Modeling of water quality in the water supply network
Dukát, Petr ; Rajnochová, Markéta (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This thesis looks at water quality modelling in the water network, focusing on water age. The initial part of the work identifies the factors that lead to an increase in water age in water supply networks. The theoretical part of the work presents the mathematical relationships and logistical steps that software tools apply to simulate water quality indicators in a water supply network. In the practical part of the work, a hydraulic model of a water distribution system with a total length of 302,1 km was constructed. Measurement campaign was carried out to calibrate and verify created hydraulic model. Using this hydraulic model, water age for existing and possible scenarios was simulated. The results of the work have revealed parts of the water supply network containing high water age and are intended to encourage the progressive water distribution systems management philosophy.

EXTENDED METHODOLOGY FOR WATER RESOURCES AND WATER-RELATED ENERGY ASSESSMENT ADDRESSING WATER QUALITY
JIA, Xuexiu ; Ditl,, Pavel (referee) ; Dr hab. inż. Paweł Ocłoń, prof. PK (referee) ; Dr. Aoife M. Foley (referee) ; Varbanov, Petar Sabev (advisor)
Problémy s vodou, zejména její nedostatek a znečištění, ovlivňují každodenní lidský život a hospodářský vývoj. Globální změny klimatu zvyšují pravděpodobnost a četnost extrémních událostí jako jsou sucho a záplavy. Rostoucí problémy s nepravidelnou dostupností a znečištěním vody vyžadují pokročilejší metodiky hodnocení vodních zdrojů, které povedou k efektivnímu využití a hospodaření s vodou. Z pohledu vody a vodních zdrojů je provedeno počáteční zhodnocení energetické náročnosti a produkce emisí skleníkových plynů v problematice odsolování mořské vody.

The bachelor´s thesis concerns the design of a drip irrigation in the selected location of the vineyard in the village of Chorvátsky Grob. The study focuses on the importance and partition of the irrigation in the chosen location. In the first part of the bachelor thesis, there is a description of the irrigation systems history, the irrigation division, the division of irrigation systems and types of droppers. Subsequently, the description of the micro-irrigation is included. In that I describe the characteristics of a drip irrigation and I evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the drip irrigation. I describe the types of droppers with the technical conditions and components needed to build the drip irrigation. All factors affecting the irrigation uniformity and factors affecting irrigation water quality are described. Then I present the method of water treatment used in the drip irrigation and the method of the water transport to the irrigated land. In the next chapter, I describe the division of vine types, the composition and the material composition of grapes. At the end I propose the drip irrigation technology in a particular area (the agricultural cooperative farm, vineyard Chorvátsky Grob). All the land-specific data have been processed and the calculation of the water demand for the drip irrigation for this location has been proposed, especially for critical months. Based on data and calculations, I propose to ensure the irrigation for individual sectors. The necessary water intake and minimum operating pressure in the individual sections have been considered. Map data have been processed in the AutoCad programme.
