Algae and cyanobacteria in the context of sustainable development

The subject of the thesis is the potential of microscopic algae and cyanobacteria and its research at the ALGATECH Center, Institute of Microbiology, Czech Academy of Sciences. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the potential uses of algae and cyanobacteria, including situating the potential within the context of sustainable development. Furthermore, concepts such as science and research, normal and post-normal science, basic and applied research are defined. To understand the issues, key factors influencing science in the Czech environment are also illuminated. The aim of this qualitative research is to gain insight into the research and cultivation of microscopic algae and cyanobacteria. To thoroughly understand the complexity of the issue, the thesis poses additional research questions concerning factors influencing the cultivation and research of microscopic algae and cyanobacteria. These questions are answered through data collection via semi-structured interviews and documents. The collected data are sorted and analyzed using framework analysis. Science and Research as an Important Positive Externality

The work focuses on the issue of research and development funding from public resources, mainly on the project funding of applied research. The aim of the work is to describe some aspects, which were brought to this area by Science, research and innovations reform approved by the Czech Government on 26th March 2008. Public intervention in this area is discussed in terms of the basic economic theories. The efficiency of public funds spending is discussed in terms of the cost-output-quality output-benefit chain. The part of the work is a comparison of the state funding of the applied research and development in the Czech Republic and other countries. The work tries to find some connections between changes in the way of assessing research quality and direction of financial flows in this area.

This bachelor's degree thesis focuses on the trajectory of drugs from basic research to the consumer and after its succesful completion, the consumer can use efficient and safe drugs. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the trajectory of drugs from basic research to the consumer as a complete unit (research & development, marketing, pricing, distribution, advertising of drugs). Key terms, procedures and actors are explained and defined. Great emphasis is placed on understanding the technical passages, so that the reader without pharmaceutical education could join to topic and after reading would able to "absorb" and understand the basic information.

Trends and research directions of ICT services

The bachelor's thesis deals with recent situation in ICT services and their research trends. The goal of this work is to identify the basic researches, to outline the advance and different theoretical concepts in this area. The work is based on analysis of professional literature -- monograph publication but mainly of available articles in renown professional periodicals, which can be reached from the network of University of Economics, and their compilation according to the goal of this work. The thesis is divided into three main areas. The first area gives compact interpretation about problems in main courses of ICT services research. This part brings theoretical foundation of this work. The second area deals with right definition of ICT services features mainly according to ITIL v3 and COBIT 4.1 and brings comments from the point of view of these methodics. It continues with discussion of possible problems that arise in ICT services management. The third area is about analysis of ICT services research directions and trends. It analyze work places, journals, professinal konference and authors that deals with this theme and designates research directions tires to estimate future trends in this area.

The work is summarize the basic features of edition activity CAS (Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences), the main possibilities for presentation of research working and its direction. But NCSAV didi not have any monopoly for publishing scientific literature. It was commit to the predecessorsŽ activities. As in the published works of the basic research (for instance series CSAV Talks), but also orientated to the popular science works. The study is parsing also the periodical production, which has been changing. Also was sketched the fees policy.

Výzkum trhu v pojišťovnictví

Abstrakt Cílem této práce je zjistit míru pojištěnosti studentů Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze (dále jen VŠE) v rámci životního pojištění, zmapovat povědomí studentů VŠE o produktech životního pojištění, konkrétně povědomí o základních čtyřech druzích životního pojištění ? kapitálového, investičního, rizikového a důchodového, preference v rámci těchto produktů, zájem o sjednání pojištění během studia či v blízké době po ukončení studia a informovanost o výhodách poskytovaných státem při sjednání životního pojištění. Toho všeho je dosaženo na základě realizování marketingového výzkumu mezi studenty VŠE Práce je rozdělena do pěti hlavních částí. V prvním oddílu je vysvětlen proces marketingového výzkumu, popis metod získávání dat, jejich výhody a nevýhody, popis základních pojmů ve výzkumu trhu a tvorba dotazníku ? rozbor druhů otázek a odpovědí. Druhá část seznamuje se základními informacemi trhu životního pojištění v České republice, o základních členěních produktů životního pojištění, pojišťovnách a současných trendech. Ve třetí části je popsána realizace výzkumu ? jeho příprava, tvorba dotazníku, volba metody sběru dat, jeho realizace. Ve čtvrté části je již provedena samotná analýza získaných dat a jejich interpretace. Závěrečná část obsahuje souhrnné okomentování výsledků výzkumu, pohled na platnost stanovených hypotéz. Přínos práce spatřuji ve zmapování pojištěnosti studentů v rámci životního pojištění, vzhledem k tomu, že jsem na jinou práci zabývající se touto skupinou a tématem nenarazila.
