It also describes the contribution of the implementa-tion of these instruments in the Czech Republic. Part of the thesis is focused on analysis of chosen instrument and on evaluation of its contribution to the construction company.

Bayesian classification of digital images by web application

The contribution introduces web application for image classification that has been developed at the Research Institute of Geodesy, Topography and Cartography in the framework of grant project InGeoCalc (supported by Ministry of education of the Czech Republic). The web application is aimed to display, examine and classify digital image data. The data are expected to be obtained from Internet by means of Web Map Services (WMS) or from other sources (possibly non-registered). Image data from different sources can be combined and presented as composition of layers (coverage) with adjustable degrees of transparency. After gathering the data, Bayesian (supervised) classification is applied to distinguish separate regions in the image. User can choose between several classification methods and adjust pertinent parameters. Furthermore, several subsequent basic analytical tools are offered, namely computation of distances, areas or perimeters related to the classified regions, simple statistical summaries about classification results (e.g. distribution of classes, percentage of non-classified regions, etc.). The classification results and registration parameters can be saved for further use. The web application is based on common Internet standards (HTML, Javascript, SVG). The only requirement for running the application is an up-to-date Internet browser supporting SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). Typical usage of the web application can involve land cover mapping based on satellite or aerial images. The application is available free of charge for any Internet user.

Implementation of lean manufacturing and application of Kaizen management in small and middle company

The thesis deals with the application of the Lean manufacturing and Kaizen ma-nagement in processes of production and logistics management and selected tools and techniques of lean manufacturing and Kaizen management. The research of the imple-mentation of the Lean manufacturing was conducted at the production departments of the company. It is necessary to involve the processes principles.We can say, that the introduction of lean manufacturing principles and application of Kaizen management is a significant competitive advantage. The aim of tools supporting the implementation of the principles of the Lean manufacturing and Kaizen management is the elimination of wasting, improving response to customer´s demands. The keeping of the principles of company culture with the transition from the concept company to concept my (our) company. These principles are applicable to systems in the mass production and the small batch production. The some methods and tools are applicable in the area of services and public administration. We can say, that into each activity can be found reserves which are wasting about the Lean manufacturing. We are able to reduce or eli-minate them with use right tools. The subject of research are a never-ending changes the set up manufacturing processes during the implementation of Lean manufacturing and next application of Kaizen management. The changes which were done was not concern only for new set of material flow, workplace layout, leveling and optimization work, but also changes focused to thinking of people who are involved in these changes or the changes affecting them. To evaluace of the success and applicability of the newly introduced methods were set up measurable indicators and methodology of their eva-luation. The results which are presented are important for the company where the re-search was conducted. The outputs is important for other companies and recommen-dations of general application can help their further development and help to futher de-velop scientic knowledges.

Vliv chemického znečištění na kontaminaci a kvalitu biotických složek ekosystémů

Úkol A: Vzorkování. Na základě výsledků předchozího projektu bylo zvoleno šest okresů, jejichž míra reprezentace území České republiky byla ověřena řadou předběžných studií. Pardubice, Praha-západ, Strakonice, Uherské Hradiště, Žďár nad Sázavou, Chrudim. Úkol B: Analýza vzorků a uložení dat do databáze. Realizace odběrů terestrických matric, tj. pšenice, travního porostu, mechu, jehličí a atmosférické depozice, dále pylu, ryb a sedimentů. Sledované analyty: Těžké kovy (Cd, Pb, Hg, Zn, Cu, Ni, As), polychlorované bifenyly (PCB), organochlorové pesticidy a příbuzné sloučeniny (OCP), polycyklické aromatické uhlovodíky (PAH), polybromované difenylethery (PBDE), syntetické analogy pižma, alkylfenoly. Úkol C: Zajištění návaznosti výsledků a metrologická služba. Stanovení polycyklických aromatických uhlovodíků v ovzduší a vzorku sedimentu. Úkol D: Správa databáze. Úkol E: Zhodnocení trendů ve vývoji zatížení sledovaných lokalit. Kriteria fuzzy shlukování. Úkol F: Vývoj nových metod hodnocení obsahu škodlivin v ekosystémech. Aplikace pasivních vzorkovačů jako nástroj pro odhad bioakumulačního potenciálu akutně toxických xenobiotik. Stanovení obsahu polybromovaných difenylů v rybách z Labe a Vltavy.

Web Tool for Testing Based on Q-Sorting

This thesis describes process of designing user interface and implementing online q-sort application. The primary goal is to design the user interface as similar as possible to the classic q-sort with graspable elements, and to solve problem of easy understandeable layout with many functional stand alone elements on the limited size of monitor. The thesis describes the process of designing, implementing and testing of the application and it includes experiment for validation of application useability. The outcome of this thesis is an online application for q-sorting and the text of thesis documanting whole process of implementation.

Estimating market probabilities of future interest rate changes

The goal of this paper is to estimate the market consensus forecast of future monetary policy development and to quantify the priced-in probability of interest rate changes for different future time horizons. The proposed model uses the current spot money market yield curve and available money market derivative instruments (forward rate agreements, FRAs) and estimates the market probability of interest rate changes up to a 12-month horizon.

Foreign debt, capital flows and the real exchange rate

The aim of this study was to enrich the debate on the theory search equilibrium exchange rate of the Czech currency. It seeks to highlight the importance of monitoring the real dimension of the economic fundamentals and bring new life into the debate about its long-term development, and using the concept of debt-customized real exchange rate (DARER) define a simple and pragmatic tool to assess potential overvaluation.

The Pralex Lexical Database: a tool and basis for the research and description of the contemporary Czech lexis

The program part of the lexical database was developed as the Mozilla Firefox application (2005-2006); the processing software is designed as a modern lexicographic workstation. Since 2007, we have gradually complemented the database with the lexicographicallly relevant data (research project Creation of a Lexical Database of the Czech Language of the Beginning of the 21st Century, 2005-2011). We have focused predominantly on detailed treatment of the example part, which demonstrates the breadth of the collocability of the lemmas.
