of the Moravian Karst, giving the logo "MORAVSKÝ KRAS regional product." This tree nursery could selected endangered species grown and sold in order to increase the number of these plants in nature and the preservation of biodiversity.

Inovative educational materials in teaching literature at secondary scholl

This master thesis is focused on education of literature. In theoretical part, it maps spectrum of educational materials for teaching on the second grade of elementary school. In the thesis, the main didactic aspects in 1970s, 1980s and their changes after the year 1989 till the present day are also compared. In these periods, the reading books and used methods are analyzed in detail. The question of obligatory reading is also discussed. In the frame of practical part of the thesis, the set of twenty didactically processes of working sheets for novel education of literature on the second grade of elementary school (for each class five working sheets). These sheets are elaborated in accordance to time-tested, but also innovative methods for work with text. Their aim is to develop the literacy of the readers and communication competence in accordance with educational requirements stated in RVP for elementary education. So, the working sheets offer an inspirational and practically usable source for teachers of literature education. The usability of majority of the working sheets or literature education was also verified in praxis.

Model Ecosystems in a School Garden and Their Use in the Teaching of Botany in the Lower Grades of Primary School

The idea of teaching pupils directly in the natural environment is not new at all. Similar ideas were already promoted by the famous Czech educator Jan Amos Komensky in the 17th century. But at his time, it was much easier to realize them. Nowadays, many city schools (and not only them) are situated far away from any kind of green. Then, it is quite demanding to reach a nice place where to spend a lesson of botany observing nature and learning to understand it. That is why using schoolgardens for purposes of learning in the natural environment seems to be quite reasonable - especially when the gardens are enriched by some models of ecosystems, that are typical for Czech landscape. Learning in such a type of garden is thought to have a very positive effect on pupils. It is believed to stop the process of children loosing contact with real nature and to help pupils develope a tight relation to it, which is very improtant for their environmental thinking. It is also absolutely sure, that active learning by manipulating real things and getting familiar with them by using all five senses makes the learning process efficient. Hygienic habits among girls in terms of prevention of inflammatory gynecological diseases.

Inflammatory gynaecological disorders are one of the most frequent causes of a visit in the gynaecologist?s surgery. Origination of this intimate and unpleasant problem can be attributed to a number of factors. One of them may be the impact of incorrect hygienic habits. Every female adolescent should know how to prevent such disorders. This means to be acquainted with the correct hygiene of the secret parts of the body and the menstrual hygiene, the hygiene of clothing, the protection concerning sexual intercourse, and to be aware of the importance of prophylactic gynaecologic examination. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on inflammatory gynaecological disorders, prevention thereof and education of female adolescents concerning prevention. The practical part focuses on discovering the female adolescents´ knowledge of the correct hygiene and its importance for prevention of inflammatory gynaecological disorders at the selected secondary schools and vocational schools of the Region of South Bohemia. The research data were acquired by means of quantitative survey based on the use of questionnaires. The questionnaire was anonymous and intended for female adolescents of the 15-18 age group. The questionnaires were distributed at Stredni zdravotnicka a vyssi odborna skola (secondary school of nursing and college of nursing) to female students specializing in the field of Medical Assistance, at the Czech-Anglo High School, Soukroma stredni skola a jazykova skola s pravem Statni jazykove zkousky (private secondary school and language school with the right to organize the (Czech) state language examinations) to female students specializing in the field of Hair Stylist and Stredni skola obchodni (secondary school of business) to female students specializing in the field of Shop Assistant. One goal and four hypotheses were set. The goal was to discover the level of knowledge of the correct hygiene and its importance for prevention of inflammatory gynaecological disorders among female students of the selected secondary schools and vocational schools in the Region of South Bohemia. The set goal has been achieved. The only proven hypothesis was No. 2 saying: "The female adolescents know that promiscuity is a risk factor contributing to the occurrence of inflammatory gynaecological disorders". What has not been proven was the hypothesis that female adolescents know the principles of the correct hygiene of the secret parts of the body, the correct menstrual hygiene, and that female students at secondary medical schools have better knowledge in the area of hygiene than female students of the other secondary schools. This bachelor´s thesis could be used as educational and information material intended for secondary as well as college students. The information leaflet, which is the output of the thesis, can serve as information material for female students of secondary schools and secondary vocational schools.

Integrated photonics

In the lecture for secondary school physics teachers, principles of light propagation in dielectric waveguides are explained. Operation principles of passive, dynamic and active photonic devices, especially components for optical communnication are described, too. Finally, structures with high refractive-index contrast perspective for large-scale photonic integration are mentioned.

The comparison of physics textbooks for basic schools

The thesis deals with the comparison of physics textbooks for primary schools. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the representation of individual sets of textbooks in primary schools in the South Bohemian Region, to develop and test custom teaching concepts revolving around thematic unit of 'Simple Machines'. This work is addressed primarily to teachers as a tool to enhance teaching effectiveness, to support the imagination and to increase interest in physics among pupils. These are the reasons why thematic unit, called Simple Machines, has been developed in form of interactive presentation, whose contribution and efficiency has been practically verified directly during physics classes in few selected primary schools. Benefits have been verified through accredited didactic tests and their evaluation and results are processed at the end of this thesis.

The importance of hospital schools is justified by their many years of history. The establishment of a long-term stay for the child in a hospital bed and difficult integration of the child to school. There is a large group of educators who are very necessary, but also hard work. Their work is public enough to be recognised. There are many questions about the work of the special educators in hospitals. I'm aware of the imperfections of his work, but I tried on the exploration of the work of teachers in the hospital At Bulovka.
