Škopková, Andrea ; Urban, Michal (advisor) ; Agha, Petr (referee)
67 Visualisation of crime in the Normalization cinema Abstract The thesis deals with the question to what extent and in what way the Czechoslovak Normalisation through state-controlled cinema influenced the portrayal of crime/criminality in crime and detective films. The present work attempts to capture the schemes and boundaries within which the dramaturgy of Czech film genre production moved during the so-called Normalisation. The work is based on comparing available data and studies on real crime with its filmic portrayal. The thesis includes a chapter devoted to interdisciplinary, especially sociological, contexts of researching crime and its reflection in society. Another part of the text includes the historical and legal-historical context of the topic under study and the transformations of criminal law. Together with a description of some selected motifs of the film narratives and with an assessment of the extent to which and in what ways selected criminological topics (e.g. recidivism, the problem of social pathologies) are reflected in contemporary professional literature (or statistics) and film, the thesis illustrates with specific examples the ways in which the ideology of Normalization may manifested itself in film productions primarily for the entertainment of the audience (the public). The...
Crime culture of the 1990s and its actor reflection
Zajíčková, Tereza ; Wohlmuth, Petr (advisor) ; Houda, Přemysl (referee)
The thesis aims to interpret the actor's reflection on crime in the 1990s. It will focus on the perception and subjective interpretation of crime, which predictably increased in intensity after the collapse of the socialist regime. This socio-pathological phenomenon, typical of post-communist states, necessarily had an impact on the cultural and social development of the time, which is also reflected in contemporary popular art. The diploma text generally subscribes to the new cultural history and uses oral history as its primary method. The research will use newly acquired oral history narratives from several categories that represent actors in the context of the phenomenon in question - justice, prison, police, etc. In the context of pre-defined contemporary cultural categories, the thesis will attempt to interpret their subjective experience of the phenomenon. Key words: Crime, Criminality, Cultural History, Oral History, ActorReflection

Firstly, the work describes factual life stories that the film adaptations are based upon. Then it compares distinct interpretations with real events, which are understood as fact by many. In doing so, it also outlines the basic plot and possible readings of these instances. The paper compares the media depiction of the single offender and the couple, examining them with a focus on changes in the portrayal and rendering of a criminal's life at different points in time. The main object of this study will be six films shot in the 20th and 21st centuries.

In the first part of this thesis I deal with the historical development of the legal regulation of intentional killings in our territory, starting from ancient Rome and ending in 2009, when the current Criminal Code was issued. I focus on the most important legislation that has been issued throughout history and how it regulated intentional killings. The second part copes with the crime of murder, which first outlines a general introduction to this crime, then I describe the nature of...
