HSLS-SSNJ Ideology

Aim of this thesis is to fill in an empty place in the area of scholarly research of the ideology of Hlinka's Slovak People's Party. This thesis offers thorough insight to the ideology of the party to which the clarification of the circumstances that led to the creation of the Slovak republic and approach to the party and its internal division into conservative and radical wings is first needed. Because of the ideological aspect of the primary source, the thesis takes critical stand while working with the literature. At the beginning of this thesis, emphasis is put on explanation of contradictory character of the period from 1939-1945 that marked the existence of Slovak republic. Explanation of the selection of the thesis'theme is supported by this. The core of this thesis is based on theoretical definiton of the word ideology according to various political scientists and then analysis of Štefan Polakovič's view of ideological principles of Slovak republic follows. Ideas of the press body of Slovak republic, Slovák, are included in the thesis as well. View on whether these ideological principles were followed by the party and whether the internal and foreign politics of the party was infuenced by them is offered. True Finns. Establishment of right-wing populism in Finland?

The master thesis "True Finns. Establishment of right-wing populism in Finland?" deals with political party True Finns (The Finns, PS), its historical development and current position in Finnish party system. The master thesis is devided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with populist radical right political parties (PRR), which have established themselves in a lot of Western Europe party systém (inluding Scandinavia). Finland represented a state which had been immune of PRR. The aim of the first chapter is to answer an question, which are the main reasons of PRR emergence, respectively which were the reasons which delayed the Finnish PRR. The second chapter is concerned with political party True Finns (The Finns, PS), its historical development and ideological profile. The chapter reffers to ideological and personal roots in Finnish Rural Party. A part of the chapter is ideological core used by Cas Mudde (nativism, authoritarianism, populism) which is supplemented by an economical programme. The final part deals with the parliamentary election 2012. The final chapter concerns with current PS position in Finnish party systém and with impact on finnish politics. The chapter is closed with positive and negative factors for the future development.
Conception of Leadership in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany

Principle aim of the thesis is to examine different approaches towards the distribution of power between the Leader and the party in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany using a method of historical comparison. Through comparison of ideological bases, ways of establishment and exercise of leader principle by both regimes, the way Fascists and Nazists fulfill their ideological concept in reality is being implied . Key result of the thesis is detecting that German Nazis achieved their ideals more comprehensively than italian Fascist did. The first part defines both ideologies, the second one pertains to concept of the state, the third chapter describes the leader principle, in fourth one the function of the party is outlined and fifth part gives a definition of relation between the Leader and the party. Contribution of the thesis lies in determination of historical phenomena, which represent the potential menace to contemporary democratic systems and society.
